    Nivah Windspeaker, Elf Shaman

All the RP info is in the character sheet, I'll throw it up here later if I get the chance. Also, feel free to point out any mistakes I've made.

I made one final edit to my character, the indecisive person that I am. Mostly putting the personality in the actual post and shuffling around some skills/feats.

    ...Five minutes after the new deadline ^_^;;

These really are good submissions. Why, some might say there's enough prime candidates here for another enterprising DM to set up a game for a lucky few unlucky enough to get in on this adventure. Some might say.

Welcome one and all to the first (and last)...

    Scales of War Submission Awards

We have a lot of prime candidates here with us. A lot of veteran players here, but the most interesting aspect of today's awards is that there are a lot of new players and underdogs here.

    Now before we begin...

    "Yo TiamatZ!"
"I'm really happy for you and imma let you finish, but Tomb of Horrors was the best adven"
*POW* (shoots this joke with a shotgun)

    ...
    ...

Now where were we? Oh yeah!

Before we begin, I will list the nominees of each role 1st(4 max). Afterwards I'll post the winner in spoilers (Cuz I'm that evil!). The fifth role will be based on the range/melee ratio (2:3), cause I decided to stick with the usual party layout (having 3 melee and 2 range players)[Note that it's based on overall powers, spells, weapons etc.]. In this case, we'll go with Controller, Defender, Leader, Striker (Melee) and Striker (Range).

Now without further ado, let's start with the Controllers.

    Controller Nominees:
    1) Natasha Kaliva, Human Orb Wizard by (squishy-blob)
    2) Keldyn Sosoda, Human Illusionist Wizard by (soxbox)
    3) Frotha Skorrsvjar, Dwarven Druid by (jimninja)

Not that many nominees here. And our winner was:
Natasha Kaliva, Human Orb Wizard by (squishy-blob) Congrats!

    Defender Nominees:
    1) Ash Summer, Longtooth Shifter, Tempest Fighter by (samurai6966)
    2) Marc Soban, Human Avenging Paladin by (adventfalls)
    3) Ghesh Alreja, Dragonborn Fighter by (Blurbl)
    4) Kalimac Proudstepper, Halfling Paladin by (illgottengains)

The nominees here were chosen for their character backgrounds, and the winner was:
Ghesh Alreja, Dragonborn Fighter by (Blurbl) Congrats!

    Leader Nominees:
    1) William 'Chocolate' Harris, Gnome Cunning Bard by (susan)
    2) Rena Shepard, Human Cleric by (Hylianbunny)
    3) Dagarth Crossroad, Half-Orc Bravura Warlord by (Tobaggan)
    4) Nivah Windspeaker, Elf Shaman by (Lafajet)

The most difficult choice here, since all of the nominees in this role were straight out awesome!
But ultimately (and unfortunately), the winner was:
Dagarth Crossroad, Half-Orc Bravura Warlord by (Tobaggan) Congrats!

    Striker (Melee) Nominees:
    1) Col de Rah, Razorclaw Shifter Avenger by (Jabberwock7206)
    2) Mornlok Fieldstrider, Minotaur Barbarian by (Kelor)
    3) Galewin Airstrum, Windsoul Barbarian by (Dajian)
    4) Asteron the Stormborn, Minotaur Barbarian by (3clipse)

Wow! A lot of heavy hitters (get it?) in this category!
After their 24-hour arm wrestling marathon, the winner was:
Mornlok Fieldstrider, Minotaur Barbarian by (Kelor) Congrats!

    And finally...

    Striker (Range) Nominees:
    1) Reth Stillwood, Human Dragon Sorcerer by (Cheeseliker)
    2) Gennal Aleman, Half Elf Warlock by (Fencingsax)
    3) Helen Mohiam, Half Elf Warlock by (tzeentchling)

Like the controller, this role was largely unappreciated (or perhaps ignored, but don't tell your local warlocks, Shush!)
After their 12-hour fireworks display, the winner was:
Reth Stillwood, Human Dragon Sorcerer by (Cheeseliker) Congrats!

And here's a summary for those of us that are too lazy to read:
Natasha Kaliva, Human Orb Wizard by (squishy-blob) Post
Ghesh Alreja, Dragonborn Fighter by (Blurbl) Post
Dagarth Crossroad, Half-Orc Bravura Warlord by (Tobaggan) Post
Mornlok Fieldstrider, Minotaur Barbarian by (Kelor) Post
Reth Stillwood, Human Dragon Sorcerer by (Cheeseliker) Post

And that's all for our show!

For all the other players and their submissions... you all had awesome looking submissions.:^:
For that, you guys deserve to get another player to be your DM (just not me:mrgreen:).

From this point on, this thread will become our OOC thread. I suggest all players complete their character sheets (looks at cheeseliker), finish updates on your characters, trim backgrounds and other stuff.

We'll start our IC thread on Friday 9 October.

    Thank you and good night!

    I... am... RUDE!

Dagarth lets out a bellowing laugh. "Come, friends! Last round's on me! It's hardly your fault that this paragon of strength, this font of knowledge, this champion of virtue decided to enter the running after all!" Dagarth's words are punctuated by him pounding the table or flexing muscles. In many other people, this may be mistaken for conceit, but the Half-Orc's boasting has a strange self-awareness to it.

Some pretty impressive opposition, for reals. Shame there aren't as many DMs as there are players. (I guess this means I have to go find a character picture now...)

Ah, now see, if you'd had the sexy-librarian pic ready to go, things might have turned out a slight differently.

On that note... *slips into character*

William turns to the Cleric, grasping her hands gently but firmly, "My lady, we've no need for this adventure, for now with our freedom the world is ours. Let us ride off into the sunset, hand in hand as I sing ballads of your beauty and wit until we come upon a calm green field where we shall see just how proficient with leather you are..."

    Almost forgot.

Please PM me your wish lists (one list from each one of you). Here’s the list of what items the adventure gives, but I’ll only take one item from each list. Here it is:
Parcel 1: Magic item, level 5
Parcel 2: Magic item, level 4
Parcel 3: Magic item, level 3
Parcel 4: Magic item, level 2

However, I will base how many items each player gets (e.g. if one player gets the level 5 item, then he/she won't get another item from his/her list; whereas a player can gain a level 2 and 3 item, but not a level 5 item from his/her list then.)

One more thing: you can choose any item, except those from DMG2 and Aventurer's Vault 2.

Edit: also saw none of you have perception trained. It's not a train wreck, but even with your highest passive perception, you might not be able to see a few things and stuff.

Also, depending on my workload, we'll start either the 8th or the 9th October. So you guys better check each others powers and abilities and see what synergy and tactics you can make/create with each other.

I can swap Intimidate for Perception.

Tobaggan has +10 on it anyway. Don't think he'll need much help. :P

Edit: Eh, do you think I should change my stat allocation slighty for more stickiness?

Edit Edit: Changed Intimidate to Perception +7. 17 Passive.
