Love a book cover that hits that sweet nexus of "creepy" and "anodyne"
edit: honestly, while I understand why the cover artists would phone it in as much as the authors, I do appreciate it when some utter pap drivelled out in a 3-day Ambien bender gets the full painterly illustrative treatment, even if it's just a traceover from a 20 year old Fabio photo. "I know YOU slung this together with predictive text and a pornbot, Jo Ann, but SOME of us have standards."
well see everyone else has two dicks, but i have seen him in the righteous gemstones and he only has one
I saw a clip of this and I think it was a body double
I agree. That is absolutely a stunt dick.
I imagine Goggins has a bush he refuses to shave.

My memories of romance novels are kinda sweet I suppose?
My grandmother adored them and kinda veered into ones that would drop a monocle. Now my grandfather was a very buttoned up guy that was exceedingly awkward around the idea of intimacy in movies, books, and what not.
But that did not stop him from reading them aloud to his wife in her final days in the hospice. A face so beat red that the nurses made a mention of it to us.
What in this case does Unicorn refer to
Are a bunch of middle aged women really hoping for that perfect widower to come along
Based on my extensive research in the Harlequin section, widowers are less prized than Scotsmen or dukes, roughly on par with tycoons and cowboys, and decidedly better than Sheiks and Greeks.
Hmm. I've just done science, and it looks like the picture for widowers is even grimmer than I thought.
Of the 507 Harlequin Romances currently owned by my branch, 265 of them include some descriptor of the male lead.
As this shocking graph illustrates, your grandma's spank bank is significantly more agrarian than suspected. Cowboys and ranchers star in a combined 50 novels, nearly triple that of their next challenger, Some Amish Dude. After that, Sheikhs and Greeks hold a formidable, swarthy lead over billionaires and Italians (there were, interestingly, no titular millionaires.)
With four titles, the Widower barely keeps his head above the long tail of less sexy jobs, military ranks, and nationalities, rubbing shoulders with such loin-tingling romantic icons as Sicilian and Unnamed Special Forces Branch. Judging by this chart, Earls, Lords, and Princes are each twice as sexy as a Widower.
This was an unexpected result, but I'm afraid we can't argue with science.

Bonus science: 93 titles also involved babies or pregnancy.
Harlequin heroines (and that one Amish widower) are apparently having twins at over four times the natural rate, triplets at 20 times the natural rate, and quadruplets 250 times the natural rate.

You ARE in Oklahoma. That does help explain the Cowboy and Rancher demand.
I wonder what a New York City branch library romance section breakdown is.

This is the best post.

If you haven't watched the Good Place you should probably do that, especially if you love Cheers.
Other than that I've enjoyed Runaways and She-Ra, those are both good shows and there's not a ton of episodes of either, so you can get through them pretty quickly

I really need to watch PEN15. I see the commercials for it on Hulu constantly and Maya Erskine cracks me up everytime.

Excuse me @Shorty we have a rule here. If you order nachos here one person can't just eat all of the fully loaded ones.
That joke's so funny...did you steal it from Jim Davis, creator of Garfield? I think I may have a good lead on buying a house from him.
YOU'RE NOT PART OF THE TURBO TEAM!
Does it come with a sex dungeon?
Here's my romance/disaster novel pitch, it's just one word which is also the title:
Pregnado
Now if you'll reach below your seat you'll find I have thoughtfully provided a duffel bag, into which you may put all my money.
You'll have to give me your money to put in the bag first.
Then that's the real unicorn of the show.

Now that we're done watching all of Cheers and Frasier, we have the time to catch up on TV from the last 10 years
In the last month, we've caught up on and loved Letterkenny, GLOW S3, Lupin III, and PEN15
With only those reference points (and Cheers/Frasier), what should we be watching
EDIT: oh and doom patrol, dang, we've watched a lot of TV lately
Do you want to keep doing sitcoms or drift more towards drama and/or animation (as you mentioned GLOW and Lupin III)?

Maybe the new Tick? Did you already watch Tiger Mask W?
Hard Sun is another short show that's pretty great. Could also take a look at Cardinal and Red Road. Oh, and Blood and Water.
...I watch a lot of detective shows.
