At least you have a core piece for a fire grid if you want to build a second grid
"Want" doesn't factor into it anymore. Once you get to a certain point in GBF at the higher-end stuff you HAVE to get a board for each element because of the damage reduction. Granted that point is way up there, but it's waiting.

You don't have to actually evade an attack; it just goes off every 5th time you roll/sidestep/whatever. The effect is mostly for weapon types where you roll a lot anyway, like greatsword, switch axe, and (I think?) LBG.
They have very strong non-element damage and great sharpness, but their sharpness doesn't last long, but the seregios weapons also have the special ability to get 5 hits worth of sharpness restored every 5th evade, and if you use them with the Razor Sharp armor skill sharpness goes down half as fast so it's like getting 10 hits of sharpness back for every 5 evades. Also at the highest g-rank upgrade levels they have a tiny amount (10 hits) of purple sharpness, the highest sharpness level that most other weapons require the Sharpness+1 armor skill to get, which is a pretty big deal.
Making the setting "the apocalypse, frozen in time" was an inspired design choice. The scenery and feeling of melancholy there was a real high point of the game.

But also they can't benefit from Sharpness+1 at all. Even more reason to run Razor Sharp.
I've yet to find an armor set that has razor sharp, but I haven't really messed with mixing armor bonuses either.
Right now I'm rolling with blue kut-ku armor, with enough decorations and talismans mixed up to give me Expert +2, Sharpener, and Poison Immunity.
I can modify it to give me expert +3, which is nice, but I have to sacrifice either sharpener or poison immunity for that and... I'm not ready to take that step just yet.

Hey, they're taking the timer off of summoner's aethertrail stacks in the expansion.
umm is that the thing where once you get 3 stacks of you can use trance? I forgot the exact mechanics but I remember a timer being extremely annoying. that and if you could use deathflare at any point in the trance rather than needing to wait until .1 seconds are left for maximum dps

Yeah. You still got to end trance with death flare, BUT going into trance makes the move that lets you put all your buffs on at once come off cool down. And that move makes your ruin spells more powerful for 15 seconds or so now.
Also after you trance twice you can just straight up summon Bahumat for like 20 seconds now.

It's a start but my only other fire SSR is Sturm so it'll be a while
