And you're in the US realms? I couldn't bring up your profile under MordaRazgrom#1788.
Oh, and delete your email. We don't need it to look up your profile on battle.net.

Duh, I'm smart! Thanks dude
No problem. If you knew your battletag, its easy to look it up. For us accounts, it's us . battle . net / d3 / en / profile / battletagname - battletagnumber /.
First one is from a pubbie who was pissed that this is now on the PTR and not live..
This one is one that I made and just goes to show you what to expect when crafting these. I'm completely satisfied that I do want to start crafting again.

How many did you make and was that one your best? I presume that 300+ is the range for the primary stat?

I only had to make 3 and that INT one was the 3rd one... which is yes, primary stat double roll on both. No idea how many the pubbie made, but only 3 for that INT one (which considering it's only a perfect star topaz + demonic essence + brimstone ain't bad)

It is, of course, hard to know whether your experience is typical given the low sample. I think my barb has something similar to that pubbies one (except with something like 190 STR). To craft something better I am going to need to roll a high crit chance, high crit damage, str (given) and vit. Of course if I could also get +attack speed + AR....

Not terrible I suppose.
Okay so my battle.net ID is MordaRazgrom#1755
It's not that impressive, definitely not minmax or a go-to WD build, but ya know, works for me

"Plans: Staff of Herding can now be dropped on the ground, or sold to a vendor for 0 gold"
Also, Boo crafting.
I will make a few because, damn, that's nice. I just hope we don't see more of this.

Account bound is simply the only way to make it possible to acquire items yourself at a rate comparable to buying from the auction house. If these items weren't account bound, they would just flood the auction house and drive prices way down, which would mean that once again it's better to buy stuff on the AH than it is to craft it, defeating the whole purpose of the system.
And here is your profile: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/MordaRazgrom-1755/
Right now acquiring good gear is pretty much a piece of cake on the AH. If they don't make it similarly easy to find good loot through crafting, then nobody will use crafting, just like today. Nobody wants to gamble away all their money on terrible odds.
Sold my old set of bracers today for 10 million that I had bought back in October for 2.5million. The ones I upgraded to cost 12 million but added MF and Crit with just a bit of AR and STR loss.

Acquiring good gear is a piece of cake. Acquiring godly gear requires billions, which a lot of people who are still playing are at now. By making it easier to craft them, people will have the next best gear in a few months time and Blizzard will have to move the goal post one levrl higher again.
I had some pretty good (rare) shoulders for my Barb that had STR, VIT, AR, MF and PUR which I bought ages ago for 1.5M. Since most people only want Vile Wards (and maybe don't bother to pick up shoulders anymore?) there are way less on the market. However VW are somewhat limited in that you can't have both MF and PUR. I sold my shoulders recently for 16M (having already upgraded to my current rare ones which I bought for 11.8M!)
Similarly my Barb's rare chest piece (which I think I bought for less than 2M). I occasionally look for an ugrade but often there is nothing on the market AT ALL with the same stats. And I am not talking about higher amounts of the same stats but even if I just do a search for STR, VIT, AR, MF, PUR + 2 Sockets with no minimum value there is nothing.

So I think that perhaps people not bothering to pick up rares has led to a decrease in the supply on the AH and a consequent increase in prices for good items.

Hmm, hard to tell if there's drama here or not. Is this normally the sort of thing that would be announced? I don't even know who the heck the dudes in charge of SC2 or WoW are.
In any case I do think the D3 team has made a lot of blunders and Jay Wilson is naturally accountable for them, so I'd be surprised if this was completely unrelated. I'm by no means the game's harshest critic and I think they've done a fair job of fixing things up since launch, but it's a problem that so much of it had to be reactionary after their own decisions were off the mark on so many things. Waffling on the PvP design for so long until finally just scrapping it is probably the most egregious one yet.
Rubber-banding?
But yeah - I often get unique repeats. It was good when it was Lacuni's. Not so good when you are talking threehundredth spear or Visage of Guyia.
Maybe Blizzard have a rota. Today we will be dropping Skorns and Manticores.

Nonsense is nonsense.
Why does "at a rate comparable to buying from the AH" matter? No one forces you to open that AH tab and browse the available items. If they added these same items, and they were not account bound, nothing would change from the player in-game perspective of crafting items. It's only a problem when one expands one's view to incorporate the AH. No one forces anyone to do that.
If you don't want to use the AH, then don't fuck use it. Account Bound items are not changing the degree to which anyone is forced to use the AH, since no one is forced to use it.
You're right that if the items were not account bound they would just appear on the AH. The question is why that matters to people who don't want to use the AH, since nothing forces them to use it.
And "I feel like I have to" isn't a rational argument. It's just an expression of a psychological problem: "I feel compelled to do things I don't want to do." That's not Blizzard's fault.
"Over the course of the next several weeks, I will be moving off of the Diablo III project and transitioning elsewhere within Blizzard."
Off to ruin another franchise.
I shan't make you wait long.
Did you just call _J_ an insufferable shitlord?

But, to be fair, he's not wrong. Though, to cohere with forum etiquette, he ought to have labeled that class of persons "silly geese".
hmm. I still have all 3 of them but a quick scan of the AH showed much better ones selling for bugger-all (eg 100-400k). Were yours socketed with high DPS? Or was there something else about them?
