I think it could have been awesome if that Cap story had taken place at the beginning of Dark Reign and Red Skull keeps his body and Identity throughout that storyline.

How anti-climatic...
they just wanted him out the way so they can get to the guts of the story. Namely, Dracula's other son opposing what his brother is trying to achieve and going to re-learn vampire karate with some sort of ninja vampire sect.
In a one-shot titled "Death of Dracula" it features very little Dracula, maybe 5 panels.

They showed clips from Capt. America, a trailer for Thor and brought out everyone for The Avengers. It sounds awesome.
