yeah me neither but the general idea I think like you said is a one way messaging app "to keep us connected to head office" there is apparently some kind of points system (the website straight up says "gamification") but from what I gather its only used as a leaderboard with employees there is no actual reward system attached.
EDIT: They are using it to try and push rewards membership signups
