And I believe that was actually YOUR suggestion... that we kill off people even if we think they are innocent if they potentially can do a lot of damage against us. On retrospect, was that a good idea, or should we have been focusing on finding the aliens?
I'm not sure. I was feeling very vindictive at the time, and I can't honestly say it was a level headed decision.
In retrospect, I only think that should be brought up as supportive evidence for someone already under bad-guy suspicion. Coming up with bad ideas shouldn't be damnable, not even coming up with repeated bad ideas - an idea is always going to sound bad to someone. If it's done in a manner that supports claims that the player in question is a "bad guy"... a suspicious person repeatedly putting forth ideas that conspicuously hurt the Innocents... maybe then.
I think the most important lesson I'll take away from this game is to calm the fuck down. I found it way too easy to blow up at somebody who clearly didn't deserve it.
Hehe, did you get sent to phalla anger management or something?
But honestly, I'm not sure why it took us so long to realize that instead of posting it to the thread we should have just PM'd it to someone we trusted. MTV was already getting bandwagoned so I decided to vote for him even though I was about 95% sure he was an innocent.
I wasn't even really sure I wanted all your cities to be PMed to me. My inbox was already suffering at that point, so I didn't suggest it myself. When someone else suggested it (was it you, Grundlterror?) I knew it was the smartest play, so I went along with it.

It was a handful things. My "logical conclusions" included a Phalla faux pas ("drop out of the game"), which pissed off a number of people. I heard a story on NPR about people being griefed off the internet (some female blogger, specifically). ...most importantly (from an arrogant perspective), I think my point got lost and people started paying less attention to me. "Those who cannot hear an angry shout may strain to hear a whisper."

Preemption. mtvcdm had already enacted his plan before we had a chance to dissect it.
And I'm glad he did. It worked out fairly well for us.
Man I was such a fool when I didn't rail against you, FWD, more vocally after I first voiced my suspicions. Your reply didn't do anything to alleviate my suspicions: I thought you played in an uncharacteristically controlled manner, and your rebuttal seemed awfully contrived compared to your normal style. But lacking any solid evidence, I hesitated - and got killed before I got the chance to start building a case.

Hrm, and here I was thinking I wasted my time killing you.

Hehe, yes. I didn't know who else we could trust and who would be smart enough to figure it out, so I suggested we PM you. I kinda figured it would suck if everyone PM'd the crap out of you, but I didn't see any other way of making the plan work.

Which was my point all along...
His plan actually was a good idea for us humans AND aliens. It just wasn't executed to its full potential.
So, I was Mafia based playing a card game (Family Business) with a friend who just got back from a European Tour with his band. He told me about this game Mafia that his band played before every show. So thats what Phalla is based off of... right? Anyone ever play the real life version?

Only when you can determine collisions as atomically as possible - you have to make it private. By not revealing the various cities, you can easily prevent important information from getting out (the Family of Four, the Devouts) while increasing the Alien's risk (the less they know, the better).
When it's public, you lose almost all of its benefits.
Alien: "Oh, mtv, I'm not a religious human, although I am from Tehran."

Cultist: *LOCKED ON TARGET*
Alien: "GOTCHA, SUCKA!!"
Uh...
So you're saying that... if... she.. weighs the same as a duck, she's made of wood. And therefore -- a witch!

I'm curious Funkywaltdogg, what caused you to kill me?
Also, was anyone NOT suspicious of me? I'm honestly surprised I wasn't band-wagoned day 4-5. I kept doing stupid/suspicious stuff but when people noticed it at all they blamed other people for it.

You were one of the last three people on my list of possible cultists. I wanted the cultist to get another bomb off to speed up the game, and of my three suspects I thought you were the least likely. The other two were going to be my targets last night.
Yeah Saburbia. I actually was networking with the aliens behind the scenes, because I found your avatar so suspicious. I didn't think that the public would buy the avatar argument twice, so I had the aliens do it for me. :P
And now Squashua finds out just how much he was pissing me off.
Goes double in return. You wouldn't stop fucking hounding me with the PMs.
Right there was a give-away, but I was looking for cultists, not aliens, at the time.

Serisously his stupid town plan and how he beat it to death.
He was just so sanctimonius, that had I not been blownup I would've probably lead the bandwagon to get him locked.
I knew it wasn't him. I bandwagoned him just to save Munkus.

Yes, Phalla is Mafia.

If I had to guess, your avatar.
Are you serious? You were the public network head, of course we were going to kill you.
I doubt it.
Enjoy our alieny knowledge.
Time for an EGOSEARCH!!!!
And now Squashua finds out just how much he was pissing me off.
Was I really being a "thingybite" early in the game as you suggested?
(It's okay, I know I was.)
Not to any degree where it bothered me, but I thought it was enough to justify a vote against you if we needed to spread out our votes.
I really enjoyed this game.
Yeah, me too.
