The problem with playing with a guy like jokic is that his teammates have no incentive to improve their game or work on their consistency cause he just outright wins so many games on his own and as the season drags on that becomes really apparent.
Like Jamal Murray absolutely has the ability to be that guy but it's clear that he hasn't really developed his game over the past two seasons
I'm a little more forgiving. Murry and Gordon and others have, at the very least, learned how to play with Jokic better over the years. I think they've also improved their respective games. But they are, at best, fringe All Stars on their own. Jokic has absolutely no meaningful help in the same way that Luka has Kyrie or LeBron has AD. He has guys that can compliment and take advantage of his game, but no one else who can take over a game when needed, or who can at least force the opposing team to make harder choices.
@Fiatil , what do you think of Joe finally getting the start over Giddey? Certainly Giddey had been an issue, do you like taking him out though?
I'm okay with it given the matchups and Giddey being back to shooting not too great.
Unfortunately, as I kind of suspected, it wasn't some magic bullet for victory. Giddey has some plays where it looks rough, but has managed to give us solid offense in spots too. He also gives us size for rebounding and is still an amazing passer, which I think gets overlooked a lot. I wasn't convinced our first quarter struggles were 100% his fault despite the +/-, and yeah didn't quite give us the win. A combination of Dallas doing a good job of shutting down the paint, JDub struggling to adapt as a result, and then just missing open looks that guys normally make once we start to get the offense clicking a bit.
Murray was dropping 50 pieces in playoff games not long ago. Not sure what happened to that guy.
If the Nuggets fail to survive and win the Championship, I wouldn't be shocked if Stan Kronke dialed up Danny Gilbert in Cleveland and ask for A Murray for Mitchell straight up trade.
Because ain't no way Denver is surviving the future Western conference, if they fail to and still keep an injured riddled Murray , who's getting to his Prime real soon.

His knee ligaments all exploded
He missed 1.5 seasons and the half he came back (last year) he was hurting and honestly only got his conditioning/health back around the playoffs and welp
I think Jokic needs Murray and Gordon as much as they need him….at least he needs a guy he can play 2-man with as effectively as Murray and a guy who has burst and a 10’ lob radius like Gordon
Right, I know he was hurt, but he dropped a 40 and had 7 games of 30+ last season. This seasons he has one game of 30+ (in roughly half as many games played), and one game of single digits (which he never had last season), and another of just 10 points.
Although, I'm sure that 6 of those games (thus far) going up against Jaden McDaniels, Nick-AW, and Ant Edwards makes a big difference too.

You did watch the Lakers series, right?
This is a bit like saying that Jordan Clarkson is a superstar because he "carried" a few games in the playoffs.
I hate to say it, but both Doc and Thib's (Boston's last title, was when they were coaching them.. as HC Assistant Coaches.) methodologies are at their end in this New Era of the NBA.
My script for a potential Knicks-Celtics series.
Game 1 - Celtics win handily.
Game 2 - Celtics go up early, decide they won, lose by 5
Game 3 - MSG and the energy from the last win inspires the Knicks, Boston looks lost, but manages to make it close in the end.
Game 4 - Boston overpowers an exhausted Knucks team to even the series. Tatum gives an interview about how he’s the real underdog and also the best player in the league.
Game 5 - Boston comes home and despite only so-so shooting, wins. In post game conferences, Brown indicates who he thinks he’ll get on D in the finals. Tatum complains that the fans weren’t very loud.
Game 6 - Knicks disrupt coronation, win by 12.
Game 7 - Celtics win after a tight first half, Boston fans are obnoxious.

The Knicks will get swept by the Celtics, so it is better if The Pacers pull another Reggie Miller comeback in MSG and rip the Knicks hearts out then.
Add a third if OKC pulls off the Upset at Cubanland.
I'm in favor of this happening.
So does TD Garden

RIP. Looks like a good screen to me. That's what happens when you don't look at where you're going.
The hardest screens are always the ones you don't see coming. (The same rule applies for strikes in combat sports!)
She's set long enough that you start to ask why no one called out the screen
