I know my Amazon wishlist has tons of expensive stuff in it, but don't feel like you have to hold to any of that. Also if you do get something from it but not from Amazon, please make sure you mark it as purchased as I share that list with friends and family members as well. Honestly I'm sure whatever you get me I'll like. Feel free to ping ideas off rhylith or Yukira, they know my likes a bit. Thank you very much in advance!
[edit] Random thought - I remember seeing some rad looking Dark Souls/Bloodborne posters on Etsy a while back: I think they were by this person Crowsmack. I always thought the Elieen the Crow and The Nightly Hunt ones were awesome.
If you click on the picture in my signature below, that'll take you to my Steam wishlist. I play most of my games on PC, though I do have an XBOX One and PS4 as well. I'm always down to play new games. My favorite games lately have been Overwatch, Fallout 4, and Dishonored 2, so if you find something along those lines that I don't already own I'd be open to trying it.
I have a piano and a couple guitars that I dabble with in other free time, so guitar accessories or anything that would help me learn to piano good would be cool.
I also like books: I read American Gods and would like to get into more Neil Gaiman, or other novels in that vein. Not really big on non-fiction. I've read just about every one of Stephen King's books - he's my favorite. So stuff like that.
I would prefer not to receive clothes cause of my weird dumb body and how things all fit so differently, though I'm totally fine with accessories like hats and scarves.
IMPORTANT POSTSCRIPT: I added a note to my signup regarding my addresses, how I will be away from home for an extended period and my mail is going to the address listed, which is a friend's house. Please keep in mind if sending anything perishable that I will not be able to receive anything until the new year.
...also please don't use this information to rob my house.
One day, though... One day...
Hello dear Satan
I beg that you peel open this spoiler and cast your blinding gaze upon me
I’m a 31 year old blond haired blue eyed dude. I’m about 5’7” and weigh about 155 pounds.
Clothing wise, am generally a small (sometimes xsmall) when it comes to shirts, although I sometimes get mediums if they are a particularly small medium. American sizes are a little weird for me, so if it helps at all, I bought some shirts from Gap last time I was in the US and found that xsmall fit me very nicely. I am quite fond of more fitting tees and slim long-sleeved shirts. I’m not too fussy about colours, though I am rather partial to blues, light greys and softer reds. If I have designs on my shirts, I like them to be quite minimalistic and simple. I've had a resurgence of interest in geeky shirts lately, so I openly welcome anything clever that you think I might like.
I’m always in the market for some decent sunglasses too. Mine seem to break constantly.
My shoe size is 8.5-9 in Australian sizes.
Do not buy me pants please, I am the worst to buy pants for. I have a weird butt. The weirdest butt.
GEOGRAPHY AND VELDRIN:
I am from the Northern Territory in Australia. Please keep this in mind if you are from anywhere that is NOT Australia, as things from overseas often have a tendency to take forever to get here for some reason. Also, our quarantine restrictions are pretty damn strict here in Aus, so if you send non-commercial and/or non-sealed food over it might not be guaranteed to make it through customs ever.
GAEMZ:
I own a PS4, a WiiU and a PC. Of the three I probably use the PC and PS4 for the majority of my gaming.
I have a pretty wide range of interests when it comes to videogames and I’m willing to try almost anything, with the only major exception being grindy and loot-heavy RPGs.
My Steam profile is in my signature and it gives a good idea of the sorts of things I’m into.
THINGS I LIKE TO DO SOMETIMES I GUESS:
I freaking love artwork. Both looking at it and doing it myself. If you are creatively inclined and want to make something for your Satanee, I am ABSOLUTELY 100% UP FOR THIS AND WOULD LOVE IT SO MUCH. I cannot stress enough how much I love other people’s creations, no matter what form. The imagination is a wonderful beautiful thing. Drawings, knitting, pottery, writing, absolutely anything creative. I love it. Give it to me.
As I mentioned, I enjoy drawing too. I do most of my work digitally and I’m reasonably well set up in that regard already, though I've been super lazy lately and haven't done much arting in a while, but I'm looking at getting back into it more seriously, so any ideas for assistance with that would be awesome. I also collaborate with my wife in some physical media from time to time, so stuff like decent pens or other equipment would still be very much appreciated!
I work out very regularly at the gym and try to go running when I can, so fitness related stuff would be great too. Also a decent protein powder is always appreciated. I currently order WPC proteins from Protein Direct.
I’ve gotten pretty thoroughly into gunpla this year. I’ll probably have most of the models I’m interested in listed in my amazon wishlist.
I’m also trying to get more into different kinds of board/group games lately, but I’m a bit lost about what’s what. I bought Codenames and CAH a little while ago and it was a huge hit with my group of friends, so stuff like that would be great.
I used to work in a toy store a long time ago, so I have a childish love for silly nifty gadgets and gimmicky toys.
CHOONZ:
I really love music of all varieties, with a particular interest in jazz, blues, folk, classic rock and southern gothic. I’m always enthusiastic about discovering new stuff! Do you sing/play? Send me your stuff!
I also play bass guitar casually with friends. I've been meaning to learn the mandolin properly for a while now too.
SCRIBBLES AND PICTURES:
Despite not having done much reading in the past few years, I actually do enjoy reading. I’m trying to make the time and effort to get back into a regular reading habit. I do most of my reading on my kindle when I can, if only for convenience.
This also applies to comics! I love comics but I’m often a bit out of the loop in regards to what’s the biz lately. If you feel like recommending me any, I would welcome it happily! I'm primarily a Batman fan from my youth, but I'm definitely open to anything. I've been reading Batman Zero Year, Hawkeye and some of Waid's Daredevil lately.
THINGS TO STUFF IN MY FACE:
I. Freaking. Love. Chunky. KitKats.
I’m also open to trying any cool foodstuffs that may be unique to wherever you’re from, Satan. So feel free to send it my way! (As mentioned before, homemade stuff may have an issue getting to me.)
SUCH DEG:
I have a lovely black greyhound named Ori, so if you feel like sending her something then that’d be awesome.
I will be in Singapore from the 17th of November until the 11th of December, so my delivery address may not be checked as regularly during that time.
Steam ID - VeldrinD
also I went into some store two weeks ago, I can't remember which, and they already were fully christmas decorated. what is even happening
gift stuff:
i really dont have much in the way of material wants, so if your an art person, feel free to do art at me. if you need subject matter ideas send an emissary
* i like cooking, so if you have a recipe or a collection of recipes (or a cookbook) you want to share that would be cool
- especially a cookbook for asian/eastern food. japanese, thai. simpler is better. the kind of stuff you could make on a weekday
* some nice winter socks or gloves, and soft clothing like pajamas, I am size medium (male). i can never have too much of this stuff
* if you can legally buys/ship alcohol, I really like Gin (favorite brands are Beefeater, Bombay Sapphire, open to trying new things though. I dislike Tanqueray)
* a nice padded carrying case for a 13 inch ultrabook
* In the video game world, I have a lot of games already, but obviously not all of them. I think I own every console (unless they invented a new one yesterday). My favorite genres are fighting games, RPGs and strategy. The kind of RPGs I like are less like Witcher/Dragonage and more like Baldur's Gate and Diablo and Dark Souls. In particular I'm pretty light on 3DS titles. I basically only have Pokemon and RF4, so if you know a solid 3DS RPG, that would be sweet
some general categorical things that I like if you want to go outside of the box..
Formula 1 racing, Achewood, Street Fighter, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Tampa Bay Rays baseball
that's all I can think of for now, if you need more let someone let me know
we also talk about other random shit and clown upon each other
Suggestions ahoy!
How you doin? I know we talked last year but I ALSO know you're a busy guy and probably have to bring on some extra help from time to time, so thought I'd throw together another bit to make your work easier.
The short and sweet: I'm a 31 y/o queer sysadmin who likes playing games, solving puzzles, eating delicious food (typically that someone else made - I'm an okay cook with sufficient instruction but usually cooking instructions or recipes stress me out because they're not clear enough), reading when I have time, listening to music, and experimenting with my look. I've got an amazon wishlist in my signature. If you wanna do more personalized gifts instead, I am so down with that. One of my favorite gifts is a stained glass d20, so art commissions or crafty stuff or whatever...if you get joy out of sharing your skills I am all about experiencing a piece of that joy.
The recreational: I play a lot of games; some video games for sure, but a lot of board games. I'm a judge for Magic the Gathering, and play that with friends or sometimes out at local events. I have a ton of other board games also, which you can see a reasonably comprehensive list of here. There are a few new ones on my wishlist, but there's nothing I'm screaming to get ahold of - mostly what I'm looking to do with my collection is "upgrade" it in various ways, like replacing paper money with metal coins or high quality poker chips, and getting bits storage solutions that fit inside the game boxes to keep them more organized, like The Broken Token. Video game wise, I have a PC, and an Xbox One. I play WoW casually, and have enjoyed Blizzard's other offerings off and on - D3, Overwatch, etc. Generally enjoy action games like those/Borderlands/Halo, or thinky games like The Talos Principle.
The physical: If you wanna shop clothes for me, I wear a women's 16/1X/XXL, depending on what sort of garb you're looking at. Measurements tend to best line up at 44" chest, 47" hip. I love colors and geometric patterns in things - color block dresses, keyhole sweaters, colored tights, earrings, etc. I love shoes too - women's 12, men's 11, pitch should generally be under 3.5" (heel height minus platform height = pitch). I also do makeup, currently in love with basically everything that Colourpop makes but also fond of Kat Von D and Urban Decay. My Instagram should give you an idea of how I like to look.
The nutritional: I love interesting foods; Greek, Italian, and Thai are all super common foodstuffs for me because the flavors are so rich and layered. Sweets are great too, particularly dark chocolate+fruity combos. I drink some booze - mostly beer though (maybe avoid IPAs), but also some vodka or rum styled cocktails, particularly with ginger in em.
The media: Genre wise, I love science fiction - fantasy too, though perhaps less so. Mostly what I love is a good caper or intrigue driven story, or something with high aesthetic impact. For reading, some of my favorites include Saga, Mistborn, Atomic Robo, Discworld, and The Wicked & The Divine. For music, I'm kind of all over the map - we've listened to the Hamilton soundtrack pretty much nonstop for the last year whenever we're in the car (I can sing along with pretty much every song at this point), but otherwise I'm usually on whatever strikes my mood - some days it's Ghost BC, others it's a Nicki Minaj popfest. The bands I get super jazzed about seeing live are The Protomen, Weird Al, Ghost BC, or the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. TV/Movies, I trend toward action and science fiction for sure - 007, Stargate, Pacific Rim, MacGyver, and Inception are all on my shelf, but so is Monty Python's Flying Circus and Stranger Than Fiction, and I adore House of Cards and Luke Cage in equal parts.
I think this is enough info - probably too much, even - but I'd rather be too thorough than leave you hangin, you know? Hope it helps - you can also stalk me on Twitter if you need some better ideas of how I think day to day.
Happy hunting, and HAIL SATAN
PS- Tell Bray Wyatt to tone it down a bit, he creeps me the fuck out.
A list of things, should you be of the gifting persuasion
We're moving in 2 weeks but I know my new address so it should be no problem! I AM EXCITE.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
... I should be able to manage it.
oh man!
I almost never throw art in because it feels a bit self aggrandizing, unless I have time to create a piece specifically for them. ('hey I know you didn't ask for anything like this but HAVE SOME OF MY RANDOM SHIT!').
But it's certainly something I COULD do.
I'm pondering signing up but I dunno, shipping costs might be a right bastard.
no lie, I promised a friend this years ago and have yet to deliver.
Amazon usually helps with this
I prooooobably should sign up this year
I have only once sent a package to the US directly, the other times i just bought directly off US amazon. I have also gotten my gifts off German amazon, which has free shipping. I imagine there's online shops in most forumers countries, so that's always a way to cut down on shipping. You can't send something handmade/wrapped then, though.
Also I'm definitely in again this year, it's always great fun. Thanks (B)Rolo for doing the work!
That reminds me!
Did you ever hang your gift
:winky:
What's new, buddy? We never talk anymore! After things got awkward during the... er, ritual, anyway.
Um. Never mind, I guess!
Let's talk gifts.
Also, Alcohol Stuff. I want to try my hand at mixing drinks but I don't have any of the paraphernalia, so cocktail shakers and what have you would be pretty cool.
Art is always nice to see. I gotta put some stuff on my walls to break up this ridiculous baby-blue paint. If it's art you created that would be absolutely incredible.
Nerd things? I've got a PS4 and WiiU, and of course a respectable PC. I like action games and games with strong character customization. 4x Strategy is also weirdly appealing, I wouldn't say no to Civ 6. Computer is down right now so I'll add a link to steam shortly.
Favorite things: Tron, Godzilla, Dragon Age, Pacific Rim. I like Marvel Comics(Angela the best) and Role-Playing Games(cool indie stuff is great.)
Please bear in mind that I don't have a ton of storage space in my new apartment so anything that's bulky, like large board games, won't fit well.
Amazon wishlist included!
http://www.amazon.ca/registry/wishlist/PE69E617HNWJ
Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/rainfall/
I'm probably gonna sign up for this again but I should probably scale back a bit on what I spend on it.
Steam
That's a bit weird - I've used both US and UK amazon from Australia, with an Australian card, and never had problems.
To be fair this was like...oh 15 years ago so Amazon was still teething back then, I'm sure things have moved on.
Hi. Check out this list: https://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/1JI9WWSRW1YJI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_an_wl_o_VumgybXDYPNDX
There's my list. I'm big on collecting sportscards right now. Any sport.
Anything craft beer related.
I've recently been into any kind of odd socks.
I have PS4, XBOX One, Wiiu, and 3DS. I've been buying all of my games digital lately though.
Favorite sports teams, NY Giants, NY Yankees, NY Rangers, Seattle Supersonics.
Favorite color is orange
XXL for shirts.
I mean. Uh. Hi!
I am a thirty year old father of two. We have a cat named Korra and a Dog named Pixi. I DM for a tabletop roleplaying podcast and am a big fan of board games.
In clothes I wear a 2x or xlt for shirts, 38 pants, and size 13 shoes.
I have a PS4 and a gaming PC but play ps4 way more.
If you need to reach my wife or need info on stuff, do so via my sister in law. She's on these here forums as @N1tSt4lker . Tagging her so she knows you may be coming for infos.
Uhhhh what else... nsfw is fine, i like most foods, and enjoy regional things.
http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/1W7W13A38E6QH
I could never really find a place for it. Our apartment is small and it's a pretty big piece... Maybe in the new place!
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
I may be a deadline decision.
Gotta wrangle up an email.
But I really wanna.
Probably should have taken that into consideration
I'm in Sydney, Australia. Which is annoying for shipping as well as quarantine stuff. Sorry. If you are thinking of sending food (which I would love), you might have to make sure with customs. But since it's a worldly city, it probably won't take too long to send things.
Physically me
I'm a 24 year old dude. I'm around 6 foot 2 and around 220 pounds. So any clothing is normally about a xl. Waist size is about 36/38. I do generally go for slimmer, tighter fitting clothes. Lots of shirts (I think Americans call them button ups?). Also, it's gonna be hella warm in Australia around that time of the year, so that sort of thing is appreciated. I'm also a big fan of shoes, and am going to need to get a bunch of them soon. I'm a men's size 13. Since this has sort of turned into the clothes section, I'm generally a fan of lighter, brighter colours. I don't really own many 'nerd t-shirts', and I've never really liked them a whole lot. If it's a cool t-shirt design, with cool colours and drawings, then I'd probably dig it, but I wouldn't really go for just a bunch of references. I'm also sort of looking for a cool jacket that isn't leather, but I dunno. Here's pretty good post of the sorts of things that I wear.
Clothes are probably the most difficult thing, so maybe don't worry about it
Gaming
I'm quite into video games, to put it mildly. I've just got a pc, but on the plus side, you can see exactly what I've got in my my steam profile. (the steam wishlist should now be in order) Generally, I'm a big fan of shooting games, games that put a lot of emphasis on movement, cool singleplayer games. Not the biggest fan of turn-based games, or strategy games, but I might be willing to give them a go.
Recently gotten into racing games a bit.
Also, it's not on steam, but I do quite want to get Christine Love's new game, but I will just eventually get round to getting it myself probably.
Hobbies
Fallen of warhammer a little, although I'm sort of looking for a reason to get back in. I'm a big fan of their fantasy empire stuff, but at the same time, this stuff is expensive and I wouldn't expect it. I'm also looking for some good dnd minatures, since I've started down a pathfinder campaign, and sydney really lacks good stores selling a wide variety of them (gotta get to melbourne sometime soon). Not sure if I want a bunch of generic ones, but I'm tempted to get a female cavalier for my PC at some point.
I've also recently gotten into Gunpla, which I am loving. I'm a big fan of the ones that don't quite follow the Traditional Gundam Aesthetic, which mostly means I'm getting a lot of the Iron Blooded Orphans sets (although nothing will ever surpass my love for the Grimoire model). I might update this later to say which ones I've got, but you can probably find that in the gunpla thread if you feel like detectiving.
I also really, really love artworks. If you would like to make something, I would really, really appreciate it. Other people's creations are amazing. My brother is a ceramicist, and has filled my parents' house with all sorts of lovely bowls and plates and various dishes and vases.
I've started to build my own collection of board games. So far I've got Mysterium, Cosmic Encounter, Pandemic Legacy (which I still haven't opened), and Love Letter. If you want to get something along those lines, that could be good.
I'm also a big fan of odd gadgets and stuff.
Comics
I'm into comics in a pretty big way. I only really buy trades, but they are taking over a bigger and bigger section of my shelf. Comics series I've got currently (I'll put most recent trade I've got after the relevant ones): Superman Birthright, Top 10, Transformers Last Stand of the Wreckers (I've got all the More than Meets the Eye and Robots in disguise ones that were released as part of that pdf bundle a bit ago, Black Widow (noto run), Hawkeye, Ellis's Moon Knight, Ms Marvel (5), Bitch Planet (1), Chew (11), East of West (6), (probably one of my favourites), Injection (2) (holy shit I absolutely love this one), Kill Six Billion Demons, Lazarus (3), Paper Girls, Rat Queens (3), Saga (6), Sex Criminals (3), Trees (2) Velvet (1), The Wicked and the Divine (3), Transmetropolitan (all), plus I've also got the Rice Boy book, and the first book for the webcomic Derelict. I really love just about all of these. I'm generally quite into Image and Marvel book, but, if you've got something that you love, and would like to share it, I would most certainly be willing. I'm also a huge fan of webcomics.
They don't have to be recent, and I would love to get started on some new series, especially since Chew looks like it's coming to a close, and I should get something to replace it. If you feel like getting me the first few issues of a completed run that you love, that'd be great. I'm also interested in getting Faction and Aja's Iron Fist at some point, as well as Grayson, and possibly Midnighter. I've also heard some great things about the Mockingbird series.
Other books
I've started reading a bit more, although in fits and spurts. I mostly borrow a lot of books from a friend who buys too many books. Mostly scifi and fantasy books, and they tend to lean a little YAish. I've been going through the Sarah J Mass series, which has been a bit of fun, I've also quite enjoyed Illuminae. Was unfortunately disappointed by Everfair, and I would love to see those ideas in a much better book. I've heard some good things about the Three Body Problem, and I was a big fan of Revelation Space. Also been trying to borrow and read Ancilliary Justice for a few years now but my friend always has it lent out, so maybe it's time to my own one.
I'm also a fan of non-fiction, and my favourite books are King Leopold's Ghost, Dancing in the Glory of Monsters, and the Dictator's handbook. I also quite enjoyed Ron Chernow's Hamilton biography, as well as Lafayette in the Somewhat United States
Music
I'm hugely into Phoenix, the Protomen, Daft Punk, Fever Ray, Kavinsky, the Knife, Of Montreal, Zhu, Safia, and Peking Duk. If you know the radio station Triple J. That's generally the sort of music I like. Maybe leaning more towards indie pop. Interesting melodies and such. I have cooled on my obsession with Hamilton, and I've kinda got everything I want from it (barring actually seeing a production of it, but it's apparently eventually coming to australia so eh)
Food
I'm am super into cooking, and trying things from other places. I've got all the Ottolenghi books (at least up until NOPI, haven't checked if there are any new ones), and have recently began getting quite into japanese cooking. Got Ivan Ramen, and book by Kimiko Barber, which is pretty great. I'm interested in getting an entry level cookbook for Mexican cuisine.
But, I'm also willing to try a whole bunch of new things. Like with everything else, if you are passionate about it, that's probably good enough to make me passionate about it as well. (Like seriously, Khoo sent me the ramen cookbook, and it sent me down a huge ramen rabbit hole and basically introduced me to what is now one of my favourite foods.) I'm also pretty patient when it comes to cooking, and am willing to spend a lot of time if I think the result is worth it. I've spent about 2 full days of cooking, just to serve some ramen bowls to my family.
I'm interested in Southern US food as well, so if you know a lot about that and are passionate about that, then hell yes.
If you want to send me food things, be aware of customs, and what is probably a super long travel time, but at the same time, oh hell yes I would absolutely love that.
Steam // Secret Satan
Thanks for doing this Brolo, I look forward to it every year

Favor for those stalking sites looking for gifts, if you find a deal on a PS Vita Memory Card, can you hit me up? The prices are ridiculous and I'm hoping there is a sale hidden away sometime this holiday season.
It is not a good idea to buy me clothes, unless it's something already on my wishlist. I have a bunch of anxiety around my size and clothes and if you buy me something awesome that doesn't fit I'll just be really depressed.
My wife and I are about to move house in mid November so some new homeware stuff would be awesome! Think kitchen gadgets, knives, glassware, decoration, lighting etc. We also own a 2000 JeepTJ which I have a lot of fun working on and customizing. We often take it semi off road to my wife's family cabin where we enjoy camping and canoeing, so outdoors, adventure, water activities type stuff would also be cool.
Soon after moving I'm hoping to upgrade the home entertainment system, there are some speakers and hifi shit on my wishlist which would be especially appreciated if you're into that. I'm also always into earphones and headphones if you're a nerd about that kind of thing and wanna hook me up with something great.
I recently joined a community workshop where I'm planning a couple of woodworking projects which is really exciting. I like tools and good safety equipment.
Here's my Amazon wish list which I keep well curated (removing things I have bought or don't want anymore and adding new things), buy from there with impunity.
Thank you in advance!
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
