Battlefield 3 (commonly abbreviated to BF3) is a first-person shooter action video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released in the USA on October 25, 2011 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360[4] and EA Mobile confirmed a port for the iOS platform. It does not support versions of Windows prior to Windows Vista. It is a direct sequel to 2005's Battlefield 2, and the eleventh installment in the Battlefield franchise. The PC release is exclusive to EA's Origin platform.

SERVERS
We have 2 servers up for the Penny Arcade Community to use. The servers are rather unstable this early in the game. Though your stats will be saved, be prepared for either server to crash. Expect some lag on some maps.

It looks really great. It took 6 years but we finally have a proper sequel to Battlefield 2 and it happens to look amazing. The graphics and animation are all a step above any competition and the shooty bits look fun as hell. Can't wait!

    Anyone tried coop? We just tried to light it up and I kept getting this message:
    Something strange happened, please report this issue: ERR_LOGIN_DISPLAYTOS

    Not sure if it's part of their server maintenance, since coop should be P2P.

    Framerates have been really good, usually above 50, never goes lower than 40 I think. Running off a PATA drive. It's pretty damn impressive how optimized this is.

    Level load times, unfortunately, are at the opposite end of the awesome scale, at about 30-50 seconds.

    I mentioned this on Battlelog but I'll repeat it here. I have seen no tweet on the Battlefield feed regarding the stats being reset. I only saw one reference and that was about them being reset after beta. I don't think the stats are being reset. If I missed something then someone should link the tweet directly.

    I thought about trying these "hacks" when I got home but I'll just wait till 11pm and try out some single player legit like.

    My leave doesn't start till Wednesday so it'll be a long day tomorrow if I got some good games in anyways.

    Also, as I mentioned after ramming another jet into a rock... I'm pretty glad about the stats reset, because mine consist of about two hours of crashing jet. After jet. After jet. But, hey! I finally got my stupid Logitech Dual Action configured correctly for jets!


    ...only to discover that I actually hate flying those and choppers will be my love.

    I was under the impression that DICE had just caved and gone 'oh, right, uh... RELEASE IT TODAY! Have fun guys!'

    I mean, really, at this point? Hours and hours after the workaround? Resetting stats seems like it would be excessively punitive.
