Aren't you forced to stay neutral? Like it bugs out otherwise?

I could be wrong, but I think the decisions of these events can still sway your alignment towards Chaos or Law, but after axing Thorman and Gotou, we must have a metric ton of Neutral points to lose.
This is a mild spoiler for the next update's decision, but it shouldn't be a surprising one.
Might be a no brainer.
The Neutral alignment choice is to be forgiving, I think.
I'd need to know if Ozawa presents any justification for his actions before/during/after the fight and what the opinions of our Law and Chaos compatriots are.
However, without that information, I'm just gonna vote Yes. Kill 'im.

None.
Please! I'm sorry, I was wrong! D-don't kill me.... Please!
The only other information is that Bruno wants to be the one to kill him if you opt to kill him, and he asks if you believe he'll reform if you decide to spare him.

I think I still have the opportunity. But won't it be useless in other hands if Toaster's Neutral?
The thing is, it's actually pretty hard to remain neutral in the endgame, even if you disagree with everyone. The enemies you kill have an effect on your alignment, and due to how the game is set up it's likely that you'll end up shifting towards law if you try to stay on neutral. This isn't too bad, as there is a certain "minigame" in a later area of the game
Tokyo destiny land
that will allow you to shift your alignment a bit if you're not too far into law or chaos, which should be the case if you stay against everyone, but you will really be wishing to have a mean to figure your current alignment out confortably.
That is why you should make sure to keep at least two of the alignment constrained weapons until the endgame.
To be a bit more precise, there will be another one of those law/chaos decisions way later into the game, and what you decide there locks you into an ending. However, if your alignment is too far into law or chaos, you won't be allowed to disagree with the particular involved parties. If you're only barely into chaos or law territory, you'll still get the option, but the window of opportunity is not very big.

Part 10: Balancing The Scales
Sorry Angel, it's been fun.
Gaian Princess time.
One of their honor guard joined up, too.
Not very loyalist.
Depends on what you call an appointment.
Like we know when to quit.
You kids remind me of a group of troublemakers I dealt with a long time ago...
and you look like them to boot!
Ozawa! You won't beat me this time!
Why do you insist on opposing me?
That's it. I've had it with you.
I'm going to have Psychodiver brainwash you and turn you into my slave.
Master Takeminakata, please capture these upstarts!
And we caught him by surprise, too.
The end result was unavoidable.
Bel-... no, I can't do it.
Please! I'm sorry, I was wrong! D-don't kill me.... Please!
Hey, are you serious!? You're actually going to look the other way and spare him?
Eh, it's no fun killing the decrepit.
I'm merciful, not stupid.
Hey!
I finally settled the score with Ozawa.
Your soft-hearted approach is at best going to slow me down, and at worst get us all killed!
With the power I've gotten through fusing with that demon, I don't really need to rely on you
to survive anymore, either... I think it's probably best for me to go it alone from here on.
See ya! If we're all still alive, I hope to see you again!
Ingrate.
Go. Play.
How's Psycho doing?
The demons have that effect.
Thanks, kid! 'Cause of you, I'm finally free after all this time!
So, you say that there's this voice that's been calling to you in your mind whenever the moon is full...
Whoever's calling you has something that's invading their mind. Maybe another psychic like me, maybe a demon.
At any rate, because of your connection, whatever is messing with her mind is affecting yours as well.
You rescued me, now it's my turn to help you. Perhaps there's something I can do about this.
I'm going to go ahead to Shibuya. You should come as soon as you can. If your minds are connected,
it will make a prognosis a lot easier to have you nearby.
No prob.
One ultra shortcut later...
Someone, or something, has burrowed into
the deepest recesses of her spirit.
In order to free her, whatever it is has got to go.
In thanks for saving me, I'll use my psychic powers to astrally project us into her mind.
Let's go on in!
Mode 7 go!
Designed in technicolor.
Eh, something's odd here... there's like a... a black mist floating in the ether around the center
of her soul... I can't do it, I can't go any further! Sorry, but you'll have to go it alone from here.
I'll wait for you here where it's safe. After all, if I die, you're stuck here for good!
If you want to go back to the real world, come on back and I'll take you out.
Goody.
There's some nasty critters here, but nothing too unbearable.
What sucks is there were a LOT of them, and this is one huge dungeon.
Fortunately, you're spared all that suffering.
Deja vu.
Same outcome.
I wasn't scared, though. I had known for a long time that you were going to save me.
I just knew it...
Aww.
The flashback is shortlived.
Fortunately, we get another one!
Which is even shorter.
One new friend made out of the deal, then back on the grind.
And something new happens.
You were born specifically to become the Messiah that will save this torn and sundered world.
It is your destiny to become the Messiah and lead the people in the name of God.
Like it or not, that is the path you must follow...
After many more tunnels of pain, the end.
Well, almost.
Humans? Well, that's certainly not what I expected.
I was just about to get this girl under my complete control.
I won't let you interfere at the moment of my triumph!
Ech.
This one was pretty tough. Strong resistances, powerful attacks, liked to charm.
Not tough enough.
Now that we're done soul harvesting, here's a taste of the crap I went through to save her.
Think of all the wrong ways I avoided.
No thanks to you. Well, aside from getting us here I guess.
At least we get to leave now.
Toaster...! You came! You saved me! It looks like...
I was reborn into this world again. My memories of my past life are all but gone.
However, the one thing I remember was you.
My fate is... inseparably intertwined with your own. I must accompany you on your path,
whereever it may lead. No matter where you go, I will follow, and be there with you.
And the family's (mostly) back together.
Ah, you'll live. Or be reincarnated, something like that.
Not sure what to use him for, but he looks cool.
Meanwhile at the Shinjuku Bar...
Psychics don't get drunk, they get wasted.
You're Gaians, rise above.
What with all the money and booze they bullied off me
and my customers, they realize there'd be hell to pay if they came back here!
You really don't want that.
Our Holy Land, the Cathedral, is on the verge of being completed.
It shall serve as the throne of God himself when he descends to Earth from the heavens!
Once the Cathedral is complete, the Thousand Year Kingdom governed by God will
become reality at long last!
Keep telling yourself that.
So Roppongi is kind of blocked off.
That's easily fixed.
Much better.
It's kind of like the Shinjuku Mall.
Only deader.
Much.
Well, it does have a bar or two.
Not ominous at all!
Her name was... Paula, that's it.
Poor kid's been possessed by a demon. They had to lock her up, otherwise
she'd go on a rampage and tear up the place.
I feel sorry for her, but there's not much they can do about it.
Sounds familiar.
A little different, but close.
That's... Paula! My Paula! She's... she's alive! It's a miracle!
But... why hasn't she aged? She looks exactly the same as she did before,
but thirty years have passed since then! How could this be...?
Paula! I...
No! Stay away! Don't come near me! Even though I look like the same,
I'm... not. I didn't survive the bomb. I died in the blast. I know, it doesn't look like it.
This town is nothing but a town of corpses... the dead, reanimated and kept alive by
the Red Count and the Black Baron. I, too, was one of the revived, turned into a Bodyconian.
But unlike the others, my memories of life as a human remain...
That's why they've locked me up in here.
Since I'm a Bodyconian, I cannot die, and am trapped like this.
Unfortunately(or the opposite depending on how you look at it), we don't have one yet.
Roppongi still has its fair share of idiots.
Not quite.
That's how it always starts.
It's kind of dull. Well, except for one new face...
Hey, Mister Toaster. Do you like this town? I want a friend.
Will you be my friend? Pleeeease? You know, this town?
Mister Red and Mister Black made it for me! Oh, I know!
You should meet Mister Red! I'll tell him to let you in!
He'll only meet people that are friends!
I can't wait.
With that forcefield up, the demons can't get in.
That's why this place is free of them.
And that means you won't be getting out.
But I don't get why they act so high and mighty, with all the time they spend around that little girl.
...Japan.
That rings a bell...
Could this have something to do with it?
Mistress, my deepest apologies, but I have direct orders not to let anyone in.
You won't listen to me!? No! No! No! No! NO! NO!
Very well... please wait here while I have a look inside.
Isn't that great? OK, I'll go on ahead! I'll see you later!
Progress.
As you might notice, this place was full of poison floor traps. Nice way to greet guests.
She's quite a lovely girl, that Alice.
We built this town and put a force field around it so that she could
live in freedom, without the fear of being attacked by demons.
Bringing that girl happiness is my one true joy. That's all I want in this world.
Now, I apologize, but I am an extremely busy man. If you'll excuse me...
I bet.
Oh, why not.
Meanwhile, in the basement, the other half of the duo...
Everyone lives here happily, just like they did before all this troublesome mess started.
The Red Count and I initially built this town for Alice, but the others here enjoy it as well,
so it turned out quite well for everyone!
Also creepy.
So along the way to the mall to buy that Hiranya...
A letter.
It's too dangerous to let someone like that live. So I took care of him.
Don't worry about him any more.
- Bruno
If you want to do the whole soul incense thing, you have to do it now. You can get the incense at Rag's place in Shinjuku, you'll have to trade a diamond for it iirc.
I would recommend that you do not do it though, as giving her the soul incense will give you a big boost towards law, which is not a good thing since the higher number of chaos enemies compared to law means that you're likely to shift towards law anyways.
Also, the fact that you can't save before Arachne is evil. That part is easily my most hated part of the game, if only because the possibility of game overing there is actually existent, especially given the random nature of her attacks.
Concerning fiends I can't help you. I know they exist, but I never saw any in my two playthroughs. I don't know if the FAQs at gamefaqs can help you either.
I did encounter a fiend in SMT2 once though. He proceded to wipe my party out in one attack. But that was relatively early into the game.

So I hear this game has Fiends too. Is the encounter rate as ridiculously low as I've heard? I almost want the challenge at this point.
My Japanese and Sprite-fu is pretty weak but this seems to be true. Spoilery spoiler!
Looks like there's only profiles for Daisoujou, Pale Rider, and David (?) They look pretty nasty. Doesnt say where they are encountered though.
EDIT:
The only places their walkthrough mentions "majin" is Ueno, Flooded Tokyo Tower 45th floor, Ginza Underground. I dont know if its a chance encounter there or was just a mention. Or I'm craaazy
As far as demon names go, Belial is a pretty cool one.

Part 11: Malice In Wonderland
(See prelude decision posts above this one before continuing)
So hey, that mysterious demon-sealing pot everyone was talking about?
Yeah, I has one. It was on the second floor of Roppongi.
Better luck next time, hell spawn.
Waaah... waahh... waaa...
>The little girl vanished into thin air...
So much for that, but when one goes, another takes its place.
The harlot returns.
Though still, it's not right to make a little girl cry like that.
By the way, I'd like to take that jar that you sealed Belial in off your hands, if you wouldn't mind.
It's dangerous for you to be toting that thing around. Give it to me, I'll take care of it.
Screw that, and screw you.
*sigh* Why won't you listen to reason?
There we go, just give it over to me. Thanks, I'll take it from here!
>Yuriko took the Belial Pot and left.
F%$#.
And on the way out, another obstacle.
You have just crushed the meager dreams of a little girl under the heel of your boot!
Belial and I... we only wanted to see her happy.
That's why we gave her eternal life... so she would never have to stop smiling...
But in order to do that, how many people did you have to kill!? How many souls did you imprison!?
Them? So long as they remain here, they get to live eternally, in peace and tranquility! Eternally...
Look out! Get back!
I hate him more than his brother... or whatever they are.
With Belial gone, the townspeople's real selves are revealed.
It's not a pretty picture.
And that's... weird somehow.
At least now we can get in here.
A familiar face is waiting. Sort of.
My unconscious body is being controlled by the Black Baron like a puppet.
Unless you defeat him, I'll probably be confined here forever...
Well, we can't have that.
He's gathering souls here, and turning them into energy.
It's only a matter of time before my soul gets turned into energy, too. Help me!
It's on the to-do list.
First, the killin'.
Well, I hate to disappoint you, but he is already dead, and his body is no more.
Though I must say, having you come straight to me certainly saves me quite a lot of time!
More fresh, healthy souls for me! Ho ho ho ho ho....
On one hand, Nebiros is a nasty opponent. Throwing out Mudos with impunity.
Death on impact.
On the other hand, lightning stuns him. Does almost no damage, but it doesn't need to.
So long, soul stealer.
We needed... their life energy... to power this town...
How was what we did wrong? What's wrong with putting everything into pleasing the one you love...?
The whole killing people thing, for starters.
I am forever indebted to you. Thank you. Now I can continue on to the afterlife...
My only regret is that I was unable to save Paula from her fate...
It is time for me to go. Farewell...
I will carry KANEDAAA's soul to heaven.
Weep not, for he shall serve God in happiness forever.
Somehow, I'm not exactly joyful.
On the bright side, the barrier encasing Roppongi is down, so now we can go...
Uh, here, it looks like.
A brief word from our undead Lawful sponsor:
Within the former police headquarters, there's a small army of robotic police.
It's apparently been dormant for years, but someone's activated it again. Please stop whoever is controlling them!
I'm dead and no longer have a body, so I can't do it myself. If you go a little further, you'll run
into an intersection. If you turn right at the intersection and follow the path, you'll wind up in Ginza.
If you keep going straight, you will arrive at the former police station.
Please, Toaster, you're the only one I can ask...
Food for thought.
And guess who still isn't dead?
Are the programs I gave you helping out? By the way, I bet you find it inconvenient only being able to summon three minions at once, don't you?
Do you need to ask?
I thought so. That's why I developed this special upgrade to your summoning program.
Let me install it in your computer, and you will be able to summon four demons simultaneously.
I'll see you later.
I'm sure we will.
Sure could've used you not long ago, slacker.
I've been training myself, and have gotten a lot more powerful.
This isn't the best time.
Ha ha, I'm only kidding. I gotta warn you about something, though.
This passage behind me leads to Ikebukuro. But whatever you do, don't go there!
I can't tell you why, but I'm telling you this to protect you, so please do what I ask.
It's for your own good!
And then he's gone again.
Welcome to Ginza. That awesome music from before? Yeah, it plays here nonstop. Fire it up.
Oh, and it seems I got ahead of myself and visited the police station a bit too early, though I got an early glimpse of some of the new welcoming committee.
Robots everywhere. Well, at least they aren't demonic.
But that's not where we're supposed to be yet, so back to chaos town.
I welcome color at any point during this game's bland background design.
But now for everyone's favorite part and mine- talking with the ignorant masses!
Apparently a demon summoner from Shinagawa saw them with his own eyes!
As to what that is, though, that's anyone's guess.
Nobody knows for sure, but there's a rumor going around that the island actually
floated there from somewhere else. Now where it floated from- that's a good question!
Ueno's just north of here, but since the destruction of Tokyo, the very landscape has
changed so you can't get there as easily as before. I've heard that you can get there via
Ikebukuro, but is that ever one long shortcut! Talk about a detour!
Oh yeah, and the other awesome part about a new town.
Shopping time!
No new melee stuff yet, just some new guns and armor, but that's plenty for now.
(Plenty expensive, too)
Meanwhile, back in town... (Now with more religious drama)
But you know, to me, it looks like nothing more than a power struggle.
I think they're just rallying for support to make taking over easier!
You think?
Robotic drones would protect the station and keep people out, but...
I wonder if the thing is broken by now?
It was even bigger than the island at the mouth of the Sumigadawa river! I'm serious!
Shinagawa is to the south. Go there, and visit the head church of Messiah!
Uh, maybe later.
Only the chosen will be saved! Everyone else will die!
Loathe as I am to admit it, this is one of the few times you won't see a Gaian spouting nonsense.
Ozawa's tyranny has finally been brought to an end! Witness! This is an act of God! God has brought this miracle to show his worshipers that he has not forgotten them!
He is always watching us from on high!
I hope he won't mind watching this.
I was getting stomped by these wicked Ginza demons, so I went and made some more new friends.
Or fiends, whatever.
And now, we finally break in the most fun(and economical) fusion style:
Triple Fusion.
The results are usually awesome, if you play your cards right.
The boneheads love a nice angelic choir.
While checking out Ginza, I got a little ahead of myself, and ran into someone a little earlier than planned.
I have to say, you're quite the impressive one! You haven't been possessed by any demons yet,
despite getting your hands messy in that department. It appears my judgment of you was right!
By the way, have you ever wished you could stock more demons?
Install a Memory Board in your computer,
and you can increase the number of minions it can stock.
It's like ram upgrades, only better.
Unfortunately, that's not happening yet, so, off to the police station.
Aside from being mostly pitch black and full of robo cops, it's a pretty easy dungeon, especially compared to the hell that was Ginza. (I'll get a picture of the map later. It was brutal.)
>The door is broken.
That's what we're here for.
The control system for the robotic police force is working!
With the robots under my command, I'll slaughter the humans, the demons - everyone!
I'll send every last thing in this city to Hell! Heeeeeheeheehee!
Wily?
Take care of them, my robot sentinels!
At least he didn't feign innocence.
Just a few robots, easily dealt with.
That's more like it.
Proceeding with extermination of intruders!
Or not.
Goody.
Cha-ching. This boss was a joke, aside from being immune to bullets.
Oh yeah, and there was a Memory Board within the rubble.
Eh, there's always the sequels.
Off to celebrate a level increase the best way I know how.
More upgrades.
Sweet. SMT vets should recognize this guy. Heck, he even appears in Castlevania and SRT OG Saga/Namco X Capcom as one of Saya's dogs.
He's one half of a Japanese pair of deities, or something like that. Gozuki and Tezuki. They have a special role in Devil Summoner: Raidou 2, and appear in the opening.
I almost made this guy, but that would have required sacrificing Archangel. Nope, not happening.
So doing some more exploring in deep underground Ginza... more familiar faces.
While you were in the Kongokai, thirty years have passed.
Have you gotten used to the post-apocalyptic world yet? I've heard quite a few rumors about you...
You're quite the active ones, aren't you? Hmm, you've grown quite a bit.
I can read the wisdom and maturity in your face.
The path you walk is less-trodden and difficult, but take heart, it is a wise one as well.
Do not worry, I believe you are on the right path. Just take care not to forget
your dedication and stray from it. Whenever you feel you have lost sight of the road ahead,
come see this old man again.
If it helps, I will look into your soul and give you what wisdom I can.
So basically, he's an alignment barometer.
And how the heck is he alive?
Anyway, get bonus time.
Give that over to me, and I'll install it into your computer immediately.
..........Done! Now you can stock another two minions in your computer.
My Demon Summon program has gotten more convenient in that sense!
Sweet.
I waste no time.
And now, off to Shinagawa: Messian Country. Yes, another one.
Except this silly goose wants to try and stop us.
The thought had crossed my mind.
Pishasha! Show this punk some manners!
You mean...
...them?
Next I've got some Baykoks just spoiling for a fight! Think you can beat them?
Bor-ing.
That's it! Time to break out the big guns! You don't stand a chance against my Lakhes!
So, have you gotten estoma yet? Soon the boss experience will become ridiculously high to the point of making random encounters pretty much superfluous. Also, if you don't want to go crazy from some upcoming dungeons, I really recommend that you have it (although, unlike me, you don't seem to be crazy enough to want fully explored maps, and that's probably a good thing).

I think I have a demon with it. What I really could use is a good healer with Mediarama, since both Kaneda and Paula still only have Media.
And yeah, I got a taste of that XP from the Police Station boss.
So, this is probably me being completely ignorant of how the series works, but all the demons, etc., you've been fighting have been named, like, Majin Whatever, or Yousei Whatever.
Occasionally, I recognize the Whatever (Lamia, Bugbear, etc.). What's the first word mean? Is it a measure of rank, or something?

It's the type of demon they are. Typically translated in the localized SMTs as classifications like Divine, Fallen, Dragon, Fairy, etc.
Here's the long version, from GameFAQs, of what each demon name refers to.
). 魔人 - MAJIN [Ma (Demon, Magic) + Jin (Person)]
The rulers of demons, they possest the power, which is second to
none. A lot of them appear to be very epicurean, pleasure-seeking
gods.
2). 女神 - MEGAMI [Me (Female) + Gami (God)]
Gentle godesses, who are full of love and compassion.
3). セラフ - SERAPH [A word borrowed from English]
They were specially chosen amongst all Angels by One God and
given unique powers.
4). 天使 - TENSHI [Angel = Ten (Heaven) + Shi (Messenger, To Use)]
Holy spirits who are the eyes and the hands of One God. But
when confronted with enemy, they take up weapons and fight
most fiercely.
5). 聖獣 - SEIJUU [Sei (Holy) + Juu (Beast)]
The holy animals, comparable to REICHOU. Because they are
holy, they posses somewhat vulnerable apearance.
LIGHT NEUTRAL
1). 神獣 - SHINJUU [Shin (God) + Juu (Beast)]
The very incarnation of ferocious power of a god. They manifest
very strong powers in the battle with the creatures of evil.
2). 精霊 - SEIREI [Elemental = 'Sei' (Ghost, Fairy) + 'Rei' (Spirit)]
The embodiments of four Great Elements - Earth, Water, Fire and Wind.
LIGHT CHAOS
1). 天魔 - TENMA [Ten (Heaven) + Ma (Magic, Demon)]
These gods have the power comparable to that of MAJIN. But they are
not the pleasure-seeking kind - they are strict both to themselves
and to those around them.
2). 鬼神 - KISHIN [Ki (Oni, Ogre) + Shin (God)]
The gods, who personify rage and anger. Many of them are TOUKI,
who managed to gain the power of a god.
3). 龍神 - RYUUJIN [Ryuu (Dragon) + Jin (God)]
Elders of Dragon race. They are the most ancient ones amongst all
gods. They posses intellect that surpasses by far that of any
human.
NEUTRAL LAW
1). 妖魔 - YOUMA [You (Mysterious, Strange) + Ma (Demon, Magic)]
Monsters, who possess high magical power. Their character is more
light, than dark.
2). 地霊 - CHIREI [Chi (Earth) + Rei (Spirit)]
The spirits, who do not have enough fierceness to be an Ogre,
they gain their powers from the Earth.
3). メシア教徒 - MESSIAH KYOUTO [Messiah followers]
Humans who fight demons and believe in the coming of the Messiah.
4). 妖鳥 - YOUCHOU [You (Mysterious, Strange) + Chou (Bird)]
These are the demons of Wind, are attracted to human sould and who
try to steal away anything that catch their fancy. They are
dangerous, but not as such evil.
NEUTRAL NEUTRAL
1). 闘鬼 - TOUKI [Tou (Fight, War) + Ki (Oni, Ogre)]
They delight in strife and conflict, so they are used a lot to fight
someone else's battles.
2). 魔獣 - MAJUU [Ma (Majic, Demon) + Juu (Beast)]
They were normal beasts, leaving by animal intuition, before they were
transformed into demons. They are dangerous, but not as such evil.
3). 妖精 - YOUSEI [Fairies = You (Mysterious, Strange) + Sei (Fairy, spirit)]
The cheerfull and merry monsters. Without any particular preference to
good or evil, they just like to do as they please.
4). 獣人 - JUUJIN [Juu (Beast) + Jin (Man)]
Monsters who were born of a fusion between a human and a demon
NEUTRAL CHAOS
1). 鬼女 - KIJO [Ki (Oni, Ogre) + Jo (Woman)]
They are the goddesses, who bring about destruction. When confronted
with enemy, they kill without a trace of mercy.
2). 龍王 - RYUUOU [Ryuu (Dragon) + Ou (King)]
Dragons who possess a great deal of power, but not quite enough to
make them RYUUJIN.
3). ガイア教徒 - GAIA KYOUTO [Gaia followers]
Humans who accepted the rule of demons and believe in co-existence
of humans and demons.
4). 妖鬼 - YOUKI [You (Mysterious, Strange) + Ki (Oni, Demon)]
As opposed to TOUKI, YOUKI would never accept someone else's rule.
They are moved by anger and only anger.
5). 夜魔 - YAMA [Ya (Night) + Ma (Magic, Demon)]
Fearsome spirits of the night, who possess even more power than
YOUMA. Since the ancient times, they were the closest to humans amongst
all demons.
6). å •å¤©ä½¿ - DATENSHI [ Da (Fall) + Tenshi (Angel)]
Angels, who have once rebelled against One God, but when
their rebellion was crushed, they Fell into the depths of Makai.
Now they are considered as demons.
DARK LAW
1). 邪神 - JASHIN [Ja (Wicked) + Shin (God)]
The most evil amongst the Fallen gods, they wreak destruction,
in order to reap the terror and suffering of humans.
2). 凶鳥 - KYOUCHOU [Kyou (Evil) + Chou (Bird)]
These are the bird of ill omen, which carry bad luck on their
wings. They greedily feed on human souls.
3). 邪鬼 - JAKI [Ja (Wicked) + Ki (Oni, Ogre)]
Gods and spirits who fell even lower then everyone else. Nothing
other than a soul will satisfy their appetite for cruelty and
for revenge.
DARK NEUTRAL
1). 妖獣 - YOUJUU [Yo (Mysterious, Strange) + Juu (Beast)]
Demons of unsatiable appetite. Their powers exist purely for
destruction.
2). 屍鬼 - SHIKI [Zombie = Shi (Corpse) + Ki (Oni, Ogre)]
Corpses, who walk about animated by the power of demons. These
are the so called 'Undead' monsters.
DARK CHAOS
1). 魔王 - MAOU [Ma (Demon, Magic) + Ou (King)]
Ancient gods, who fell to Makai at the time of the Fall. They
are forever scheming to regain the Throne.
2). 邪龍 - JARYUU [Ja (Wicked) + RYUU (Dragons)]
Not possessing much intelligence, driven onwards by their their
greedy appetites and destructive urges, these are the very
incarnations of the powers of darkness.
3). 幽鬼 - YUUKI [Yuu (Ghost) + Ki (Oni, Ogre)]
Intense feelings of human hatred given form upon death, these
creatures exist only to do evil.
4). 悪霊 - AKURYOU [Aku (Evil) + RYOU (Spirit)]
The spirits, formed out of hateful, malign emotions, who do not
possess enough power to materialise, like YUUKI. Because they
lack flesh, their attacks are subtle and cunning.
5). 外道 - GEDOU [Heretic = 'Ge' (Outside, wrong) + 'Dou' (Road)]
Demons who are not capable of materialising. Also, the humans
who allowed the demons to take over their mind.

Part 12 - The Gaian Court (Interlude)
Somehow I thought Messian HQ would be more... blue.
Indeed, it will serve as a marker for when God descends to Earth and incinerates them all in the holy fire of His wrath!
Of course, that'll mean you too.
Hey Toaster, is it just me, or is this statue not the splitting image of KANEDAAA!?
Even if it's just a random coincedence, the similarity is downright uncanny!
They say it's already eaten several people. Oh God, protect me!
But one of the Gaians took it to Ueno. Apparently they intend to feed it to the monster that lives in the sewers. Perhaps they're trying to pacify it?
God has seen his followers suffering and has extended his hand in aid!
At least they're optimistic.
The halls themselves attack those that do not see our beliefs.
Though apparently a Core Shield can negate the damages...
Note to self: Cathedral = bad.
More of the usual.
Eh, why not.
It's not off to a good start.
However, the Americans directly targeted it, and the shelter took direct hit by a nuclear missile. Everyone inside was burnt to a crisp.
Yeesh. (Fun fact: this bomb shelter is a dungeon in SMT Imagine, filled with all manner of nasty demons and ghosts. Might get a pic of it sometime soon.)
And after many hours of very needless pain, I made it to the fourth floor of Shinagawa.
Serious, this place was hell. Again.
I bet you think your minions are the strongest. But you're wrong! How do I know that?
Because my minions are the strongest! Come out to play, Sir Nue!
These guys never learn.
One good Mar-Agilao did them all in.
Okay, next up! It's your turn, Sir Sawobak!
These kids never learn, don't mess with adults.
No more pulling punches! I shall fight you with all my strength!
Almost difficult, except for the whole weak to fire thing.
We get that a lot.
In case you're wondering how much I had to suffer to get some item called a Four-Door Gem, which I hear is important:
A lot. And Shinagawa is four floors. Granted, only the first was that bad, but sheesh.
Anyway, off to Gaian Land now.
Back through Ginza.
Ooh, scenic.
I didn't want to have to be forced to take you in myself...
Oh well, there's no sense worrying about it now.
...Come on, it's time for you to be judged.
Wait, what?
Here, accused of maliciously manipulating demons, the trial of Toaster- in other words, you- will be held. Be sure to mind your manners around Lord Yama!
Toaster, you cannot deny that you have been using a demon summoning program
to summon, control, and bind demons to your will. The evidence is plain as day.
Doing so is in flagrant disregard to the contract between humans and demons since time immemorial.
Now, while such a deed is at face value something difficult to excuse... in such times as this with such
extreme circumstances, it CAN be seen as understandable.
Therefore, if you agree to my request, thus demonstrating that you are using your demons to reach
an honorable end... I shall forgive everything and permit you to continue.
I want you to help hamper the completion of the symbol of Mesia's domination, the Cathedral.
That's up to you.
This will set us on the Chaos Path, I'm pretty sure.
Posts
This is a mild spoiler for the next update's decision, but it shouldn't be a surprising one.
Might be a no brainer.
The Neutral alignment choice is to be forgiving, I think.
However, without that information, I'm just gonna vote Yes. Kill 'im.
The only other information is that Bruno wants to be the one to kill him if you opt to kill him, and he asks if you believe he'll reform if you decide to spare him.
Well, in that case my vote remains unchanged.
So I hear this game has Fiends too. Is the encounter rate as ridiculously low as I've heard? I almost want the challenge at this point.

- Bruno
He's still looking out for us. I think.
I'm sure Alice will be ecstatic.
Next time: Die For Me!
I would recommend that you do not do it though, as giving her the soul incense will give you a big boost towards law, which is not a good thing since the higher number of chaos enemies compared to law means that you're likely to shift towards law anyways.
Also, the fact that you can't save before Arachne is evil. That part is easily my most hated part of the game, if only because the possibility of game overing there is actually existent, especially given the random nature of her attacks.
man, stories can get really crazy.
I did encounter a fiend in SMT2 once though. He proceded to wipe my party out in one attack. But that was relatively early into the game.
Hey mister, I have another question for you.
Well? Will we die for her?
Uhh... do it. The worst scenario you reload a save?
This town sucks, anyway.
Hurry! Hurry and die! Come on! Hurry! Die!!
There, there. What's the matter, Alice?
Mister Red, listen! That boy was so mean to me!
You see... *sniff* I... asked the big kid... *sniff*...to die...
I see, I see. There, there, now, Alice, don't you worry!
Sweet! Wait, what?
To be continued
I guess that if you said 'no' she would have sent mr. black after you instead.
My Japanese and Sprite-fu is pretty weak but this seems to be true. Spoilery spoiler!
EDIT:
(See prelude decision posts above this one before continuing)
Fire it up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZNbZnftnU4
I've never heard that one before.
Next?
Nothing gets past you.
Let me be your apprentice!
That's the spirit!
I like this guy.
And now, we're finally here.
I'm sure they'll be so happy to see us.
Next time: The Holiest of Holy
You need to fix that shit pronto.
Somehow I have the feeling he'll be back.
And [strike]demon-[/strike] angel-fused.
And yeah, I got a taste of that XP from the Police Station boss.
Occasionally, I recognize the Whatever (Lamia, Bugbear, etc.). What's the first word mean? Is it a measure of rank, or something?

Goody.

Call this the last chance to turn the tide.
And shouldn't the Gaians be cool with you subjugating demons to your will, what with the whole Might Makes Right thing?
