What is R.U.S.E? Well you know how all those real time *strategy* games always end up being about moment to moment tactics and meticulous micromanagement of your units? What if you could retain the fast paced gameplay of an RTS while adding the strategy most known for in turn based games - pretty cool huh? Well what about if I told you that on top of that a large part of gameplay was deception, using special abilities called R.U.S.E to mask your true intentions and win the day through out
thinking your opponent, forcing them to make errors and mistakes as opposed to winning because you have a higher APM.
It would take a very long time indeed to explain the gameplay with mere feeble words, so have these lazy youtube links instead!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N27bn4gKS18&feature=player_embeddedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_yWnSaDPa4&feature=player_embeddedKnow your faction (or be confused by an ambiguous card)Know your R.U.S.EDecoy building: This ruse automatically creates dummy buildings. Dummy construction trucks will leave your headquarters and move to these fake construction sites. If the enemy tries to capture a decoy building , the attacking infantry is destroyed by booby - traps once it enters the building.
Radio Silence: This ruse allows you to conceal your unit markers from the enemy's intelligence services. Ground recon is the only way to counter this deception. A recon unit within it's range of detection of a unit under Radio Silence will automatically reveal the presence of that unit.
Camouflage Nets: This ruse allows you to hide your structures from the enemy's intelligence services (fog of war). They cannot be targeted by enemy attacks.
Decryption: This ruse allows you to see all the orders given by enemy commanders to their units. Orders appear in the form of arrows starting from the current position of the unit to its objective or destination.
Spy: This ruse allows you to identify precisely any visible enemy units in the sector, it however does not detect units hidden (such as in a forest or camouflaged).
Decoy Army: This ruse creates five decoy units that will deploy in the chosen sector from the closest construction site. You can then manually move the decoys where you want. Only the destruction of a decoy allows the enemy to discover it's true nature.
Reversed Intel: This ruse reverses the representation of markers and their corresponding units. Light units will be seen as heavy units and vice versa - Tanks will look like infantry, infantry like tanks (from a distance).
Blitz: All friendly units in sector move 50% faster.
Terror: This ruse causes enemy units to flee sooner than normal when under fire.
Fanaticism: Friendly units in the sector will fight to the death no matter the odds!
Note that these RUSE all have time durations and vary from RUSE to RUSE.

Also it's fun, reminds me of a board game.
As per my standard strategy at the moment, I followed up with an anti-tank base to deal with any potential tank incursions and pumped out a couple M10 anti-tank units as a precaution. I also grab a prototype lab and a couple Calliope rocket tanks - these were to clear out the cities of enemy infantry and deal with any other light units or buildings that were in my way.
My initial M10s proved invaluable as just this moment I picked up heavy markers (which enemy armour shows up as until identified) heading down the map towards my Calliope's. I do a quick recon with a jeep to find that they're Jackson anti-tank units - the upgraded version of the M10 which in normal circumstances would easily best them.
I pulled my M10s back a bit to give me some more time but the Jacksons are fast and they were closing in. I quickly produced another couple of M10s and brought them forward to assist my initial two. I was unsatisfied still with this 2:1 advantage so I brought a jeep from the other side of the map to flank the jacksons. Of course, the jeep had nothing in terms of armament but the plan worked - the jacksons turned their turrets to fire on the jeep just as they came into range of my M10s - which made short work of both of them before they could spin their turrets back around to fire.
Thank you auto-acquire AI. Fortunately the game continued to roll in my favour - the guy had way too many infantry squads, which apart from paratroopers and surprise attacks are inherently defensive units. It was merely a matter of keeping my Calliope's protected by tank destroyers and anti-air trucks whilst I bombarded my opponent's supply yards and production buildings from afar. He tried to counter with his own Calliope's but he was using the wrong unit - they're ineffective against other armoured units.
Fun match.
Because for me it shows "invalid code" and when I write that it says that isn't right. And when I refresh the page it still says "invalid code" just written differently

The Russian card has high strenght and low aerial power.
And then they spend the remainder of the card explaining how awesome the Soviet IL-2 fighter bomber was.
This game is sorta cool. It's really hard to grasp what does what because statistics and roles are very ambiguous. It's a game of strategy and not tactics, which really puts it apart from other RTS games.
So far it's worked pretty decent.
If you have a mic, for the love of god disable/unplug it
your mic transmits all the time and you can't toggle that in game. I've seen hilarious posts on the forums of what people say when they don't think they're transmitting - so be advised.
It's interesting to see how many people play this game focusing almost entirely on one type of unit when from my experience most of the time combined arms will win the day, can't complain with free wins!
If you've got any ad blocking software... Ad-Block Plus, for example, disable it temporarily. They tend to block the verification images for some reason.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
A million billion angry B17s.
Thank you camo nets and radio silence.
It has come to my attention that a counter to said B17s exists and is readily available to the intelligent commander who decides to deploy them. Perhaps, like me, you know this to be true?
On the contrary, talk of deception is merely a counter.
edit: Oh, I guess I just signed up to get in at some point in the future. Nevermind then.
Infantry is actually useful! Nothing like destroying a Tiger tank with a unit 1/10 of its cost because they recklessly moved into a city unsupported.
Even when you lose a few skirmishes, the maps are so big and important positions can be defended fairly well with few units, so you dont loose everything. It really is about those important supply depots and cities where you can hide your artillery in.
Recently started switching to the german faction and must say i love the 88 Flak even more than the mobile anti-air units the americans enjoy.
I was using IE7 so .. must be something else. I'm using a proxy so that might be it.

RUSE: Electronic Warfare. Shutdown the enemy commander's ability to direct his soldiers in the field.
It's a beta. Report the bug so they can fix it, if it hasn't already been reported.
And if it has, maybe there's a workaround fix.
They don't even have a tech support/bug report forum :? or contact info for reports as far as i can tell...anyway i did find the problem, the game doesn't like my mobos integrated relatek audio, disable that + usb soundcard = win
You could probably report bugs/errors here.
IOS Game Center ID: Isotope-X
That too will inhibit your chances of getting a valid code thingy.
