    Him giving a decent excuse that would be a realistic reason besides making it look like he's sleeping with her would have been nice though. Like "Shes been a good friend since I got back, and we work well together."
    Honestly Isabel saying "give her the night off" implied some things in a really shitty way, and Oliver should have put a stop to that right there, especially in front of Felicity.

    I think they have consistently done this for everything else so far, it wouldn't surprise me. It looks like some solid plants though, with Waller showing up, and her history for what she has been involved with, and what she was going after.

    Possible spin-offs from Arrow:

    * Birds of Prey
    * Black Canary
    * Suicide Squad
    * Deathstroke
    * Huntress

    That's a LOT of options.

    Yes. The reason it failed? It was terrible. The people on Arrow have shown they're competent with DC IP's so them making a new Birds show would be amazing.

    edit: This is what they did to Birds of Prey. :(

    We have a confirmed showing of nightwing too I thought?

    I don't know how they could do a suicide squad show to be honest. At least in the same vein as the comic with monstrosities on the team, and them mass murdering infected people zombies.

    edit: If king shark could be DC's Hulk, I would be so happy.

    That's right. They'd have to recast the role if they give it to the actor from Vampire Diaries.

    It can work, all you need is to make them fight more vicious enemies, backstabbing/trying to escape and they're kept in line with a few good people like Amanda Waller, Rick Flagg Jr. and one or two less evil villains. Like what Thunderbolts did post-Civil War.

    edit: Villains being protagonists in tv shows are more accepted now. The Blacklist, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy have all been successful.

    They could just write/kill him off
    they've done it to that character twice before, once written off by going to live with "family" in Denver, and flat out killed him last season

    It gets worse. To their credit they did have a cool Oracle. Dina Meyer was perfectly cast.

    Deadshot must be the single worst dead beat dad in the world. Think about it.

    He's got a daughter in the comics. They did a mini-series where he finds out that she's living in a shitty part of the city so he goes in and murders all of the gang members then fakes his own death. So yes.

    no, just getting at how he tends to disappear for half the season for at least two out of the four finished season of the show...Tyler is now busy ruining the originals. But anyway back to arrow.

    God damn it. Bulgarian girl just made me realize what's going to happen with Oliver's new business partner:
    When he was on the island, they had the mercs call up to "their boss" who was a women wearing high-heels.

    It's her - it's totally her with the plan to shoot down planes coming into China.

    such monster

    okay so I just blew through all of this and I have some feelings
    John Barrowman: so good. I cheered when he turned up, and him just turning everything up to 11 in the finale was great. I am sad he is dead but I am not sad his lameo TV son is dead.

    The scene where Laurel and Ollie are mackin' and Tommy is standing outside moping while Radioactive plays: AMAZING. Give the CW every Emmy you got. Also amazing: Thea's texting-and-driving rant during the big earthquake scene.

    The island stuff is kind of silly but I kind of like it. I'm glad Fyers got blown up because he was a boring-ass villain.

    I really could not care less about either of the Lance sisters at this point and I wish Black Canary was somebody else. :\ I do like Paul Blackthorne as Detective Lance, though.

    A lot of the supporting characters are really good. I'm disappointed they killed their version of Firefly, because he was goddamn scary and had a great look. Deadshot is growing on me a lot. I really liked all the Huntress stuff, but I can understand the complaints about the actress.

    Felicity and Ollie at the end of the latest episode: :'(:'(:'( c'mon CW throw me a bone here

    I look forward to Summer Glau being revealed as Talia

    Okay, that's it, I'm done

    So I guess we won't be seeing the flash in costume on arrow, but at least we will be seeing the origin story that they have been dropping hints like crazy for. I'm still not sure I love the fact that they are in the same world though considering how hard the show has been working to avoid superpowers.

    Nyssa Al Ghul, Katrina Law
    The daughter of Ra's al Ghul is coming to Starling City — but it's not exactly who you'd expect.

    Spartacus alum Katrina Law has been tapped to play Ra's al Ghul's other progeny, Nyssa al Ghul, on Arrow, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

    On The CW series, Nyssa is a powerful member of the League of Assassins who comes to Starling City in pursuit of The Canary (Caity Lotz).

    PHOTO: First Look at The Flash's Arrow debut. Plus: New details on Flash pilot

    In the comics, it's revealed that Ra's al Ghul had a love child while traveling through Russia, making Nyssa the half-sister of Talia al Ghul, whom Marion Cotillard portrayed in The Dark Knight Rises. With Nyssa coming to town, it may give some credence to a popular theory that Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau) is secretly Talia — or we could just be crazy!

    Law, whose other credits include Legend of the Seeker and Chuck, will first appear in the 13th episode of Season 2, aptly titled "Heir to the Demon." Law's casting marks yet another Spartacus reunion of sorts. Manu Bennett plays series regular Slade Wilson and Cynthia Addai-Robinson recently joined the cast as Amanda Waller.

    Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW. Are you excited to meet Ra's al Ghul's other daughter?

    I'm still in season one, but I'm curious, does the show ever go magic/supernatural, or do the villains and such stay grounded in reality (or close enough, I just saw the first Count episode, and he's hilariously over-the-top).

  • Kipling217Kipling217 Registered User regular
    For the first season its strictly grounded. In the second we have seen hints that it might be possible to get superpowers.

    The way this show is going, I am expecting Ollie to change his name to Bruce Wayne.

    Nightwing, League of Assassins, Ras al ghul and now the latest news... Starling City is starting to resemble Gotham.
