This is the television thread where we post about television and I'm Perd Hapley.
Parks and Recreation ends next week and Once Upon a Time returns soon after thus prompting millions to go into a deep depression.
Is Parks and Rec the best sitcom ever? It's definitely up there.
Is Once Upon a Time the worst show ever? Nah, but it sucks pretty hard.
I should watch Justified?
And I keep meaning to watch The Knick.
And YaYa has a podcast or something about TV shows... It was a lot cooler when TLB was on it.
So harken unto thee and post about TV.
Talk about the lack of good Native American characters (except Ken Hotate, he's the damn man)
Talk about multi cam vs single cam
Talk about New Girl or how Modern Family isn't that great anymore.
Talk about whatever the hell you want I guess.

The did an entire robbery job but used only POV cameras, cover cams, and Sec. Cams all while doing thier, by now patented, Banshee style.
Even the same tense brutal fight scenes and shoot outs.
Its pretty neat.
Like a live action version of Payday.
I can't even tell you how amped I am to get to the good Kinaho shit
So far, I've only seen the one episode at the casino. But it's definitely the most accurate portrayal I've ever seen of an Indian casino. I even thought the joke a white dude cracked about its agedness (Something like, "The Kinaho have a deep respect for their history, which I guess is why they haven't updated anything since the 70s") was way more clever than most white-dudes-joke-about-Indian-shit jokes.
It's worth noting that this is one of the rare cases where I'm okay with a totally fictionalized tribe. As outlandish and violent and cartoonish and weird as the show gets, I think it's smart to have a fictionalized tribe instead of dragging somebody's real heritage into a live-action Itchy & Scratchy cartoon. That it still feels authentic while being an utter fabrication is something that sets it apart from, like, Infamous: Second Son.
WHAT.
I always wanted to rave about it but i did not want to sound insensitive and i don't think i could possible have described "Sheriff Hoods" schnick any better than you did in your earlier post.
My description would be: a modern version of "Man with no Name".
I honestly think if they ever reveal his real name it will most likely be so huge narratively speaking, that it will be saved for the last season.

hey
...
shut up
I love you
I get really bored being awake at night on my days off.
Also the only character that you can legitimately root for as a "good guy" is the gay son. Everyone else is various shades of conniving, monstrous assholes.
Courtney Love is also in it, essentially playing a massive fuckup who is not Courtney Love (but is, seriously, Courtney Love).
Episode 23: Don't. Fuck. With. Polar. Bears.
@Balefuego and I get so salty about The Slap

The first season is really scatter shot, so far, but in a way that's extremely watchable. Basically, if they get bored of a storyline, they jettison it with admirable speed and gusto.
Which is jarring, but bullshit-free
I've only watched the first episode this morning, but I'm really kind of digging the almost grindhousey fever dream feel of it.

It seems like it's good, but give me the elevator pitch
John Carpenter directs a crime thriller, which also happens to have Amish folks and Indians
Flashback episodes are pretty much always the worst, and this is no exception
What a pile
sooooold
Is the this the episode with the MMA fighter?
Maybe? Big albino prisoner who can't act for shiiiiiit, and a guy who looks just enough like Jon Lovitz to make me desperately wish it was actually Jon Lovitz
AMERICAN CRIME.
-Indiana Solo, runner of blades
That joke's a bit in poor taste.
So's bullshitting a war story
having watched 3 episodes of Black Sails
this seems like a trick
It did not sell itself to me.
Satans..... hints.....
was it
then
no sail?
I almost flagged that comment.
