I'm fairly sure snapchat isn't secure anyways, the best they've been able to do is make it clear to the other user that the feed is being captured.
It is impossible to stop the capture of videodata from someone who is willing to work hard enough, because right at the end stage, no matter what trickery you use, all those supersecret data points are being turned into display data and if you copy that you're set.

I'm playing a Japanese-made Gears of War clone called Binary Domain and I've squicked myself out. A small part of the game is about keeping your teammates' morale up; if you do things that impress them or make them happy, they perform better in fights. My fellow American soldier Big Bo walks up to me, points to the female Chinese soldier Faye and says, "Hey, the new girl's pretty hot, right?" I can answer yes or no and I want to keep Big Bo happy so I answer yes. Big Bo's morale is raised. Faye overhears our whispering and tells us to both start acting like professionals and her morale goes down.

If you plan on using it as a computer also, 3200x1800 16 gig. If it's just gaming, 1920x1080 8gig.
But I think he will get another year or two of ultra settings out of a good looking 900p than he will a good looking 1080p - that extra one hundred and eighty p is a lot of pixels to keep track of for a mobile GPU on modern games.
