Well. I apparently got the G-Bits. That whole bit mentioned on the site was probably just to get the whole package, Tifa included. Sweet!
Mission 23 spoilers:
FUCK YEAH MACROSS UNITS ARE BACK
Delicious. I gave Amuro the V2 Gundam. Quattro's in the GP03 (And kicks ass in it), Camille now uses the Nu Gundam, Judau has the Z Gundam since ZZ sucks without the FA parts (And that's only obtainable in easy mode), and Puru now has Gundam ZZ.
Onec I unearth the Hi-Nu Gundam, I'm gonna have to shuffle things around some more. Gonna give V2 back to Usso when that happens. I gave ZZ to Puru just in case she needs to survive in some mission she's forced out.
Alteisen Riese is awesome because it's quite literally a pile of weaponry thrown on a robot and hoping it can stand up afterwords.
Heh, that was Alteisen. Riese is "okay, let's keep throwing more on there past the point where it can stand, then add the thingy that makes normal mechs fly so that it can stay upright".
Edit: Oh, and according to youtube, Ryusei will eventually getting a good mech, thank whatever.
He eventually gets the R-1 back, and gets a MAP version of the Boosted Rifle.

Visually, the Riese doesn't do much for me. It's a slightly bigger Alt with orange bits on it. Just doesn't feel very inspired to me.

The chassis is slightly bigger, the armaments are all at least twice as big as the old ones. Plus that tesla-drive arranged such that it's clearly meant to propel the mech forward instead of hold it up in the air. It's also a better shade of red. I mean this is like claiming Weissritter Rein is uninspired because it's just Weiss with silly bat wings and pink jewelry. It's not supposed to be a whole new mech, just a substantial upgrade.

It's funny because the Revolving Stake is actually a downgraded Revolving Bunker.

I know tech-wise it's a better mech, I'm just saying that visually it doesn't do much for me, is all.

Wow. Enil doesn't last long against the upgraded Gundam X.

Currently playing SRW A portable. One of the best "Grunt" units has to be Char's Gelgoog. With its weapons fully upgraded, its beam glaive and rifle are both rated at 6000 power. They're fairly accurate and in the right hands (Such as Quattro), the thing's hard to hit and crits really nice. It's really awesome for taking out later mid-sized grunts. They pack a ton of health.
Best thing is, it's relatively cheap to upgrade its weapons. It only cost me like 41k for the final bit.

15292. Not bad. Char's Gelgoog can sometimes almost hit that hard on a crit. I got GP03 at last, pulled it away from Kou's worthless hands and gave it to Amuro. Never been better.
Of course, once I get Nu Gundam, I'm gonna have it change hands again. I really don't have any other high-leveled UC pilots... Kou and Shirou are my 2nd stringers. Aina's stats suck. I guess I could give Four a chance to do something.
I should be getting Sazabi too. Quattro has enough kills for it. Same with Falguen MAFFU. Once I get Falguen, I'm gonna see how Maio and Kain's team move does in this game compared to MX Portable. If it's still borken and powerful, I'm ditching the other two Dragonars.
I think I've screwed up all of them except the Jenice Kai already. And I never managed to get any hidden Lamia mechs, either.
I messed up on those secrets on two playthroughs.
The third playthrough of OG2 (which is almost done) I made sure to get Lamia's kill count high enough. I meticulously aimed for each requirement to get the Ashsaber.

I got Vaisaga. Somehow.
You got the better deal I think.
Then again, Ashsaber is nice just because it actually makes Ring useful.

Cheap Enable + Highest Love Bonus with Irm, who rocks = always useful.
I was going to give Ashsaber to Viletta.
The problem with Vaisaga is that only Lamia can use it, and Lamia is, in my opinion, better off in the Angelg. If I could give the Vaisaga to, say, Katina or Kai, it would be awesome.

Yeah, I usually made my Lamia all melee, and just accepted the fact that she'd be meh in Angelg and then suddenly become horrendously overpowered with the Vaisaga.
As for Ring, her only problem is her godawful morale gains make any weapon with a requirement of higher than 110 morale a total lost cause. (Which, sadly, means she's terrible in her Huckebein)

During that one chapter where ypu start off with Lamia and Arado, and end up facing Axel before everyone else shows up, you need to have Lamia fight Axel twice and ONLY TWICE! Did you do this?
Hey, I tried downloading the patch on their site, but strangely it keeps stopping on me after a certain time, preventing me from downloading it in full. Has this happened to any of you?

I always got the impression that it dragged Kyosuke around and he just gritted his teeth during the acceleration.
Looking back, on OG1 and 2, I do like how Kyosuke goes from thinking the Alt is a stupid design to being attached to his mech.

The best thing about A Portable:
Musashi USED THE STONER SUNSHINE AS A SHINE SPARK.

It's my favorite Gundam.
Pretty sure Impact had those too, primary reason why Shiro was so damn good. (aside from having a pretty damn good seishin list)
FYI: Amuro completely rocks in the GP03.
