1. You're right, I have no idea how to embed this either, there's probably a copy on youtube, though.
2. French college kids have such better overall style than American kids. Sure a lot of American college kids dress just about the same as those in this video, but not all.

So I just had a whole 20-text back and forth conversation with this random person that texted me that they love me.
It happens.
That "Thriller" was awesome, but it had to have been for a contest or something. I feel just too cynical to believe people just do cool things like that for nothing but, say, Saturday.
DSC, watch a few episodes (or the entire series, it's great) of Carrier before deciding anything.
I couldn't do what they do.
I'd go crazy.
My dad was a Chief worked on ship engines for 25 years so I'm used to the life. Plus a navy IT job can't be that different. I'll check out that show when I'm at home though.
I never said it was a bad thing. I was adding to Quid's refutation of Shadow's implication that Quid worked in some capacity for the Navy on ships, or a carrier or something.

It's been alright. I mean, I fucked up bad when joining, fell asleep during my language test, and since I needed to join ASAP so I wouldn't be living in my truck, got a shit desk job that was mind numbingly dull. Then I volunteered for a deployment that after the awesome kick ass training turned out to be exhaustively mind numbingly dull the occasionally involved lots of fire and poop.
But it sure as fuck beat anything I was doing before. I have savings, I have an IRA, benefits, and when I do get out I'll have a good leg up on a lot of people. Compared to a good chunk of my friends that went through college I'm doing a lot better and have no debt to show for it. So yeah, I'm glad I did it overall. But I can see why someone wouldn't. If you really want to I'd say go for it. Worst case scenario is you come out of it four or five years later a bit richer and much more certain that the military's not for you.
I have to go stay at my stepfather's house for the weekend to take care of his Yorkie. I'm rather excited. I haven't had a fuzzy since my sister took her elderly dog back to Arizona.

See that's what I figured. I wouldn't sign up unless I could get a position I wanted during the MOS. Then I get financially stable for a few years, and have a nice resume booster when I get out.

Are you fucking insane?
My body's telling me no,
but my taste buds are telling me yeees
That's what actually, involuntarily played through my mind today as I deliberated between having Raisin Bran and Frosted Flakes.
Also, Quid... there's no link in your sig.
How devoid of enjoyment were your childhoods?

I wrote out my post, watched more of the video, then hit "post"
So yeah...
Ask them what they're wearing.
No, wait.
Establish that they are over the age of consent, then ask them what they're wearing.

So I'm just some random guy to you?!?!?! Asshole

took out her barrettes and her hair spilled out like rootbeer
Being a desk jockey in the armed forces is one of the best jobs you can get. Great security, great benefits, decently approaching a meritocracy.
Yeah, sure, catering to the Navy nightlife...

To be fair at least he's an important desk-jockey right now. Well... he will be.
Edit: And he'll answer in a few minutes. He's in the shower.
Duh.
Well I'm not going for ships myself :P
What evening? It's 3 minutes 'til 1 in the afternoon!
[edit]: 2 minutes.
Yes, yes, timezones, etc., etc. How is everyone?
Coldred, has Obama ascended yet?
What with you living on a whole different part of the world and whatnot...
Anyhow, we're fine. Lackadaisically discussing the finer points of Quid's life as a pencil-pusher.
Struggling to communicate that the BNP is not as simple an entity as a political party.
Did you pick up the phone booth?
