I really like the new Dr Who antagonist, The Silence. Or at least, this species which is a representative of a larger cult/religion.
It's the best combination of Slenderman, the 'Area 51' aliens, and the paranoia of things you thought you might've seen.

Apparently they are designed around Edvard Munch's the Scream. Which rules.
As for Neville Page, he is such a one trick pony. It's got a lot of limbs that bend in ways that you wouldn't expect with multi-mandible mouths that serve to only ever complicate the design as opposed to benefit it.
It drives me mad. I wanted to love Cloverfield, I mean I am a huge giant monster movie fan, but you couldn't even give me a decent looking monster. That Whale design a few pages prior is so much better. Bah he annoys me to know end.
All and all I think movie monsters have been getting worse and worse as technology gets better and better. It's just too easy to add some many fiddly bits to them to make them more alien or "frightening." But iconic? Or memorable? They are all starting to look like masses of bland nonsense with too many limbs or tentacles. And seriously, Giger did the genitals as monster successfully, but he still was far from the first to do that. It's like ever since Alien, every monster is required to have a vagina, penis, or rectum in its design.
Guillermo Del Toro gets a pass though. His monsters rule.

Maybe its because Godzilla 2000 was the only Japanese Godzilla movie I got to see in theaters, but I always thought that suit was the best looking one.

There was the fun aspect of seeing it opening night I won't lie. It was a great midnight show. They gave us all disposable cameras before it started to document our own experiences or something. And then half of the audience had to leave to throw up. My girlfriend at the time was amongst them, and she said the way to the bathroom was like walking through a plague town.
The monster is still stupid and I don't respect it.

It does look the most badass, yeah.
I kinda like the Chryssalid. The Xenomorph with the penis elements replaced with a smiley face.
(If you haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth already, go and see it already before you click this spoiler)
Del Toro's design made me so excited at the news that he and Neil Gaiman wanted to work together to make a Doctor Strange movie. It was just such a perfect pairing for that character.

i thought up a villain for a table-top setting that a friend and i are writing.
"wrongmen"
they're like people (or whatever races they've been cobbled together from), only they're basically mouthless, inside-out horrible patch-work monsters, like if you pulled frankenstein's asshole out through his mouth.
I am a fan of dinosaur and dragon style monsters, and I really dig Monster Hunter's take on them. Saurian-looking creatures just plausible enough that they feel like they could be real.
It's damn hard to find Capcom concept art on the internet though

And of course, this ol' boy.
Don't put giant images in spoilers anymore
They are auto-resized to fit the page anyways
But they do not get resized if you spoil them
And it's really annoying

More monsters should have friendly smiles.

But of course, it was doomed from the beginning
No idea.
I also like the idea of the supermassive Leviation SCP.
the Yexil
part bat, part bug, part lion, and it eats clothes
you can't tell in this picture, but this one has 2 legs arranged front to back
I have a whole folder devoted to images of my favorite creature designs in video games, and these just happened to be in it:
