Except the Witch King just couldn't be killed by a man so instead he was killed by a woman.

I mean, there's a similarity buts it not even close to the same on the end. McDuff was a cesarean so he got around the rules. Eowyn was literally not a man.

the only noticeable difference is their hair. When they're right next to each other you'll notice tiny differences that could easily be disguised with makeup

But I read both Sprouse brothers don't want to do that for this show anyway

No their mouths and eyes especially look completely different to me

Which made episodes where Zack and Cody switched places pretty funny, because all the characters have to somehow miss it

I’ve always assumed they were fraternal but you, still look more or less alike because they’re brothers

They are like 95% identical, and the rest can be fixed with makeup.

    Also maximum awkward giggles

I'm kind of surprised this thread was only 5 pages back.

Anyway, while I'm guessing everyone is still watching, does anyone else have less enthusiasm for the show? Like, it's not bad, but it feels like something completely different now than season one. Instead of all the adults being trashy and the show being seemingly Pinnacle CW, this season (at this point) just feels like the Hiram Lodge Extravaganza with occasional Cheryl B-Plot.

Yeah it seems like it's waving around in the wind a bit. There's individual great moments but it's not quite hanging together. I've been wondering if
Archie's big betrayal of Jughead and co is going to turn out to be a bluff and just done to get him in under the radar, but that seems too obvious really?

I think the longer season hurt it. The Black Hood thing was meant to carry the whole season, but it wasn't well received(and sloppy), so they dropped it, now we're stuck with this Mafioso Lodge nonsense.

Yes, and even moreso, he created the Ents in response to MacBeth too. He heard the line “Macbeth shall never vanquished be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him" and he imagined a forest uprooting itself and marching to war and it was all magical and badass and awesome in his mind...but it was just the army cutting down branches to disguise themselves in the play, and in the performance he saw, that was represented by a coupla dudes with twigs stuck in their hats as the saddest camouflage ever.

Tolkien was so mad that when he made his own works, he made an entire fantasy race that could get trees to uproot themselves to march to battle. The whole thing with Isengard was just Tolkien getting back at Shakespeare and cheap acting troupes.

    There's an episode next week.

    This week.
I actually kind of liked it. The stuff with Hal/Black Hood was dragged out a bit too long, but I appreciate the tiny little bloodstain on his shoulder getting bigger as the scene with Betty and Alice went on. Cheryl being a better archer than a certain other CW show star was great too.

Looks like everything for the most part is wrapped up, though I guess there's enough there for a heck of a finale, with the looming gang war, what to do about Hiram, Jughead, and the second shooter that may have been the Black Hood.

This was a good penultimate episode. They solved most of the mysteries while opening up one last one.

I've been really back in on this show lately. I think the extended episode count made the missile just run way too long.

I thought it was terrible. The writer(s) hamfisted everything into an incredibly weak resolution and the cliffhanger has no weight whatsoever. It's gonna get resolved in season 3 in one episode.

Really shocked that the showrunner wrote that episode. I'd expect better from him.

I think that it would have been much better if
    A) the black hood "killer" hadn't been caught at the midseason break

    B) Hiram wasn't so obviously behind everything, there might be enough to be suspicious but not "Oh btw I'm totally a mob boss"

    C) his league of supervillains were less directly connected to him (see B) to make that first meeting way more impactful.

The one consistent thing this year is that Cheryl is the best and will continue to be so.

Yeah, this show definitely would have benefited from being another mid-season replacement instead of a full season.

It was never bad, but there was a lot more meandering than there needed to be.
