I realize this is a way late question, but is there any easy way to manage multiple saves on the Xbox. Want to start a Mage but damn the save system sucks.
It's got something to do with Snow Elves too though. Wonder how big this DLC is going to be. I'm hoping for it to be closer to Shivering Isle size than Fallout 3 DLC size.
They straight up said that it's going to be the size of an expansion pack, like SI or Tribunal.
Like directly? I know they said it's going to be pretty bigger, but I didn't know they're likened it directly to SI and Tribunal.
They said they were going back to the old model of making large expansions. Can't remember if they likened it to the previous expansions but there you go.

Are Snow Elves the Falmer? If they're not I would love to talk to an intelligent Falmer. Not to the point where I want to walk through another fucking Falmer dungeon, however

Snow Elves were what Falmer were before they were tortured and turned into the beings they are today. I think.

Originally I think so, yeah. We'll probably meet some Snow Elves who managed to escape being fucked over by the Dwemer.
which could be, you know, any old prince, or it could be a reference to a thing from bloodmoon
theory: given presence of snow elf prince animations that point to a supposedly long-dead bloodmoon character, as well as a fleshing out of vampire mechanics
the snow prince was a vampire and still lives, the expansion being about
well
something involving the snow prince ascending to something, given that that is one of the animation files is called?
also a possible return to solstheim
in my fantasies they utilize the open gate to morrowind that exists ingame as the starting point, adding the western half of Morrowind and Solstheim in the north to the skyrim map
look at that blacklight is a redoran town and skyrim featured a cave named Redoran's Retreat for no particular reason clearly it is a sign

just from looking at the filenames, they all sound like
well, facial animations, intricate to a degree that hasn't really shown up in a bethesda game before
I have no idea what RF indicates but based on what appear to be detailed facial animations I am also going to guess this expansion features some kind of giant face
ahem
as a proficient wolfman I simply must tell you you are wolfmanning wrong
how to be best at wolfman:
- only do power attacks while moving, these send everything short of mammoths and dragons flying and if dudes are trying to stand up they are not attacking
- fear shout
- hitting the fear shout button while feeding interrupts the feeding animation and lets you continue the rampage while still healing you
- get the ring of hircine so when you need to heal up in a dungeon without eatable people in it you can just rest, heal yourself normally, then wolfman up again
- better fear shout
on characters in which I become a wolfman I have to limit myself my wolfmanning because if I didn't I would just kill everything as a wolfman and gain no experience for all my dungeon crawling
Werewolf has some awesome animation, generally just looks cool and feels great to use with a controller but ultimately I just never felt like it was powerful enough to warrant use.
my main problem with werewolf form offensively is that the third-person camera feels pretty loosey goosey in combat and i found myself whiffing power attacks more often than i liked
it otherwise does great damage
i just didn't feel like it held up very well against multiple enemies
maybe the upgraded fear shout helps; in my wolf-person game that sequence of quests bugged out so i wasn't able to get those things

yeah but
you're a big wolfman and you eat people and roar and rawr!!
being a werewolf does fuck all for any of your skills
which is more damning than any other single thing about it
one of the ideas i've had on the back burner for a while (especially since that game jam video) was a really devoted werewolf run, where i'd just run around in like, fur armor with a knife and use werewolf form for the majority of the combat
i wasn't quite sure how to work out the leveling issue though
i guess by the time werewolfing became a practical option i'd have to have had a few levels under my belt already
enough to get the ring of hircine at the very least (although i'm pretty sure that's one of the earliest daedric quests you can get)
aside from that i'd be looking at
-alteration (for extra defense)
-sneak possibly (how much sneaking would i do when i can do into a wolfman though)
-smithing, enchanting, etc (fuck these skills i'm not grinding them again)
-the shit that just naturally goes up, if slowly (lockpicking, speech)
-maybe i could cheese it with the companion trainer exploit

that was one of my favorite parts about bloodmoon
East Empire Company is the tits
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)
i still want a morrowind mod for skyrim
i don't think there's an elegant way

We'll see more at E3, I guess.

which are two pretty awesome things and no question
but I still didn't like it anywhere near as much as Tribunal.

yeah the city was big, and the ruins and sewers, but those aren't the same. didn't have the same sense of adventure to me

super secret patch files
uh
latest patch
are
these look like they correspond to a bit of that skyrim game jam video that depicts a vampire character feeding on an enemy in combat
so
there will probably be cool new vampire things
and widow's peaks for all the races
and and a large castle on top of a mountain
and a village at the bottom of said mountain where the people LIVE IN FEAR
Give this man a job
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better

we would like to present you with a superpower
this superpower reduces your armor damage reduction from 80% to zero and cuts your weapon damage to about 2/3 of what it is
YOU'RE WELCOME.
actually werewolf form is still pretty decent offensively since it has crazy knockdowns and shit, but the zero armor thing is fucking atrocious
god help you if there's an archer nearby; you're half dead by the time you've finished transforming
every character rocking a widow's peak

that's all I ever needed to use it
I have accomplished some of my greatest feats as a wolfman
slew many giants with my bare hands
ate markarth
even killed a dragon as a wolfman once
i wasn't quite sure how to work out the leveling issue though
just eat skyrim with nothing able to oppose you
