I will say I've seen plenty of keeper shithousery in my day, but this is the first time I've seen a keeper wait to pick up the ball until an offensive player comes near and then fall on it to time waste.

Seen loads of "fall down when I catch the ball" toward the end, but never that. And I've watched lots of Pickford versus Liverpool!

I foolishly.joined a fantasy league, but did not make the draft, so auto draft it is.

Ended up with the first pick and one Erling Haaland.

As a Liverpool fan, and more importantly a City hater because I'm a decent human, I am extremely distressed by this dilemma

Captaining Salah Vs United at Anfield in the 22/23 season was a definite low point for me.

OTOH, the haul was almost worth it.

A friend of mine was heavily into American Football fantasy back in the day. It was fun going to the bar and watching the game with him as he was always rooting for and against the most random stuff. Wanting a team to score on a defence he was playing against, but not with that guy! Fun times.

Honestly, looking forward to months of yelling at players from teams you've no real connection to to "FUCKING BURY IT, YOU DONKEY" and hoping that defenders with clean sheets get hooked no earlier or later than the 60 minute mark.

Still plan on watching Liverpool for the Liverpool, sometimes United as long as they're in disarray for the lulz, and maybe highlights of other matches that aren't 0-0

In addition to temu Vigo the Carpathian I have Grealish, which, unless they give points for diving, I don't need to see, so I'll be skipping citeh unless they're losing on the road to Ipswich or what have you

All that said, still stoked for premier league to be back!

Yeah, I'm in a league with about twenty other people, at about 50 a head, but anyone can pick anyone, no real restrictions bar the 100m budget and no more than three players from the same club.

I've never actually done a draft version of FPL

Yeah, I'm familiar with the 100m budget style, as it's the main focus of all the FPL articles.

I didn't even realize the draft thing was a, umm, thing until I was asked to join this one. Probably for us yanks used to American fantasy football.

Was just misreading that "first draft" was first attempt, and not your first draft of several draft leagues like a degenerate, I mean, uh, totally normal American fantasy football player.

we used to do a draft in work and the problem was invariably half of the people stopped caring immediately which means that if you’ve got an injury, you’re trying to replace it some some of the leftover dregs after the best 400 or so players from the league are locked out
