Anytime in SH1 when you were out in the streets in the Otherworld
The streets made out of steel, the windmills
God it was terrifying
right after you fight the worm, and you're trying to make your way back to the hospital
and there's no guard rails and big chunks missing out of the steel walkways and the ptyerodactyl monsters are larger somehow and oh god did that ape-thing make a human sound what the fuck is going on

I'm pretty sure it was someone from Bemanistyle who submitted the poster that won the contest(the one with the mist, and 'Welcome To Silent Hill - we've been expecting you.').
I was flipping through the guide for this at work today and I noticed in the art section that the cop character seems to have been modeled after Forest Whitaker
I picked up the PS2 port of Origins a while ago, and have been playing the shit out of it unlocking all of the different endings and accolades. I only have a few more to unlock, but of the ones I have gotten, the Butcher accolade is my favorite so far, with Travis
realising that he just went through the town murdering innocent people for the last four and a half hours. Also, the sewn skinsuit you get is pretty amusing
The Butcher himself was a lame PH ripoff, and fighting him pretty much turned into "run to a corner and shoot, run to a corner and shoot" while he slowly tromps around the table.
Also Jesus Christ, I'm used to playing through half of a Silent Hill game with nothing better than a wooden plank or a steel pipe to defend myself from the monsters running around, and now I'm getting Shotguns and AK-47s and Magnums? I liked it all in all, although it was considerably more gung-ho action then what I would consider a traditional Silent Hill game.
THe only ones I haven't played are 3 and 4, but tracking down any Silent Hill game after the movie (and now that Homecoming is nearly released) has become ridiculously hard in my area. I haven't even seen either a PS2 or an Xbox copy in quite a while.
A side note on Silent Hill 2, the original SH2 came out on the PS2, and then was later re-released as Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, which had all of the extras from the Xbox version, so if you're trying to track down a copy and you only have a PS2, look for that one.
Some things bothered me about it that I didn't know before.
it seems that it does not take place in silent hill again which i don't know if that is just general knowledge at this point
there also looks to be a ton of npcs which seems to facilitate the matter of the cultists
pyramid head is a popular legend in the town?
The first half of it took place in Shepherd's Glen, and the second half went back to Silent Hill. I swore I read an interview like that. But now it's not gonna be in SH at all?
That may be right, I didn't glance over the second half of the guide at all for fear of spoilers. I just didn't see any mention of it in the stuff I read. So I guess then it would be similar to SH3.

I'm having a hard time finding a picture of this cop. I know that Team Silent always had real world inspiration for the characters, I just thought this one was particularly funny.

I know the cop you're talking about, and I thought the same thing the instant I saw him. He's on the ad in the first page of this month's OPM (or PTOM I guess they're called now) magazine.

Girlfriend is a huge silent hill fan. She's actually played and beaten them all, I've never played any of them. But since we don't have a 360 or ps3, we are gonna play silent hill 4.
Posts
Homecoming's soundtrack will have a North American release and there'll be songs with Mary Elizabeth McGlynn
Wooo!
Seconded, I'm always down for Silent Hill music.
Nice interview. If Yamaoka has faith in the project, that's a good start.
Also, check out some of the music he's done for Beatmania, like Space Fight, Lion Suki, and Rislim.
Completely different from the tracks he composed for SH, but still excellent.
Space Fight
Hint: It's the only scary one.
Red hallway of death.
The streets made out of steel, the windmills
God it was terrifying
but FUCK it looks so like they are doing that.

The Hospital Elevator in SH1 by a mile.
Also Pyramid Head is going by another name here?
Every Silent Hill game uses the movie logo, which is practically the trend for games that get popular movie adaptations.
Haha oh god really
Really
Though now that we know
And usually the word 'adaptation' is used loosely in other video game movies

I'm still buying it too, but
Fry's usually has a ton of PC copies of 2 and 3 for $10 or so, if you wanna try that
The audio kept getting off-sync on the PC version of SH2 for me, but I'm not sure if I can attribute that to my crappy laptop or not
That's what I was thinking
I guess we'll just... have to see

Has anyone picked it up yet?
I want to pick this up. and about 6 other games
Maybe not in Canada because Konami is rather retarded about shipping games up here on time
edit: if it only shipped today i'll feel better about being late to the party
