FoTD seems to be weak to my Azorious bounce-my-own-stuff deck with deputy of detention.
fun fact: If you don't say "Stop right there, Criminal Scum. No one breaks the law on my watch. I'm confiscating your stolen goods. Now pay your fine or it's off to jail." whenever you play Deputy of Detention, an imperial guard is entitled to stop you right there.
So if they didn't say it, they're getting stopped right there and sent to jail.
More aggro in this list than I would have expected.
Worth noting that Wizards filters these lists down to show a set of unique decklists from the full list of 5-0s.
Yeah, just to be clear they consider lists that are like 12-15 cards different than any other 5-0 list, which stretches to some very fringe piles. In Dominaria Amonkhet standard there were a lot of 5-0 lists that was the same pile of 3 mana ramp spell, hour of promise, big dumb wincons since subbing out the wincons and the 3 mana ramp was enough to change how the deck was classified.
wizards-published 5-0 lists are where you see jank like Monoblack Niv Mizzet, because being good enough to randomly shark one 5-0 is good enough to get printed

Exile a land and pacifism combined feels like an incredibly RW effect. On the other hand, "can't untap" and exiling a land on ETB does not feel like a UR effect, and can't be done in UW (no land interaction) or UR (no exiling). I think it's fine as-is.
I'd make it "tap enchanted creature. It does not untap during its controller's untap phase." instead
But then the flavor breaks if they have a way to untap it manually!
Imo the flavor of Magic cards is best when a strange combo exists. It was actually really fun thinking of why the Vampire Hexmage's of Zendikar might be unusually good at releasing Marit Lage*.
*Zedikar Vamps are part of the Eldrazi brood and might have subconsciously been pushed towards learning powerful disenchantment magic.
Is it unreasonable to think we could see more Adventures? Because I really want to see a card based on Odysseus. Like... maybe the adventure fetches a land and the creature has the text "this can't be cast from exile unless you control at least N lands".
The trick would be finding quests they haven't already referenced, I guess.

2 lucky clover and 4 milling merfolk put in work in this draft, but alas when it doesn't land you really end up scrambling to defend for long enough, still 5 and out isn't bad for a first draft.
Do people still think Reaper of Night is bad? I'll easily start 2 in any black deck at this point.
Too bad aggro in limited seems to be dumpstered for 4 straight sets.
Aggro isn't 100% dead in Eldraine. I've put up a couple Bo1 6-3s with white/X aggro. It isn't easy but you can catch people with their pants down before they set up a wall of Food or whatever. You should be fast enough to get to 23 before mill gets to 30. Silverflame Ritual helps.

I don't think it's ever 100% wrong in the last 4 formats. Heck, I'd even say Orzhov Aggro was a pretty ok place to be in Guilds when your rares/uncommons didn't yield bombs.
Not a ton of Eldraine reps, but haven't really had a reason to yet to go aggro in my pods, but have seen a few scary ones.
Bots undervaluing some stuff that has shifted way up the pick order isn't really helping the aggro cause. I've brickwalled a ton with the mill 0/4's I always seem to end up 4 of without trying too hard.
I'm normally a value player that favors Sultai colors anyway, but I'd like to have other options be a bit stronger to incentivize folks into actively trying for it, rather than falling into it or opening a sick mythic they don't want to walk away from. Part of the fun of Innistrad was that GW humans was a sick deck that could support 2 drafters at a table.
It turns out that curving The Royal Scions into a Questing Beast means you attack with a 6/4 vigilant haste trample first strike deathtoucher, which is really hard to block profitably! Or at all!

I have the shittiest luck drafting in Eldraine.
Between having dogshit rares offered to me, being alternatively mana screwed and mana flooded and the hunch that people i'm going against just had better choices, it's frustrating.

that deck looks sweet
I crushed fnm with gw adventures but it was also the only legitimate deck in a room of untuned jank so it probably doesnt mean a whole lot
The biggest problem I have with the deck is that you have absolutely no 2-drops, so you need to mull aggressively for a hand that either can drop a 4-drop on T3 or a PW on T2. It beats a lot of the field but feels like it loses pretty hard to both Gruul Stompy (better and more consistent creature quality and removal effects) and Esper Stax (punishes the lack of recursion and card advantage). It beats mono red and field pretty well though.

im pretty sure if you can stick a pw really at all youre in a good spot.

So far I've found an Ancient Tomb, Aluren, Reanimate, 2x Lotus Petals, Worship...
the tomb is by far the biggest pull
send that bad boy off to get graded
no, I was definitely thinking tomb
coulda sworn it was a much more expensive card prior to the reprint
for some reason my reptile brain always conflates the two
Still mad

I was thinking of doing a silver bordered version that set stats to 2/2 instead of pacifism-ing but forgot x.x
it's vastly more likely that we see Sagas to represent mythical adventures, on account of it being an enchantment subtype
Hey if we're wishing for enchantment subtypes to return can I put in a request for some more Shrines?

the format wound up being a lot more grindy than people initially though, so yeah reaper is now a lot stronger
