Wasn't expecting a JRPG to show up in the Humble Bundle. Or, well, anything mainstream.
Me neither, but im glad they did. I think I’d like to go back and play through Tales of Phantasia on the Super Famicom before diving into the newer Tales games. The only one I’ve tried was Vesperia, and I fell off of it for no real good reason.
Vesperia is one of the better entries in the series too.
So yeah. ShyChess is actually a really fun and challenging chess puzzle game. With minor fanservice. But the puzzles are good. You have 10 (?) girls trapped in a dungeon full of rooms laid out like chessboards with various chess pieces on them. The black pieces are hostile and will instagib you if you move into a threatened square, unless that threatened square is protected by a white piece. None of the chess pieces move (so far, anyway), so it's a matter of mapping out a safe route across the board to get through to the next room... without dying a gruesome death (pawns will stab you to death, rooks crush you flat, etc). Some boards will have bonuses on the map you can try to collect - coins that you can pay to a vendor to resurrect one of the fallen girls. I assume if all 10 die, game over. The boards start off super easy (with like two pawns on the board) and progress to brain-twister levels.
Anyway, if you want a bit of brain workout, consider throwing $2 at this one.
I'm pretty good at chess, and some of these boards are tough.
tl;dr: mild fanservice, good puzzles, can be played in short bursts, under $2. Pixie approved!
I have zero intention of ever playing that game, but I might buy it just because it's apparently being made by the game dev equivalent of an anarcho-commune, and that's A. Impressive and B. Fantastic.
Today I played some Yakuza 0, and after long break I returned to Renowned Explorers for one more run.
Even after 80 hours there are still things and events in this game that I did not see yet. That, or something was simply added after I previously stopped playing.
Creators also announced their new game, called Godhood. If it will be as charming as RE, then it will be my day one buy.

I think my hard drive is failing. Sometimes goes to a screen and says "no boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed."
Any other reason for that besides hard drive issue?
In my experience, it usually means that the hard drive is about to die. Could be in 6 months, could be in 6 hours. Make sure you've got stuff backed up!
Also this may be an okay time to push Stablebit again between this and my new HDD putting me to a high enough disk space to warrant using drivepool on my main PC now too. I've been using their stuff for years, and it's given me early warning on drives in my server dying twice before I lost any data.
This weekend, Steam is having a Board Game sale. Good ones, both ones that are exclusively digital and those that existed in real life first. Some notable examples:
Real Life: Scythe - The 2016 juggernaut returns and wants to make up for the shitty beta. Its now glorious. Games can be completed in the time it takes to set up the real thing.
Splendor - The introductory light euro. Great for families but polished and balanced for years of tournament grade quality.
Lords of Waterdeep - A DnD Worker Placement game, where you play as a quest giver hiring cube-shaped heroes to do your dirty work
Terra Mystica - This game makes me want to punch a wall, but if you like the heaviest of heavy euros....
You may want the 2nd, 3rd and 4th on your mobile device instead. That's how I play them.

Ok thanks guys. That's what I figured. I've got the files I want to save on a flash drive and on another flash drive I installed that windows media creation tool, which if I'm reading correctly, is what I need to reinstall windows 10 when I get a new hard drive.
When it dies for good, I'll swap it out. Any recommendations for a good one?

A new hard drive? Assuming you mean standard HDD and not an SSD, then...
Western Digital Black. Anything else would be uncivilized.
Just finished the brilliant HYPER LIGHT DRIFTER and gave the credits a standing ovation. What an excellent game, by nearly any metric you care you choose. The people at Heart Machine should be really proud of what they've made here. Bravo!!

As a double-check, I'd look into getting something that can read S.M.A.R.T. values and check them out, Wikipedia has a list of the ones you should care about.
