This is my favorite kind of stealth game, where it's less about getting in and out completely undetected and leaving the enemy none the wiser, and more about getting in completely undetected and just killing everyone on the way in

Being expected to leave enemies alive is just frustrating more often than not

It has a fantastic combat system and great characters

The characters are well drawn and fun
The combat is a blast
The story goes from whatever blah fantasy to what-the-fuck-is-happening insanity halfway through

MGS1 actually auto saves pretty frequently or at least the ps3 ps1 classic version does

It checkpoints you. It won't save to the memory card/virtual memory card in any version unless you call Mei Ling.

this stuff makes me so happy. for a long time, for whatever reason, i'd assumed that tf2 no longer had any real competitive scene at all. turns out i'm totally wrong! its small but passionate and it makes me happy that people are out there playing the game the way it deserves to be played
