    It is not as though she is a rich character with lots of interesting depth they can mess up. The story and characters in the first were atrocious. The gameplay was insane and amazing.

    But that atrociousness was blatantly intentional and thoroughly enjoyable. I thought it gave the game that extra icing that really made it that much more fun.

    that and a mother flipping japanese company, set in a culture not...widely recognized for their progressive views towards women (though we're certainly not that much better) gave us a sexual character that really made you feel like she owned her sexuality. It would have been so easy to fuck up and leave her as a sex toy for the male gaze but somehow they really managed to mostly pull it off, with a hiccup here and there.

    she didn't get dominated, she was't cowed, she didn't learn a lesson, she didn't even really go soft!

    i'm a fan. i don't think there's really any other character like her in gaming.

    huh i did a similar thing where i played the first hour or two, made it to the citadel and kind of forgot about the game for a while. then i came back to it a month later and after a few more hours i was totally hooked.
