What I've found is that a lot of charities and institutions dedicated to such fantastic causes have their budgets obliterated very early per annum, and develop inordinately long waiting lists, and have to construct ridiculous schema for the ordering of those who stand to benefit, which alienate all but the most extreme and dire cases.
I mean, the Strange and Embarrassing Moments thread used to cower before me. I was the one that the OPs were named for!! But it was too easy. Also too denigrating. Also too denigrating for other people who are adherents to my lifestyles.
