it's really disturbing seeing just how quickly that car went up in flames at relatively low speeds, I didn't realize just how dangerous that kind of collision could be for an EV
From what I hear they still have lower accident rates than human drivers, so it might just be a matter of there being enough of them that you can always find at least one that's had an accident today.

Oh I mean Teslas going in random directions happens under human control, too, and the explosions are mostly what they seem to do whenever they're in any kind of accident. They're just very poorly made vehicles.
There are other autonomous cars in use with far, far lower incident rates. I'm not opposed to autonomous cars at all but I fundamentally do not trust Tesla to do a good job.
