This one time I was downtown with some friends, and we were planning to go to Olive Garden but it was packed so we found another Italian place a few blocks away and it was one of the best meals I've ever had, for a reasonable price even. I never found it again so either my memory is crap or they went out of business.

I'm in the minority, but I enjoy Macaroni Grill more then Olive Garden for my carbs and fats fix. Then again, I only order the Penne Rustica from there.

For some reason I'm always going to Carrabba's Italian Grill and always ended up thinking I just spent too much for Olive Garden level food.

Carabba's is a little pricey but never struck me as overpriced. Macaroni grill on the other hand has a very bad rep around here for being too expensive for too small a portion.

That's the thing. Everyone around here likes Olive Garden way more, so it's always loud and busy. Macaroni Grill is always quiet and empty.

we used to go to vince's for italian food when I was a boy. weird thing was they only served ravioli on certain days of the week. and then I read this on their website:

"Not since raviolis became available daily has anything this exciting happened to Vince’s!!! For the first time Vince’s is opening it’s doors for lunch with exciting new food items on the menu. Each day features a special sandwich or salad that is only available during lunch."

the times they are a changin'

Gonna have one of these tonight. Not sure which yet. These aren't their biggest pizza's either, you have to special order the 45cm ones and they can have up to six toppings and weigh 3kg's. Feed 3-6 people.

They also make snacks for your dogs and take their last order at 11:45pm. It's probably the greatest pizza joint in town bar none.

Olive Garden is to Italian as Panda Express is to Chinese food.

And if you try to take any of mine you'll have to dig a fork out of your hand (or chopsticks if I'm at Panda Express)

I'm surprised Japan didn't come out with it first; they're usually pretty good about coming out with odd flavors.

we dont have chick fil a here so i dont know if i made a good copy or not

but fried chicken is nice and home made is a nice change from the salt and grease infusions most local places dredge out of their oil filters and serve in cardboard buckets

Folks, I can't state how much I love eggs.

I think I eat at least four a day.

I want to pump that number up.

They take a distant second place to a lukewarm can of Mt. Dew and a stale Twinkie that's been sitting opened on the passenger side seat for the past couple days.

The running late in the morning dillemma...how old is this half cup of gas station coffee? The answer is always "not too old".

For that matter, dessert chowder doesn't sound that bad either. Could take or leave the candy corn, but I'd give it a try.

RE: Candy Corn, the only candy corn anyone should eat is the Brach's type. If you get the shit your grocery store puts out in clear plastic bags/tubs then you're eating gross-ass shit but Brach's is actual tasty candy.

My friends have the most curious addiction to Applebee's and I will never understand

That place is actually as bad as people think Olive Garden is
