Dang it, I deliberately killed an invisible Sombra (saw her go stealth and read where she was going to be a second later), and my highlight cuts off right before it.
I was just in a MH game where the first thing I hear is "Anyone else having trouble picking a hero?" He and his buddy kept going back and forth wondering what was going on. Someone else eventually piped up to say what everyone else was thinking: "I don't know if I'm being trolled or not." I got my answer when I got matched with the same duo in the next game and I heard "Anyone else having trouble picking a hero?"
I really wish I'd been recording because I was laughing the whole time.
For pro overwatch fans: apparently all of Runaways, the beloved underdog Korean contenders team, has been signed to OWL. The co-owner/manager wasn't clear on if they were all signed to the same team, and there were rumors that I think like Vancouver was trying to just straight up buy out Runaways as their team? But they may have ended up signing with different teams. At any rate it's pretty much good news all around.
Also it would be dope if Vancouver just recruits Runaways as their team, since they're the closest thing to a local team for me and I would happily homer for those guys.

It sounds like OWL is going to be close to 50% Korean in season 2. Both Canadian teams seem to be going fully Korean, Florida keeps adding more Korean players (only Tviq and Apply are from elsewhere), and a couple of the Chinese teams seem to be going full or at least heavily Korean. It kind of bums me out because there's so much OWL level talent in the rest of the world that's being ignored.

Ignored for better talent.
Look, if the Korea was putting out the best basketball talent in the world then the NBA would be the same way.
Sure there are plenty of great players that go unnoticed due to it being way more difficult to scout prospects but the talent pool coming from South Korea is way deeper than any other region and that's going to be reflected in the upper echelons of the professional scene.
I don't know about better talent. Consider season 1. New York was dominant, yes, but they were the only Korean team that was. Seoul basically fell apart after the first stage and so did London until they managed to pull it together for the playoffs.

Talent and team performance are not the same though. Yeah London struggled some but Profit and Birdring are easily two of the best players in the league. Sayaplayer was arguably the top widow once he entered the league, but he can't elevate the rest of his team. Seoul's entire roster fell off of a cliff but they were the favorites to win it all at the beginning of the season. LH was the most dominant team ever leading up to OWL. The rest of the world has most definitely clsoed the gap between them and the Korean players but they still don't put out near the volume of great players.

NuTorb is fun in JR, haven't tried him in a regular match yet. Also, Sym's retool makes her far less of a hassle in JR.
i dont know the specific reason but on hollywood i noticed a ton of really poor quality lighting maps that bothered me and i would like to think that's why
For those who like this stuff, the grand final of the Beat Invitational is about to start. Tier 3 tournament running on the current patch.

There's more pro/semi-pro OW tonight, for folks who enjoy that
Beat Invitational is still going, a t2/t3 tourney and has had some interesting matches. Not enough Torb, but a good amount of Hammond. Also the twitch chat is like half OWL/contenders players and coaches etc, it's kind of hilarious.
And then there's also the California Cup, which already had some college-tier matches this afternoon and are going to have a show match between SF Shock and LA Valiant in about 30 10 minutes or so? Should be fun, I think they're planning on playing it seriously.

The theme of tonight's offering is "Near Death Experiences".

The Mercy escape was a super jump I think. Crouch when you use Guardian Angel and then jump at the end of it. Normally jumping at the end of GA boosts you past your target, but if you crouch before it will launch you up into the air. Very useful and something I always forget to actually learn.

I gotta learn to capture those myself

Still they could at least make the rifles and pistols for them as they do for the rest of the star wars and other sets

I do believe this is the same fight where he got a potg grav off to cap it off before they were forced to reposition.
