Edit: in un-bee-related news, I got my monster Hunter world code from Greenman gaming. Is there any word on whether there will be a preload before release on the 9th?
BlazBlu Cross Tag Battle was having a free weekend and I'd known this installement had characters from RWBY in it. I thought I might like it, and I did. Sorta. All it really reminded me is that I'm pretty mediocre at 2d fighting games and they don't hold my attention for long.
The game was fun enough and seemed like a good fighter, just not for me.

I will let you interpret that title how you want. Depending on which path of the "choose your own adventure" you go down, your interpretation will be correct.

I thought it was that, the trailer on the website didn't indicate that, must be the steam website proper.
Damn if I am not interested in that kind of story, but that title.....

It's...weird.
Went back and found my original reviews:
The Royal Trap is a VN where you serve as a attendant/spy/assassin for a prince trying to woo a Princess. It's filled with teenage drama and is just on the threshold of realizing just how silly that teenage drama is. Also, the name is a pun (think anime) and goes into "so absurd this is actually funny" territory with that. It goes some weird places. Music's pretty good, as these things go. There's definitely worse VNs out there. I'm probably going to go back and try to get every ending in this just to see how ridiculous it can get.
I can confirm the title of The Royal Trap definitely intends for the name to be a subtle hint, even if it's not the "usual" way. What a weird game.
It's not bad. It's also not good.
It's basically what you should expect going into a VN with a name like that.

As in, bought but have yet to get your code from GMG?
They generally release a day or so before. Just keep checking your account over there.

No I bought from GMG a couple weeks ago but got the code in my email today. I'm just wondering if we have heard that you can download the game before it releases on the 9th.
Mosquitoes are monsters, but I still feel slightly bad seeing them incinerated in glorious slow motion HD.
This is relevant in this threat because I've for the time being finished Hollow Knight, which is about bugs. I've gotten the "easy" ending (which, I gotta tell ya, wasn't easy at all) and I'm going to step away for awhile before I go back and try and work up to finishing the game properly. That said, Hollow Knight is a fantastic piece of very challenging Metroidvania.
I don't think F76 is enough to drive people to another publisher-exclusive launcher vs. just taking a pass. It ain't Elder Scrolls (and from the initial fan reaction, it may not be Fallout either).
Also the other subject above:
There's a wasp whose sting turns roaches into zombies, piggyback rides them into a burrow, lays eggs on them which then hatch and eat through after the wasp buries the entrance and leaves.
So remember that next time someone tells you evil doesn't exist in nature.

Theres a bee/spider hybrid in Fallout 76 with a hive growing out of its own body.
Is there anything more freaky than the idea of a spider that has wings?

They are going to use 76 as a test run for their platform, microtransactions, and almost certainly are going to try monetized mods again.
If those things are remotely successful, theres a high chance the next Elder Scrolls and regular Fallout games become Bethesda.net exclusives.

"We're doing this for the modding community!
...also we take 70%."
Exactly. Why share profits with makers. Or Valve, for that matter.

Bee-lieve it or not.
Gives me memories of SimAnt, although it's definitely looking quite different in terms of gameplay.

And here we go...
Let the nesty punning begin. Just don't wax poetic in the process. Or drone on and on...
Such is the case right now, and this is what I get... bee puns?
This stings.
What was I gonna do? Not make bee puns?
The last time I didn't make a bee pun, I broke out in hives.

Never thought I would feel bad for a hornet.
Also have Fallout 4 for $9
I know right? It reminded me of this video:

Oh man, don't. The videos of hornets murdering entire beehives that don't have the thermal defense adaptation are brutal. Spoilered for gruesome.

Not at launch, anyway.

There'll be a new xpac for ARK around the same time where you can build robots anyway, so I'll probably just play that.
