Happy, Hoping, Hating, Bitching: Get off my lawn!
Posts
Alas, no. Alliance, PvP, raid times starting 7pm Pacific.
goodbye, Hourglass of the Unraveller
Hate: Bombing daily when crowded
Do it as a group. For bonus points chant "Stay on target" over vent.
I was trying to, but I kept running into this problem:
(Last)
X
Draenai
Draenai
Draenai
Did not end well (Also everyone had already done it)
Actually that kinda makes it easier to ninja you some overlord action.

re: Bombing daily
Maybe I got lucky, but it only took me two runs to get it done. I did have some problem with it not recognizing when I killed the sorcerers (maybe somebody else popped them right when I did, but the other bomber wasn't appearing on my screen).
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
You punks better be here when I ding my first 60 and strut through that swirly portal thing. I expect high-fives and smily-face emotes and someone to explain to me how to avoid being eaten by the monsters on the other side.
We all know that if all else fails, the expansion pack will drag you all back and I'll be waiting ;-) By that time I predict that I'll be making "OMG this 'Magtheridon' fellow has been chasing me around Outland for three days straight and I'm running out of places to hide someone help me?!?" posts and I expect someone to respond
run towards the cuddly
show some love
High-five!
...maybe I should actually get back to playing so that I too may say that one day
Almost as satisfying at the the first griffin flight on your own griffin.
Hate? 24 Raptor ribs, 1 skill-up. Curse you, Cooking 373! I will not take up fishing!
Hate: My guild, which is full of people I know in real life, sucks at PvE. Hard. So hard, you wouldn't believe. My friend and I, who essentially transferred to help them start raiding after our last guild (tk/ssc) fell apart, only just recently convinced them to stop randoming for loot. Of course, that assumes we can get people to take pve gear over pvp bullshit. Also, no dps. Also, fuck.
Hope: We're pretty much ready to call it quits and go to a guild that doesn't suck at raiding. We have a good prospect, and hopefully we'll be able to raid for real again in the near future!
Go into a WSG, look at the teams and the score, and it's 1-0 allliance, they've got the flag, and going for the 2nd cap, and it's 9 horde against 10 alliance.
Great, fantastic, must have been a fun game for me to take someone's place.
So, 2-0 before I get out of the base, run straight to the flag, pick it up and start trying to get it back. Don't get any support and die a few times. Alliance are farming in the middle and just relying on the same druid to cap a 3rd time.
After a while, I start to notice on the the health and mana bars, one person's health and mana does not seem to move. It's a priest, and he's just riding around on his horse to the right of the gy. Ask if he's going to do anything, to which I get the reply "nobody else is doing anything, so why should I?"
Yes, people are farming in the middle, but they serve more point then doing nothing. Look at his score and actually see he's got 11k healing done, and that's it. So he must have made all of one attempt at the start to get the flag, and decided that because alliance put up a fight, he wouldn't try; after all, the other players in the bg should play better, so this priest has a nice easy time.
Game ends, 3:2 with a horde win. Even when the score was even, he made no effort to help but still got the honor and marks. Better yet, despite his lack of contribution to the game, he still gets all the honor, and the 3 marks.
Of course I could report the waster, but amazingly I'll get told by GM's to not report this kind of thing, because there's an anti leecher system in place, and that despite the obvious short comings of it and the fact it doesn't work, I should use it all the same.
GM:How can I help?
Me: Yeah there was a guy in our WSG game, details, time and wsg number I've given you details of, doing nothing
GM: Yes you should not report this, but use the debuff system
Me: Well yes I would, but he just kept on running into alliance and getting himself killed
GM: Yes we are aware that is a current problem, but please try to use it all the same
Me: But I've just told you it's pointless! He'll just remove the mark
GM: Thank you for your feedback.
Fuck off on the feedback line, I'm a shaman on the EU forums, I know all about feedback. Mountains being quite tall is less obvious than the ways to get around the current debuff system.
Tl:dr, horde player does nothing for an entire game, but gets full rewards all the same; I bitch at the crap debuff system.
That's pretty infuriating. We wiped at least 8 times trying to beat that fight with Prot Warrior, Enh Shaman, Holy Priest, Fire Mage, and Ret Paladin. We are not incompetent; I'm prepared to say we are some of the best players on the server. It was not fucking possible with the setup they gave us, which, for reference, was Rogue, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Warlock. Then our Warrior switched to his Frost Mage and we destroyed the encounter with none of us dropping below 80% HP. I understand that most groups have two humanoid CCers, but the fight should not be impossible with just one.
happier: 5/5 8/9 BT guild has no prot paladin. applied. we'll see.
Regular MT is not fun as a paladin healer.
Prot can't kill shit and gets taken OOM.
Ret can kill, but gets taken OOM.
Holy can't kill much but tends to be able to keep mana up more.
Only kill fiends (avoid devourers). Bitter Withdrawal can be cleansed and they don't mana tap nearly as much as the devourers do. I killed just fiends last night and ended every fight at nearly full mana/health.
Neither of the phase 2 quests are mana intensive, unless you happen to be fighting on a spot where demons have a fast respawn.
EDIT: Prot has a silly advantage with the sunfury battle plans quest. The blood elf mobs that are outside the manaforge near area 52 (geologists I think), are packed together and almost all melee (some of them will do a throw rock ranged attack, but they'll rush into melee range afterwards). Easy AOE grinding.
Hilarity: People who play on PvP servers and bitch about getting ganked.
Ugh. Must needs get RAM.
I'm like the guy who showed up way late to the party - and everyone's already all hung-over and cranky, and I'm just having my first beer and yelling "Woooo!!" a lot. And I need everyone else to tell me how to have a rockin' good time. Telling me to roll a prot pally was like that first good round of shots, and now I'm like that only guy who's still drunk and having fun while everyone else is passed out in the yard.
To continue this analogy, the expansion pack will be like the guy who threw the party calling in some strippers and a fresh keg and then everyone will come back. It'll be awesome!
Happiness: Me (survival) tying the other hunter (BM) in damage, even though he's got twice the epics, with both of us over 1M damage higher than 3rd place.
