Mystery Science Theater 3000 in case you lived under a cave for the last 20 years.
Official fan club site

Rifftrax - this is Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett
They make cheap ($3-4) audio tracks that you download and sync to a DVD that you supply. Lots of fun with recent and past movies (Transformers, Twilight, Star Wars, Red Dawn, etc). They also produce some short audio+video downloads (DIVX) for a $1, these are more old shorts and B movies, etc. They also do live (or live on tape) shows in actual theaters - this is what the original thread was about, below...

The Film Crew - this was basically the Rifftrax guys' earlier attempt, no longer really in existence... These were full DVD movies, done up in MST style, usually old public domain/B movies etc. They are still available for sale - Their catalog on Shout Factory. (Or Amazon, etc) about $15-16 each.

Cinematic Titanic - This is the other half of the MST crew, doing a similar thing to "The Film Crew", full length DVDs with riffing. Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, "TV's" Frank Conniff, and Mary Jo Pehl. Again about $15 ea for the DVD, or $10 for a download.
They are also apparently doing live shows, currently on tour in LA, St. Louis, and Philly. Endorsed by .. Peter Fonda?

--
That was fun, I hope they do more live shows.
--
UPDATE!

There will be an encore showing of this on October 8th. HUZZAH!

This is TONIGHT. 8/20/2009 LIVE in real theaters all over the country!

RiffTrax LIVE <-- click your mouse pointer device here (Watch out for snakes).

RiffTrax is 3 of the stars from the Peabody Award-Winning Comedy Central show Mystery Science Theater 3000 - Mike Nelson (Michael J. Nelson), Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo) and Bill Corbett (the late model Crow T. Robot).

It's live in 3 time zones (8pm ET, 7 CT, 6 MT) and tape delayed on the left coast (8pm PT).

[strike]It's also live streaming online the world wide internet tubes, click on the hyper-text "link" to download the quicktime realplayer plugin module for your world wide web browser application program (ie Netscape).[/strike] edit: or maybe not

But you should go see it live in person, because you'll use any excuse to dust off your Torgo costume.

What do I look like, the President of the Internet? Um I didn't try it, let me check it.

Shit I don't know, looks like it's just a gizmohicky for sharing quotes on your facey spaces and whatnot.

The guy who told me about it said it would be on the intermaweb, I assumed that's what that hodad was for, sorry I'll go slit his throat.

Any rate, I assume some sort of illicit .torrent will show up on the tubertron within minutes of its conclusion.

Well so, if I got in my car RIGHT NOW and drove literally as fast as I fucking can, I could just make it.

I don't know.. I think I'm already too drunk for that kind of driving. Maybe next year.
