My lady has an awesome hat that I will be wearing with hiking boots, shorts and a light button-up t-shirt as a sort of explorer type thing.
She had a great leather bag thing from WWII that her grandfather used, but I didn't really feel like busting it out for a party because dang that thing is awesome and I don't want to bring it.
Also I will be bringing my crystal skull with me to drink out of
Yes, I had an official plush T-Rex hat with a lighted fence I made around my neck. The only picture I have right now also has Jordyn and Framling in it. And has about the most unflattering angle possible.

Man, your guys' costume set is Bad. Ass. Actually everyone looks super-awesome. Love the Amazon.
Due to everyone I know being, um, weirdly and coincidentally under the weather today, I haven't been able to coax the people who took photographs to upload my lobster costume. But sooon.

So anyway, I'm sure you all are finished with your partying, unless you're going trick or treating tomorrow or, as I did, having a second afternoon of Halloweening today. But October ain't over, which means it's on to Day 30.
If you haven't watched this movie in a while - a thing I tend to do because I actually love Aliens more (someday I'm going as Vasquez for Halloween so help me) - it's easy to forget that while it may not be your favourite of the series it is far and away more terrifying and atmospheric.
The use of sound and scenery and dialogue all combine to make one pants-wetting movie. I could quote you a bunch of stuff about sexual overtones and artistic design and pacing but hey, sometimes you should just watch a guy exploring a fucking scary tunnel and appreciate it for what it is. And what it is is terrifying.
I shall follow it up with a song that doesn't have anything to do with aliens. In fact it's about werewolves. But it's also about transformations and the hidden, which I would say are components of the Alien film, so it's not like there's no relation. Also it's a really good rock and roll song. (Unless you do not like TV on the Radio, in which case it'll probably just annoy you.) I guess it's been in a bunch of TV shows and video games, but I wouldn't know because I live on the moon.
And switching from literature back to art, here is another series from a blog I'd already linked (Golden Age Comic Book Stories, which is routinely spectacular, by the way). This time it's about a fellow who Knows What Evil Lurks in the Hearts of Men. They're by an artist named Mike Kaluta, who is also routinely spectacular.

had like 8 shots of gin on a mostly empty stomach before leaving the dorms for the night, wound up at a party where this jazz band was playing, used their bathroom, still drinking gin (had about 3 shots worth left) almost get hit by a car and my friends pull me out of the intersection before that can happen, dance for a while at this random party we found in some basement, where there are two stairways leading out and it takes me 3 tries to find the correct one to outside, wander around just following people, sit down in grass to try and GPS my way back to the first party because I wanted to see a band that was playing there, give up, somehow start hanging out with this group of huge black dudes, they were cool, make it back to the first party through witchcraft, use their bathroom again, run into a girl who I saw earlier in the night (she was dressed as a crime scene), we dance together for a while (she had a nice booty), she is asking me where I live and all sorts of leading questions, I am too drunk to "get it," she disappeared, the band I wanted to see started playing, see a couple people from my french class (one of them a girl that I was kinda really in to) and they are super drunk, we hang out for a bit, they leave when the band takes a break, I wander outside and see them making out and I am like "well damn," then I see a girl I know who lived at the house, and we hang out and agree that the two were going to get it on, I receive mad hugs, realize that I have long since lost my bottle with gin in it, wander back toward my dorm, two people I know met me half way across campus from the dorm so that they could help me get back without getting an MIP, then I slept I think.
That is what I remember. Halloween is too much for me.
The bar crawl I went on yesterday was incredible fun, by the way. I really should have done a shout out to the forums to see if any of you guys were going, since it was a Seattle thing and fairly well-attended.
I had a really good martini and met a bunch of cool folks.
Also, Bucketman and crwth I dig your costumes! Bts, I can't determine what you are supposed to be I'm sorry
i had a clipboard with my roster on it, including the likes of big jimmy, blond kid, kevin o'doyle, the tan kid, little jimmy slim jim, jerome "the fast one" smith and "tim"
