I know because of the crab people wanted fish swarms or other sea creatures for the idoneth
So that may be coming as well as their endless spells
They wouldn't have a lot of metal on them though and those don't match the current style for arming Leviadons and so forth. I'm not sure when Idoneth will be getting new stuff but it won't be for a long time.
Who knows really as the bonereapers desperately need archers
Finished Measles the Musician (including dancer)and my Autumn Nurglings.
I have no clue where the colour scheme came from:
I just noticed an unpainted patch on Measles's left leg.
Furthermore, painting dots is surprisingly difficult (I think you need to snip the tip of a paintbrush off, so that all bristles have the same length, because I was drawing more stripes than dots).
Gloomspite Gitz warband on the horizon for Underworlds!
I have no idea what the 4th warband is… Daughters of Khaine? (but they already have had 2 warbands, even 1 recently).
Underworlds season lasts 6 months.

The second symbol kinda looks like a dark elf thing, for sure. As a DoK player it's hard to imagine what else they could use for a unique warband, unless it's a totally new element, I guess there's no Khinerai or Blood Sisters in underworlds yet, but everything else is more or less covered. The obvious thing would be to guess it's Malerion related, but we all know he doesn't exist!

This is strange but I could swear GW came out with some new Chaos Chosen or Chaos Warrior sculpts recently, but I can’t seem to find them on the website.

The Chosen are not yet available at all, actually, they're a part of the big Slaves to Darkness release coming this December (at least the big box+book is December, it's possible the solo kits won't release till early next year.)
An individual Chaos Warrior box matching the ones from the start collecting will also be a part of the big new release. It all got leaked quite early, so it feels like they were announced forever ago, but they're not due for a bit.

The swamp guys in the last box had the nurgle keyword, I'd expect these ones to have tzeentch even if they're worshipping in a different guise, seems like they're moving away from tossing all the warcry cultists into S2D.
Strangely, the Chameleon Skinks are shown to have ten models but in this full image one of them is a repeat. That makes the Champion, Musician, three with Blowguns, and five with Shields and Bolas. In the above picture (facing off against the other warband) you can also see a full ten, but with an even split of the Blowguns/Shields and Bolas models. That's compared to the zoomed in images in the article, which only shows nine 'Skinks.
There was the weirdness with the last Kill Team reveal showing one too many Deathmarks as well.
(Hopefully this is a "regular kit" that they've decided to release via Warcry, and all ten can be built with either option.)
I don't play warcry because my brother is very anti chaos
I kind of want this but I saw someone selling catacombs and the boards for $200 so I might get that even though the rule book for that is no long in use

Warcry is definitely chaos-focused (it was originally created as a game where various minor chaos warbands competed for Archaon's favor in the desolated lands surrounding the Varanspire), but pretty much every faction in AOS has rules for Warcry, and it's pretty easy to come up with a narrative reason for any army to be goofing around in that area, so you can play through games or campaigns without ever getting chaos armies involved.
However, you can just as easily ditch the background and just use Warcry as a set of skirmish rules for very small scale AOS battles with any background narrative you please in any realm. A Stormcast strike team is hunting down a foul Necromancer and his minions and finally catches up to them? That battle could be a Warcry game. A band of Fyreslayers on a pilgrimage unknowingly decides to make camp in a small forest that just so happens to be a sacred Slyvaneth site, and the treefolk decide to attack the Dwarves for daring to defile their ground? Some Kharadrons travel down to a town to do some trading and manage to arrive in the middle of a Deepkin soul raid? A hunting party of Kruleboyz who has had no luck and now has to suffer the indignity of returning empty handed manages to stumble across a Cygor on their trek back to camp? You can come up with any reason you please for two small forces to be fighting, and use Warcry rules to play it out.
all the warcry rules and lists are up for free on GW's site so you can download them and do some elf on human on dwarf on skink action without any chaos involved at all!
Warcry's great fun. Nice and simple and quick to play. It's worth giving a go
Now I do wonder what Super Saiyan Radukar was about as well as the witch hunters
Beast mode Radukar can show up according to the article.

Radukar the Beast is also a part of the previous expansion, but it seems likely that Cursed City's had some severe development or production issues, just going off of Blackstone Fortress I doubt the original intent was for just two paper-only expansions reusing old Soulblight models.

They're very good, yeah, with a nice little disease spreading special rule to boot. I'm kinda hoping we see a Slaanesh keyworded warband at some point; a cheap screening cultist unit is something the faction doesn't really have (though, also what they don't have is a working book, so...)
Though, to be fair, some of the S2D warcry bands are also solid to good in AoS, Iron Golems, Untamed Beasts, Splintered Fang, etc. And, obviously, the Shadowstalkers are a decent enough unit in DoK.
I had been looking at the Start Collecting Sylvaneth box for Warcry warband purposes, but that seemed rather boring (Treelord, Branchwych, 16 Dryads), but this Vanguard Sylvaneth box looks way better (Treelord, Branchwych, 3 Kurnoth Hunters, 5 Tree/Spite Revenants) because of the variety of troops (but it’ll probably be more expensive than the Start Collecting box).
- Branchwych : 145 pts
- Kurnoth Hunter with Scythe : 185 pts
- Kurnoth Hunter with Bow : 195 pts
- Kurnoth Hunter with Sword : 170 pts
= 695 pts
- 4 Spite Revenants : 300 pts -> 995 pts
- 4 Tree Revenants : 260 pts -> 955 pts
so if you mix the Revenants up you get a warband between 955 and 995 points
...(but it’ll probably be more expensive than the Start Collecting box).
In Canada-dollars you'd be looking at a jump of 40% (from $115 to $160). But Dryads are actually "GW cheap" (16 models in a $60 box) so you're going from a savings of $62 to a savings of $87. Not bad. (Though I guess a touch smaller percentage wise.)
Really I had to fight on ebay to get the 3 squads of Kurnoth for my brother
I think he has 4 squads of Revenants 2 of the Gossamid 2 Lady of Vines 2 Drycha 2 treemen X dryads 1 Warsong Revenant I got Alarielle for hella cheap
I've passed the half way point of my Nurgle Daemon warband
As Narrative Play only allows for 1 Hero, no allies, max. 15 minis and a value less than or equal to 1000, this is mine:
- Leader : Poxbringer, Herald of Nurgle : 130 pts
- 10 Plague Bearers : 100 pts
- 2 Nurglings : 210 pts
- 1 Beast of Nurgle : 150 pts
Total : 990 pts
I have bought all the current aelven gods for cheap
Alarielle for 35 as I said Teclis for 50 and I spent the most for Morathi 90
Looking on GW they have more of the bundles for Aos but oddly seem to be phoning them in with the vanguard+armybook+print for 220-253.50. The Armies being DoK the Idoenth and the Fyreslayers which you get a Flamekeeper thrown in
I have yet to get either the DoK or Idoneth books because I was upset at the DoK was just some slight changes and a new mini so 3 years 3 books
They have up a preview of the Slaves of Darkness stats

It looks like she loses her whirl when she inspires as it now applies to her normal attack?

Held - German for Hero. His full name? Heldanarr Fall - Hero-a-Fool Fall! For a guy who makes a heroic stand but turns to the chaos gods for support.

I find it odd they brought that back

No minis again but basically you need a Wight King and a Necromancer, and a unit each of Grave Guard, Vargheists, and Dire Wolves.

I am tempted but it means another army to paint and play with and I have yet to build the mortal army of Slaanesh I got earlier in the year
The vanguard for the Sylvaneth is not quite what i expected it to be

Slightly less amazing ist that GW is already telling us that the limited edition StD book has a misprint and will get a day 1 errata.
