Back when I was palying CO I also went to the official forums. Those have to be the stupidest most moronic bunch of retards I've ever seen in one place. Just browsing that forum will shorten your lifespan and perhaps even damage your soul.

I think so, yes. The refer a friend trial lets you get out of the tutorial and play around with powers a lot more. It does restrict your socialization in game (to prevent the referral trials from becoming spam vehicles).
As I understand it the non-friend trial doesn't let you leave the tutorial, which is garbage.
All right, I figured out how to talk to NPCs when there's multiple NPCs nearby without having to hit "z". It looks like you can just double click the guy to talk to him

You could just click once on the bubbles that show up at the bottom of the screen with their name on it.

i played open beta last year and had the time of my LIFE getting my character to level20. I remember SuperJump was the best transport option, and the most fun.
I'd like to play again since the game is uber cheap but... the starting zone sucked my balls and i've alread done the desert. Have they fixed all the bugs from canadian winter?
Just wanted to drop down here that apparently (like i have been sort of saying) chain lightning with the advantage seems to be (according to my experience, and the forums...cesspools though they are) one of the few decent tier zeros
I don't have it on my main electricity character, but my Might/elec guy seems to be making good use of it.
The idea is if you have ionic reverb, and chain lightning with lightning helix advantage, you AUTOMATICALLY return energy if you tapspam chain lightning, even on single targets
So it basically replaces your END builder (not completely, but it is a very good power still)
and since all charging it does is increase the chance it will jump (and thus give you more endurance back) yet doesnt increase the cost, it is a really good tier 0.
I think we should make a list....
GOOD TIER ZERO POWERS
Two gun mojo
Chain lightning (with lightning helix)
Ego Weaponry (until you replace it with breach)
Eldritch Blast (with advantage)
Shred (with advantage, i THINK...never tried it)

GOOD TIER ZERO POWERS
Two-Gun Mojo: A single target attack that is slightly inferior to Assault Rifle overall, but is acceptable if AR is not wanted for thematic reasons. The Enrage buff you get from a full maintain is a nice little ghetto buff.
Chain Lightning (with lightning helix advantage): As a replacement/accessory to your Energy Builder that requires Ionic Reverb. In my opinion this is not worthwhile, due to requiring 2 powers and 2 advantage points for the combo just to (not quite) replace your EB.
Ego Weaponry: This attack is acceptable damage wise, particularly at R3. It is outshone later on by Ego Blade Breach but it's very worthwhile up to that point.
Eldritch Blast (with sorcerer's whim advantage): Tap Binding of Abatron to place a weak hold on your target, and then unload the advantaged Eldritch Blast for very nice single target damage.
Ice Blast (with hard frost advantage): Play with your snowman until an enemy has the Chill debuff and then tap spam rape them with Ice Blast. Warning: Graphical effect of tap spamming Ice Blast will also rape your computer.
Shred: Maybe?
Ego Blast: This one is decent with the mind opener advantage

Two-Gun Mojo works better for me because you can move around with it. While Assault Rifle doesn't root you like Gatling Gun, it does make you move around more slowly and I don't think you can jump with it on.
Additionally, unless you take the advantage, Assault Rifle has a cooldown, IIRC. Given that most minions require two maintains of Assault Rifle to kill, that cooldown can be a pain.

Sadly, the Cryptic business model is churning out one MMO after another rather than perfecting the ones they already have.

laser sword
which meshes not only with the damage type (apparently electric form also increases particle damage?) but ALSO my concept of a super scientist
i also took laser shield to fit the concept...and cause it looks cool
gonna get laser knight with my next advantage points, then gonna get the damage debuff for laser sword
and then electric form and then GIGABOLT

My lag is worse, and the game occasionally freezes on me and crashes, about half the time taking my whole computer with it.

Obviously once we have Rainbow Flight/Rainbow Sliding power we can make all sorts of tribute heroes not limited to Rainbow Brite.
Some may laugh, but there is one dev who is an enormous RUA fan. We must hold out hope.
