Alright, hopefully I'm doing this right ...

I open with a hand of:
2 Cubes
Cube; Bomb
Cube; Coin

I place 4 cubes on The People's Will.

Then with:
Coin
Coin; Bomb

I purchase a cube from my reserve.

Then discard:
2 Bombs

and end turn.

Can we get some kind of update on how many cubes each player has available/in limbo/in reserve? Right now it doesn't matter but after a few rounds it's going to be tough to keep track.

I'm not sure why, but that image of the board absolutely slaughters my computer. Maybe spoiler block it, or provide it as a clickable link in future posts?

You have only 2 actions, and discard is not free. So, you keep the last card in hand.

Can we get some kind of update on how many cubes each player has available/in limbo/in reserve? Right now it doesn't matter but after a few rounds it's going to be tough to keep track.

Mmmm... the OP contains this info. Is it not enough?

Ah, ok! Misread of the rules on my part, so I still have that card in my hand and draw 5 more to return to 6 total.

Ms Scarlet walked over to the window of her late Uncle's Central Parisian Apartment, the counterpoint flickering light of the fire and the sporadic flashes of lightning causing shadows around her to move and form into half imagined horrors. Shivering, she pulled her gown about her as she was reminded that there were worse things in the world than mere shadows. Looking out across the sleeping city she waited until she heard her lover leave then lit a fresh cigarette and drew her first drag heavily as the ornamental clock on the mantel piece struck the hour and was then silent, she would receive her instructions soon.

What seemed to be hours later, the telephone rang. As the first ring rang out and was silent again, it was punctuated by an ominous crash of thunder from the storm outside. Sighing, Ms Scarlet glided over to the telephone and waited for the third ring as was part of this ritual. She picked up the phone.

"Bon jour?"...

Can't access the links in the OP, so while I can read the player aid in the post above, I have no real idea what my overall strategy should be. Nevermind, I'll muddle through and see what happens.

To buy two cubes.

Section action:

Cube; Coin
Cube; Bomb

To place two cubes on London. Owning a city is probably useful somehow.

Rules clarification... I can only place tokens (influence, block markers etc) in cities where my agent(s) is(are) correct? I couldn't see it stated explicitly in the rules.

I don't think that's the case, but your agent counts as a point of influence. Could be wrong though!

I will still be able to claim the city at the start of my next turn right? The rules don't say you have to be on it but I am not sure.

I'm pretty sure you can still claim it next turn. You can't move without playing cards with a number of coins for the trip from Vienna to Constantinople, however.

You can put influence on any card, you do not need to have an agent in the city for that. The same is for claiming.

Nope, you need at least one cube on anything to claim it.
