Valve's new official video for the Steam Deck has a very interesting game icon in it.

Update: Valve has removed the original video and re-uploaded a new one with a small difference
Man I forgot how irritating Humble Choice is to cancel.
Cancel membership.
Are you Sure? Yes.
Are you really sure? Yes.
What if we bribe you? Still cancel.
Are you really, really, really sure? Yes.
What if we bribe you again? Still cancel.
Are you really, really, really, really sure (highlight the stay subscribed option)? Fucking cancel already.
oh and dont forget swapping where the yes and no buttons are every 2 so if you're trying to mash through canceling you'll hit no at some point and have to do the whole thing again.
And putting the Stay Subscribed option in a big bold clickable button with large lettering whilst putting the cancel option in tiny ordinary letters at the bottom so it looks like generic disclaimer text that your eye glazes over.
Don't worry. You'll still receive emails every month, each with differing monthly price levels, to try to get you back.

Interesting, it's showing only Doom 2 as "Great on Deck", but the rest of the old ones are in the "All Games" section.
What's the difference, I wonder?

Doom 64 should work ok except that it requires manually invoking the keyboard for text entry. OG doom has some crashing issues that are fixed in Proton GE, which is probably why it's unsupported. It looks like Doom 3 just hasn't been evaluated yet.
TimeMelters is pretty unique, I need to spend more time with it but it's really promising.
Her Name Was Fire is just a good-ass twin stick vampire survivors.
A brutal, slightly absurd tactical survival RPG. Play a rabbit escaping a koala-run convict camp in a procedurally generated, post-human apocalyptic world. Battle emus and hire kangaroo mercenaries. Scavenge supplies, gather and trade materials, recruit followers and rebuild society.
That sounds like a game you'd have come up with, RoyceSraphim - and I mean that as a compliment!
I've been quite vocal in the fact that remixing remixing World War II and the war on terror ad nauseum is killing call duty and battlefield series. An anthro fps would not be any worse than vanguard or ghosts.

Steam needs more Metal Gear Solid. I only played like two minutes of the MGS2 demo that came with Zone of the Enders on PS2 and I wanna experience the madness.
...Or just build model kits of the nuclear railgun-wielding giant robots and their progeny.

It's criminal that MGS3 never came to PC (officially).

It came out on frikken 3DS (that's how I played it the first time) but never on PC.
If Konami wasn't such a shitshow they should've gone the Resident Evil remake route with MGS1-3 for modern systems.
I'm in the late game of W40k Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters I'm still enjoying it immensely, but missions are becoming longer and more grueling. Taking breaks is becoming more important.
I find it both innovative and hilarious that the overworld management a la XCOM is essentially the board game Pandemic. In other words, if one node of the map is overrun with Corruption, it will spread to adjacent nodes.
Apparently the game is "abanonded," but the only issue I see is that some classes are simply better than others. The game has correct answers in regards to classes, but I can live with that. Also, of the five bosses, only the first was a threat to me. The second and third I fought were sufficiently "scripted" that I ran them over.

Yeah and it was freakin amazing on the 3DS too, whouda thunk it.
I'm enjoying MGS5 on the deck, what I'm not enjoying though is the constant popping sound coming from the speakers every time a cutscene runs. Although when I started it was both like that AND they ran at about 2fps so.. progress I guess?
Decided to give XCOM Chimera Squad another go on my day off today, and I don't know if it's me or what, but I'm uninstalling before I get really tilted.
I think I had a bad mixture of bullshit miss percentages, lack of progress, and frustration with the timeline, but I think I'll go back to trying to beat Daemonhunters, or fire up Gears Tactics, because I'm giving up on XCOPS.
I'm a huge fan of OG X-COM, XCOM EW, and XCOM 2, but this ain't it.
Having some trouble searching through the threads on the forums, @taliosfalcon , I remembered your Steam Deck troubles and was wondering what all did fail on your devices? Just so I have a list of things to test on mine when it arrives. (The post I found says trackpad and haptics but I think this is near the end of things? Not sure...)

An annoying thing that’s come up is games are considered ‘abandoned’ if the studio stops updating it.
Back in the day that just meant it was finished. It may still have bugs and other issues but the studio no longer working on the game just means they’re finished with it.
The expectation that a studio keeps supporting a game for free (because DLC is a cash grab from a greedy company) is so weird, but one that several games have set due to the developers being fantastic (like Stardew Valley and No Mans Sky).
The only times I’ll accept a game is ‘abandoned’ is when it’s in Early Access and stops getting updated, or if it’s a GAAS and stops getting any kind of content.
Yeah, Daemonhunters seems pretty complete. Balance isn't exactly on a razor's edge, but they fixed the potential showstopper bug (one upgrade conflicted with a main story mission in a way that made it very difficult to proceed if you got that upgrade before that part of the story).
I would have liked to see a DLC with an EXALT-style third player, maybe an Ork tribe also growing in the sector that you have to manage separate from Nurgle, but I'm completely ok with a game not selling it to myself piecemeal after the fact.
I agree. Some games are just done. That's nowhere near the same as "abandoned".
Stardew Valley shouldn't set the standard because it's not the standard. It's a one-man indi game that ended up selling over 20 million copies. If I was making millions of dollars off doing a thing, I'd sure as hell keep doing it.
Most other games, especially those developed by commercial studies are going to have an end point where the game is "done". Done. Finished. Complete. That doesn't mean that every armchair developer that rages about balance on the Steam forums is satisfied. It just means the game is complete.

GOG only has MSX Metal Gear and MGS1.
MGS2 got pulled from all digital retailers on all platforms sometime this past year. Konami said over the summer that it would be back soon, but nothing has showed up yet.
I was fortunate enough to impulse buy the HD collection on Xbox a couple months before it was delisted.
