Can we immediately nominate Gizzilla into the meme category for today? Or will we have to actually carry it through an entire year of Phalla's first?

Whatever, it's underneath today's nominations so it counts!
    Gizzilla

Also, whilst technically illegal due to the formal rules of the HoPo league, the village network in HoPo, (MrT, Sir Fab and I).
I wouldn't nominate myself, but it's the only team I've seen survive (I may have eaten Tiph's awesome clan for newbies in DDS). And we were based purely off stupid blind trust more than anything, whilst we won the game.

What is a gizzila? I'm not voting for something I've never heard, but m-vibe I can get behind :winky:

  • EgosEgos Registered User regular
Yeah it's not a nomination, it's Gizzy + Godzilla regardless.

m-vibe actually gets my vote also because it's so awful

I was secretly hoping m-vibe would catch on

  • discriderdiscrider Registered User regular
Well, if Gizzilla's not going to cut into the line this year, then I'm going to have to go with m-vibes.

Honorable mention to CesareB and Invictus, the runners up.

    Oh we're nominating things?

Man, people did all sorts of betrayal roulettes in Phallamon, pick something from there, I can't even remember.

Gandalf and Infi in Phallance Squadron, those exchanges still make me chuckle

Never trust outed mafia! says the Serial Killer. Especially when they tell the village who you are freaking four days before you win. Seconding Buddha.

I'm nominating Obi for "betraying" everyone as a host, and advertising a vanilla game, only to make every single villager think that they are the mafia and only the real mafia knew what was up.

Iron Weasel and MikeyCTS as the Xaphos brothers. Not sure if they count as a duo, or enemies since they were technically competing.

I can't help but feel that the betrayal category was so much richer last year.

But I will second Obi because I think "best" can be used here in the sense that it was most good as opposed to simply being the most betrayish.

    Seconded.

They had a string of games where they were pretty duo-ey if I recall. I remember thinking they were the new INANTP/Langly (if INANTP/Langly were no longer around, which they obviously are, but they won last year).

I still hope it catches on.

Maybe I'll start playing again regular like and just use it constantly.

I nominate Obifett from Knights of Arcadia

    Here's what happened.

The mafia just happened to target him for death that night.

He had been contacted by someone (a seer) who told was rather terse but basically was trying to network.

He told someone else that if he should die by the mafia that night then the village should kill aforementioned seer. Because clearly they were mafia because this was a munkus phalla.

He then sent his kill order in on the only other seer in the game.

So on night 2 the vig died, killed a seer, and forced the third seer to publicly reveal themself to avoid execution by mob and only to get kill by the mafia instead.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Flarne, Tayrun, Baidol, jdark, INANTP, Assuran the Bear, myself, and Obi as the Templars and their minion villagers in Dungeon Crawl 2, the first honestly-earned village win I'd seen and still one of rather few all year. Honorable mention to a lot of people who helped along the way with that one.

GG's Out-of-Game Betrayal of Buddha as mentioned by Bedlam above, so we're not write-in voting for that.
