Man you guys need to stop arguing about stupid tests.
Some colleges want SATs some want ACTs, it all depends on what the focus of the college is on. I know that around where I live (Midwest) there weren't many colleges at all who wanted the SAT. As I understand it a lot of Western school don't require the ACT.
Or you could not be a bloomin' ignoramus and realize that some people have NO IDEA what the SAT change entailed. Rather than saying "they added another 800-point section" and having SOMEONE go "oh, so I add 800 points to my score?", I figured I'd lay things out.
No, ignorance is thinking that anyone who took the SAT long enough ago that they got a 1600-based score gives half a shit about what their score translates to.

Fuck it's just a test.
Yeah I'm really glad that they're diversifying, gives other people opportunities. I'm sick of SAT subjects, though. I just took AP tests, I don't want another drawn-out single-subject test!
Rawgh.
I wonder how many bubbles I've filled in with a number two pencil, calculator, no food or drink in the testing area in my life.

Thought process went something like "I wonder what that translates to in hey look yogurt awmnomnom."

Because clearly putting that information down somehow inconveniences you to the point that you'd rather I hadn't.
I live in New Mexico, it's not that bad. Everyone who likes to talk shit about how awful it is usually grew up in the burbs anyway and have no idea what they are talking about.

Please, these are internet people. It's more like:
"I wonder what my score is in today's ooh a cat picture with a caption awmnomnom."

if the internet is so below you there is a door that leads to you getting off of it

I definitely don't live in the shitty part of town (I am surrounded by Hispanic Catholics, it's pretty tame), but spending 6+ hours huddled under a desk 4 or 5 times a school year is pretty shitty.

Ok, now I gotta know which high school you go to, because this reeks of over-exaggeration.

No, see, that actually happened to me.
I saw yogurt that I had purchased and became distracted, and ceased wondering what my score would have translated into.

Santa Fe High School. So far, we've had 3 "lockdowns", one due to a bomb, two due to...gang fights, I think been turned away from school once because of a bomb. Yes, I exaggerated: I said 4 or 5, we've actually had 3. Every single such event is "lights off, blinds down, sit on the floor, go to the bathroom in the corner in a bucket".

Well, one must mill about with the common, feeble-minded folk from time to time, remind them of the hierarchy and all that.
Hence the response to every single one of my posts, even the ones not directed at you.
Reverse psychology! Oh-ho, you sly dog you! C'mere, give me a hug.
