Wow, that was the greatest piece of television I have witnessed in some time. Sadly, I don't think there are any other comic books that could translate to such glory.

Y-The Last Man would make a fantastic AMC show. Fables would be interesting, but it would probably be incredibly expensive. You could probably make a decent HBO/Showtime Punisher-Max show.

Arrowsmith on HBO is something I would love to see.
homestuck would make a good tv series, especially on HBO
Jesus Christ.
How would that work?
A narrator (in my head it'd be Bruce Campbell), and chatlogs being done with no spoken words but voiceovers from the cast
you'd need a really physically expressive cast, because 90% of their actions would be wordless, just their emotions in reaction to a scene
mostly CGI for alternia etc
Age up all the kids to at least 16
Memos would be voiced live and be like a simultaneous video chat
It could work, and work well, you just would need an excellent narrator and physically emotive characters
Might need a plot point where John and Co. alchemize video capabilities to give the chatlogging more variety
Rent on

Uh, maybe. I'd say a cartoon is a better fit, but really there is a lot of stuff that wouldn't bode well in either a cartoon or live-action tv show, particularly once you get to the Hivebent stuff.

Would it be a bad idea to watch episode 1 right before bed after spending half the day watching Slenderman stuff and thinking about themes for my horror novel and hallucinating that the shadows are coming to eat me?

To be honest, TWD isn't really scary per say.
I looked at like one slenderman thing like last week. Fuck that stuff. I will not get into that.

this episode had a lot of shock value, but they didn't really deal with the more interesting issue of how to deal with justice in a post apocalyptic wasteland.

You know, most of the cable shows are old syndication or two seasons old like NCIS or Sons of Annarchy, its quite satisfying to see this.
Of course, I have no intention of watching another episode after this one. I couldn't get through Y the last Man so I know I can't handle this.

Yeah, that would be something, but probably insanely expensive as well.
It is on itunes for 16 bucks for the season pass, not a bad deal really.
What's the turnaround time like on the season pass?
I ask because I have a bunch of people that I want to get together with to watch the show, but the location side of things is a little up in the air.
Next day
early in the morning
So early tuesday morning it'll start downloading
Is it going to be on hulu at all?
