For spiritomb, it has to be 32 people over wifi, not the hikers down there. You have to get with friends and each enter the underground, talk to each other, leave and then reenter until you each have the 32 needed. It's a total pain but he's such a sweek poke to catch.

    <edit>
On the other hand, I plan to breed some this weekend and would be happy to send one your way if you like. I'm sure most folks here would do the same.

Yep, I'm a spiritbomb breeder out of spite of what you have to do to get one. So if Uncle can't, I can.

Gah. I've bred 2 or 3 Aipoms with the right nature and decent IVs, but they all had Pickup instead of Run Away->Technician. Curse you pokegods!

Hmm. I have the urge to make a Cobra Unit-themed Pokemon team. I'm not sure what The Joy (Big Boss) and The End would be. Possibly Octillary for the latter, seeing as he's a sniper...octopus.

Ok guys I need some help.

I just got the 4th badge in Pastoria but I have no idea where I'm supposed to go next.

I can't get to Sunnyshore because of the blackout.
I can't get to Canalave because I don't have swim.
I can't get to Celestic because I don't have the badge to use Strength.

I don't think I can get to snowpoint, the way that makes sense logically is blocked by my not having strength.

Also, if I were to buy a guide for this game in dead tree form, should I get the Prima guide or the Ultimate National Pokedex?

I am fooling around with a new Ninetails idea, since it can actually use Special attacks as of DP.

    Ninetails@Choice Scarf/Specs
    Modest Nature
    252 Sp.Attack and Speed, 6 Sp.Defense

    Flamethrower
    Energy Ball
    Dark Pulse
    Extrasensory

Essentially my Magmortar, but with more Defense, Sp. Defense, and Speed, and a Fire immunity. Gives coverage for Grass, Ice, Bug, Steel, Ground, Water, Rock, Ghost, Psychic, Poison, and Fighting. I doubt any Pokemon resists all 11 of those types.

Anticipate is a must for Toxicroak. Otherwise, that actually looks like a pretty nice set, presuming you could find a good item to support it.

I'm not at all experienced much with coming up with good synergies between pokemon on a battle team, but I'd like to hear what you guys think of this or any suggestions to make it better.

    Blastoise-
    Rain Dance
    Toxic
    xxx (Rapid spin for utility?)
    xxx

    Toxicroak- Dry skin / leftovers
    Substitute
    Poison Jab
    Sucker Punch
    Focus Punch

The idea I suppose would be trying to set up a Rain Dance and if possible poisoning the foe with toxic before switching to Toxicroak and using sub to mitigate damage while healing from the rain/leftovers. Is this a totally stupid setup or should I just screw rain dance and go for anticipate on toxicroak and make better use of the slot blastoise would take?

Dry Skin is really not a good idea for Toxicroak. The dude has a double weakness to psychic and he's weak to earthquake, so he really needs to know Anticipate so that you can switch out when necessary. Additionally, Anticipate helps LOADS with calling Sucker Punch correctly, if you wanna play a little dangerously.

Also, could someone help me check some IVs?
