The fact that very often the only reward for completing a chalice dungeon is materials for doing another chalice dungeon is fairly demoralizing, I got up to the Loran BSB and it was such a brick wall and the likelihood that behind the brick wall would be another potentially higher brick wall that I had to throw in the towel. I wanted to see Great Isz but that just ain't happening
The thing about Bloodborne's lack of weapon breadth is that the weapons in this game are better balanced and designed than anything in any other souls game by a significant margin
Every single weapon is viable. And not just in a "oh you can beat a souls game at level 1 with an unleveled club."
I mean like, legitimately well designed and balances to never be bad if you like to use it.
This is a tremendous, ridiculous accomplishment given the rest of the series.
As for availability, it does sort of suck that you have to wait so long for certain things, but I would be way more bummed out personally if I got nothing for progression except achievements. Weapons are the best thing about the game, and it is a real joy to try new ones, so they are IMO the most appropriate reward for success.
I go to Hemwick can't beat the boss solo, can't find help for some reason
Where else can I go?
Back to that jail?
I need to finish my first playthrough before I get back in to Destiny
From the grand cathedral go down the staircase and through the gate, then to the right through a doorway guarded by a giant
Look around back there and you'll find the next place to go
You should really finish up Hemwick though, super good thing there.
Eh if you're having a hard time with the witches then it wouldn't hurt to start through the forbidden forest. By the time you make it to the main bonfire you'll probable have enough levels under your belt to beat the witches easy
Finally beat that dumb dog through the slow and steady method of dodging until I can hit his head
It would have not been half as bad if I wasn't at half health, it makes your mistakes so costly
I think amygdala is next, I beat him in ng+ no problem so even with half health it shouldn't be too bad, but these chalice dungeons have surprised me before
were you under her legs? because the strat i used was to just stay at ranged and do a jump attack on the head whenever there was an opening, and that made it pretty easy to see every attack
except for the third phase where you just get behind the legs and bait jumps but when you get to that point you've already won until this happens
That's basically what I did too to eventually win but he's got a lot of range on those hand smash attacks and you have no room whatsoever for error with them. It just got tedious.
i just ran backwards when she did that big full body slam move and outranged it, the recovery is long enough you can run away then in and do an attack and run away again
if you're doing jump attacks there's only like 1 or 2 attacks that don't give an opening, so it's actually pretty quick when you get the timing down
whereas i just found watchdog to have like 2 attacks that had any opening at all and even then sometimes i'd get hit when backing away. and waiting for those 2 attacks sucked.
the moon you see the first time you reach the byrgenwerth lunarium
it isn't a full moon
it's a waxing gibbus
but the paleblood moon is full
more evidence to Rom being use as concealment?
Spoiler discussion
I WOULD say concealment, I would, and that Rom is actually hiding shit really going down and is actually a bad kin monster thing.
But that note you get before the Cathedral Ward with "The byrgenwerth spider hiding their lost master", along with exactly WHAT goes down in the endgame tells me otherwise.
I mean, Bloodmoon hits, nearly all of Yharnam save the survior's you find that take shelter in the Oedon Chapel get insta-teleported to Yhara-Ghul and get mass blood sacrificed to summon The One Reborn, and Mergo's Presence(and crying) which could only be detected with obscenly high insight plauges you for the rest of the game.
I think Willem wanted you to end things, because even if he couldn't see and was a shell of his former self, he could still tell you were a Hunter by scent, and probably figured if you can kill Rom then you could handle what tide Rom was stemming, and put an end to it for good.
So yeah, it could be Concealment, but I honestly believe Rom was a stopgap

but the child being born requires a blood moon, meaning one of them had to had come quite a short time before the game takes places - the messages indicating that the source of the increasing waves of the plague needs to be destroyed, and that a baby has to be dealt with, appear before the blood moon is revealed.
the child being born inside the nightmare is what led to its survival, and the increase in the scourge of the beast that's been felt through the city. that, alongside the astounding number of celestial larvae in the upper cathedral ward, makes me think the church were still doing their best to make their very own half elder thing child and failing - and it also fits in to why the hunt always takes place on full moons (actually blood moons) when the line between beast and men is blurred and more transformations occur.
I'm pretty sure Willem's been dead for a good long while already, at least since byrgenwerth's been blocked off - he clearly has something growing on his back, and its shape reminds me of that fungus that takes control of ants and makes them kill themselves in order to spread. Something's living in Willem's body, but I don't think it has anything to do with the person who inhabited that meat sack previous
it's possible whatever they did to block off the moon's outward appearance also disrupted communication with other elder beings though
One thing I feel is kind of weirdly absent is the government of Yharnam, it seems like it's the Church and the people and that's it, like where's the militia, where's the damn police, it seems like "lynch mob" is the default form of civil protection and that just doesn't work in a city the size of Yharnam

By the time I got some of them it was impossible to get them equal to what I was already using without hella grinding
Like, its a straight forward fight. You kinda just gotta beat her
Yeah this is the worst offense. The grind for chunks is fucking terrible and only two rocks a play through downright criminal.
Read the amulet you got

You kinda just have to learn the blind timing of Amy moves because they are all huge and its impossible to see all of thanks to the camera.

Simple mistake, really. Easily fixable.
