I'm curious, what kind of mice are you guys using for Steaming?
Do you dig something with a ton of programmable buttons, or something more simple?
A "Gaming Mouse", or something more mainstream?
Ever since I started using the G700 I've been in heaven (I think I'm gonna try and see if I can set up the programmable buttons to switch tracks in Steam Music), so I'm wondering what kinds of mice are popular amongst the rest of you.
Right now, a Razer Naga Hex. And I hate it and will never, ever buy another Razer product ever. Ever. Total shit product.
Before that, and after this one finally dies, Logitech mice forevermore.
It's neat to have tons of buttons, too, but I find that I don't actually use them most of the time. I don't have the muscle memory for being able to keep track of what does what without consciously thinking about it. So in the end I am happiest with two thumb buttons and maybe one or two buttons on top (DPI by default usually, but I tend to reassign them).
I always use Logitech mice and keyboards. Right now using G700s mouse which has more than enough buttons on it. They have a new flagship mouse out, the G502.
I'm not sure how I feel about that new one, between the lights and the weird uncomfortable looking shape, it's like someone got their Razer in my Logitech.
While we're on peripherals though, does anyone have any recommendations for wireless gaming keyboards?
Chipmunks are like nature's nipple clamps, I guess?

My very first gaming mouse was a Razer DeathAdder, which I loved to death. Like, until it literally stopped working. Then I bought a Logitech G500, which is the first mouse I bought with a weight cartridge. I don't think I'll ever go back. I love this thing. Been kicking for a while now.
It will be standalone, on the usual places. Free for owners of the expansion already. Probably a good idea since nearly every Shadowrun conversation these days is "Well, you should really just play Dragonfall."
So on mice, I use the g700 because it is wireless, but has a wired option. If it dies, I'm up and running in seconds.
note it has a special cable that fits right into the front. It is always tucked behind my keyboard. When I used batteries, I had connection issues, keys not working, no batteries. I will not go that route again. I don't use my computer on my tv anymore though, so that might change. I got it so I could sit on the couch and wirelessly do stuff across the room.
As for magic 2015, yeah I get the feel it is more like there online game. I wonder if they are just going that route? I don't think I will be interested in a new one of those.
On streaming, next week I plan on streaming. I will do this on Monday and Tuesday, I plan on doing long streams. I think I should be awake around 9 am PST, and have nothing better to do until the afternoon.
I will try and get a schedule of what I plan on doing. I'm planing in breaks so I move, I will have something going while I'm moving. So far I plan on complete play through of Monkey Island 1 (TM). I am considering if people would want more rabbits. I can finish up Rayman. I also have a lot of games I have never played or beaten. So I'm up for suggestions.
I'm also up for multiplayer if people want to join. I understand this is during the day, so more might not be able to join. I however need to plan with Mrs. Alure evening stream times. It isn't that I can't, it is I enjoy my limited time with her due to our jobs making it limited.
I won't link the picture, it is to big, but here is list of my games and you can see what is installed. I don't have room left on HD really now. But I guess I could use steam mover?
I won't put picture as it is huge here, but here is link to all my games. You can see what ones I have installed. I have to many games I serve well
Hey. Hey, Steam thread. I have a coupon that one of you might want to use. 20% off OlliOlli. I'd use it myself, but I only have $1.14 in ye olde wallete. Game looks pretty great so if you want to save another 20% on top of the 10% you're already saving because it is new let me know and I'll figure out how to get it to you.
In other news - I'm completely re-addicted to the Sims.
Glad to hear it.
I think we can blame Antoshka for that. Just cuz.
I'm not clear on the blame calculus here, but OK. Also, that made me look at pricing for the Sims 3 on Steam, and regional pricing batman is strong there. Why is EA so bad at this?
To people looking for cheap "gaming" mouse type devices, there's apparently this one from Best Buy that is on clearance for 17 bucks. No thumb buttons, though, just what appear to be other buttons near the wheel.
Also, I already bugged a few people about it, but I would be keen to play Borderlands 2 co-op with people. Or Borderlands 1 co-op, if you want to do that first. I played a bit of BL1 on PS+ so when my sub lapsed I didn't really want to do it all over again on PC.
I'm also using a 6 dollar keyboard I got off Amazon that uses a PS/2 connector because I didn't have a USB hub and didn't want to waste two USB slots with a mouse and a keyboard. It was surprisingly tough to find a keyboard with a backspace key that was in the shape I like (not the space of one key, but a solid two) and a complete numberpad on the side.

One of the best mice ever made. That and my Microsoft Sculpt. Aside from the shitty connection it has to the PC.

I roll a SteelSeries Sensei. The DPI is highly customizable. It can hold five "themes" each with a customized color scheme of your choice and two DPIs. It comes in handy for FPS games. When I play Payday 2, I put in in my "FPS" scheme, with a high and low DPS. When I have a long range weapon, I switch to the low scheme when its time to snipe. Then for games like Starcraft 2 and Civ, I switch to a "strategy" scheme that has a high DPS.
All this mouse porn is bumming me out. The scroll wheel on my old Windows mouse that I love has stopped working, but I'm too broke to replace it right now.
That scroll wheel has given me grief since day 1 though, so I'm definitely not buying another MS mouse despite how much I liked everything else about it. Probably spring for a Logitech or something when I can afford it.

I got one of these a few months back on the cheap. It is a super-manly colour.
It has two buttons and a scroll wheel!
I always liked the ergonomics of MS mice. But I recently had to replace one and just couldn't find one that wasn't WiFi. So I picked up some wired HP thing for sub-$10. Since I'm not a big PC gamer, it does the trick. I'd probably look into a gaming mouse if I ever found myself in possession of a computer desk. Fact is, the armrest of a chair isn't all that demanding for precision...
Man, right after I go ahead and buy OlliOlli, I get two coupons for -20% since I own Broforce and Hotline Miami. Pretty lame. Anybody need coupons for OlliOlli? PM me.
Is anyone actually playing Olliolli yet? I'm considering it. Have some wallet moneys. Was thinking of saving and getting Trails in the Sky in 4 days, but I've never been good with money just sitting there to be used, the coupon has almost got me over the edge.
Heard it was a bit crashy on Vita. Anyone got some impressions?
MS actually does make some pretty good hardware. I use their trackball, which doesn't cause my hand to cramp up like the tiny logitech ones do (the logitech ones that don't cut into the gap between my thumb and fingers that is)
I just spent about 40 minutes with it. And it is good.
Like, that special sort of good where two people who have experienced a thing can just look at each other and smile and nod slightly and know. You know? Because it's good.
If you like old school turn-based 3D first-person type games and would like to play one with deep and interesting stats/mechanics but one that incorporates such simple-but-pleasurable things as mouselook, and you appreciate humor in your gaming, you should totally check this game out.
Did I mention it's good? Because it is. /smile /nod
I was going to make a Slowbro meme for this, but eh, effort.
Hey guys, that Tomb Raider game is pretty great! I actually bothered to go and find all the collectibles and upgrade all the gear and get all the skills. I pretty much never do that with games, but this one I did. I just wish it was a bit longer, but maybe that would have put too much strain on the story? I dunno, definitely worth the like $6 I paid for it (and then some).
Well, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast is off the backlog. I regret playing Jedi Academy before it because the latter had better lightsaber controlls and let you unlock combo lists while the former was composed of me flailing around hoping I hit something.
Something I realized from the end of the game.
Enemy Dark Jedi and Shadowtoopers? Not a problem with grip, just hold them in the air and let the other jedi cut them to ribbons
This is actually quite similar to my dark side Twilek in Jedi Academy, I would advise putting all points into force grip as soon as possible.
Now to try Grid again with my PS2 controller and........it doesn't recognize it.....meh, onto the witcher.

It's not the size of the ship, but the motion in the ocean.
A lot of small boat captains say that. :P

Dammit @Antoshka I thought you declared a truce? Did someone change the definition of that word without informing me? HEADS WILL ROLL!
Thanks, though! This looks so amazing I can't wait to check it out.

Anyone played this ?
Trailer makes it look interesting - like a comedy Wizardry 8.
I've wishlisted it, if someone can give it a few thumbs up ?
I impulse bought the Logitech G600 last year and I really like it.
Very comfortable and oodles of buttons. The software is also pretty versatile and allows for easy customization of game-specific profiles.
Thanks, Bery!

What the heck, @Berylline? How is that even almost a proportionate response to Shantae?
