You have to get a gun called "Husk of the Pit" which is supposed to drop from the Blade of Crota (the one you farm for the Eris Morn bounty in the Fist of Crota mission).
Unfortunately, there's a bug where it's no longer dropping and it won't be fixed until sometime in August when Bungie rolls out their next update.
From my understanding, what you have to do is level the gun up, combine it with an item you buy from Eris Morn (probably have to be rank 4 with her) and then level THAT gun up and combine with a crux of crota (~10% drop chance from HM Crota)

Wow, I finally figured out how to actually reset a mission. Fucked up on farming Exclusion Zone. I selected the mission, brought up the difficulty menu and pressed square (not X) to select it and it actually warned me that the mission would reset. Yay!
Aaaaaaand my Vita keeps disconnecting from the PS4. Just did it twice in the span of like 30 seconds of play. Fuck farming, I'll just suck up and deal if there's something good that Sim Sim Salabim is selling.

your own experience regarding drop rates do not neccessarily reflect the average, I remember it took me more than 2 hours to find a Husk myself and a lot of people considered me lucky back then.
(5) Dont make me laugh, a couple of Crota kills is all thats needed to get a Crux? Seriously? tell that to @jefe414 who has killed this asshole 25+ times (I actually looked it up, he has 20 full HM completions, I know he has some Crota only kills too, which arent listed) and still havent gotten a single one.
I'm pretty sure I've gotten the most Cruxes of our group (3 of them) and they most certainly did not have a 50% drop rate.

Yeah, I farmed those damn blades for weeks and finally got a single Husk after something like 15+ hours of killing just those dudes.
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Guys, that is a fucking phenomenal roll on the Timur's. Braced Frame + LitC is mini-Hawkmoon. I wonder if Triple Tap can land you a LitC round? If so, this gun is ... let's just say, I'll be grinding specifically for this to test it out.
In fact, thinking about it now, I really wish I had bought the Lash instead of the Chest/Etheric combo. I really should have looked at it first.

I'm still amazed that Bungie cant even fix the Iron Banner rep glitch, couldnt you just reset peoples Iron Banner reputation a day after the Event ends? Which is 3 weeks before the next one starts.
I havent tried the glitch since I'm at work at that time though.
Did they ever add in the new maps into Iron Banner that they said they would do, like 5 IB's ago? I cant recall seeing any of the new ones in there.
To be fair, the other side of the planet has been able to take advantage of that glitch for a long time. I'm glad they moved the start time so that I can finally partake for once.

The Dark Below maps are in the rotation. None of the HoW are, obviously. I think the rate of seeing them depends on how long you can stay in the same lobby. People tend to jump from lobby to lobby when doing IB so the rotation tends to "reset" for the group and you end up in Pantheon so many times.

Honestly I only bothered doing it because A) My lab is deserted right now as everyone's in Zambia on a field expedition and I'm getting ready to go on vacation, so I have a lot of wiggle room in my work schedule and I'm leaving Friday and will have no time to properly grind IB. Hitting Rank 3 even while getting my other weekly stuff done was going to be a skin of the teeth proposition.

(5) Dont make me laugh, a couple of Crota kills is all thats needed to get a Crux? Seriously? tell that to @jefe414 who has killed this asshole 25+ times (I actually looked it up, he has 20 full HM completions, I know he has some Crota only kills too, which arent listed) and still havent gotten a single one.
I'm pretty sure I've gotten the most Cruxes of our group (3 of them) and they most certainly did not have a 50% drop rate.
Yeah, I farmed those damn blades for weeks and finally got a single Husk after something like 15+ hours of killing just those dudes.

Guys, that is a fucking phenomenal roll on the Timur's. Braced Frame + LitC is mini-Hawkmoon. I wonder if Triple Tap can land you a LitC round? If so, this gun is ... let's just say, I'll be grinding specifically for this to test it out.
In fact, thinking about it now, I really wish I had bought the Lash instead of the Chest/Etheric combo. I really should have looked at it first.

The Dark Below maps are in the rotation. None of the HoW are, obviously. I think the rate of seeing them depends on how long you can stay in the same lobby. People tend to jump from lobby to lobby when doing IB so the rotation tends to "reset" for the group and you end up in Pantheon so many times.
Honestly, if it's not done, it's likely difficult to implement due to the way certain sub-systems work. Something along the lines of why the Heavy Ammo bug was hard to fix.
