Mystery Science Theater 3000 in case you lived under a cave for the last 20 years.
Official fan club siteRifftrax - this is Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett
They make cheap ($3-4) audio tracks that you download and sync to a DVD that you supply. Lots of fun with recent and past movies (Transformers, Twilight, Star Wars, Red Dawn, etc). They also produce some short audio+video downloads (DIVX) for a $1, these are more old shorts and B movies, etc. They also do live (or live on tape) shows in actual theaters - this is what the original thread was about, below...
The Film Crew - this was basically the Rifftrax guys' earlier attempt, no longer really in existence... These were full DVD movies, done up in MST style, usually old public domain/B movies etc. They are still available for sale -
Their catalog on Shout Factory. (Or Amazon, etc) about $15-16 each.
Cinematic Titanic - This is the
other half of the MST crew, doing a similar thing to "The Film Crew", full length DVDs with riffing. Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, "TV's" Frank Conniff, and Mary Jo Pehl. Again about $15 ea for the DVD, or $10 for a download.
They are also apparently doing live shows,
currently on tour in LA, St. Louis, and Philly. Endorsed by .. Peter Fonda?

That was fun, I hope they do more live shows.

The guy who told me about it said it would be on the intermaweb, I assumed that's what that hodad was for, sorry I'll go slit his throat.
Any rate, I assume some sort of illicit .torrent will show up on the tubertron within minutes of its conclusion.

(unless one of you is going to Framingham, MA for this thing.
Remember I resent you!
But why do it on a thursday? That is so weird.
because weekends are the nights where people go see actual movies
Believe in magic, OR I'LL KILL YOU!
Also fuck all of you for living in the right country for this. Fuck all of you so hard in the way that isn't fun at all.
"Sandra has a good solid anti-murderer vibe. My skin felt very secure and sufficiently attached to my body when I met her. Also my organs." HAIL SATAN
Haaaaate you, but I hate my independent study paper that's keeping me from going more.
I don't know.. I think I'm already too drunk for that kind of driving. Maybe next year.
Seems like the RiffTrax site is wanged though...
What an awful film.
(No, I've never seen Plan 9 before now, thank god)
I liked the prologue better. The Jonathan Coulton performances were nice.

it was cool hearing the old voices again
