The Jungle Book had the same thing with limiting the facial expressions on its animal characters in order to make them seem... realistic, I guess. Combined with a cast of screen actors instead of voice actors it made every character seem really bored.

I'm loving that they're using more pokemon than first generation.
A video game movie that is not only grabbing mainstream attention but has taken great care to be respectful and inclusive of its' fanbase. Like it would be easy, and even reasonable to expect, to stick with just first gen, but they didn't. They GET it.
How good we have gotten with CGI animals gives me such "Do Androids Dream" vibes. These creatures could go extinct and a generation of kids would think they were all over the place due to movies.
Your Name's director and band who did the soundtrack? Spot on but I do worry it's trying to be too much like Your Name with the story beats.

I think this was posted a while back, all these movies blend together, but I'm starting to see billboards of this put up so I youtube'd it and it's so low effort. Sad!
This movie looks like if James Bond and Mission Impossible had a baby and then they nursed that baby only on brotein shakes, Red Bull, and cocaine, and then that baby grew up to be a volcano basejumper who basejumps into John Cena's arms and then they fuck and get married.
And I just watched the second trailer for this movie, and I believe the below continues to be true, but now John Cena is an ayahuasca dealer who only eats bullets and drinks gasoline and every day is motherfucking leg day, motherfucker.
Can't say it any better than that. This looks ridiculously awesome.

Well that was fun, although the ending being Moana vs. Black Panther is kinda weird.
I would lose my shit if Jonah Takalua was one of The Rock's family members, like just some side joke they never mention but you hear this guy scream out to Stringer Bell "fuck you, sir!"
I'm pretty unsure how The Boys will translate to the screen, but the new trailer suggests they're not shying away from the source material. I do love Garth Ennis' work, so I guess I'm hopeful they don't fuck it up.
Hobbs and Shaw looks incredibly dumb, but hey, Idris Elba as the villain!
