For some reason, Hearthstone performance is worse on my Galaxy S6 than my old S5. Board wipes of any kind, and any "smoky" effects (Doomsayer, Flamestrike, Ysera Awakens, etc) wreck the frame rate. Any reasons why such effects would cause the S6 to shit itself?
Only thing I can think of is you went from a Qualcomm chip to a Samsung chip which means you went from an Adreno GPU to a Mali one. So perhaps the graphics chip can't handle it?
You can join pretty early on, I think Cartels get introduced around Lv. 3 or 5. I'm about 12, the game is pretty rad though I'm not thrilled on the cost of premium pull ($3.99-$3.81 per pull, depending on bulk).
One sec, I'll spin us up a Cartel.
All done, was 1,000 credits. Look up WeAreNiceGuys.
Cool, I'll drop my own that I made for PA folk and join yours. Bonus is that you'll have to manage it and I can just reap the rewards. =P I'll look it up when I get back to my phone.

The PC version of the game has a graphical quality setting. Does the Android version expose that, and is it set to a higher level on your S6 than on your S5?

My crappy laptop has the low setting, and the phone doesn't provide graphical options, so I guess its the GPU.
Good RPGs? Strategy games like Advance Wars available?
Something for a smartphone, not a tablet.
RPGs:
- KOTOR is tiny on phone screens, but quite playable.
- Chrono Trigger. Been playing this on my iPhone in short bursts for months; it's very good.
- I've heard nice things about The Bard's Tale. More of an action-RPG.
- Dragon Quest VIII. A PS2 game ported to phones. Bit of an odd bird; only plays in portrait mode.
- The World Ends With You. Port of an excellent Nintendo DS game.
- Then there's all the random Final Fantasy games.
- Cardinal Quest 2 is a very good roguelike.
- Aralon Sword and Shadow is sort of an open world Elder Scrolls sort of thing.
Strategy like advance wars:
- Final Fantasy Tactics, perhaps? It has the RPG bits, it has the tactics bits. Not sure if it'd be compatible with a phone; might depend how large your screen is.
- Greed Corp comes to mind. Destroying the battlefield to gain resources and deny the enemy progress is a central mechanic.
- Heroes of Might & Magic III HD came out a little bit ago. I understand that the controls are a bit janky as it's a port, but the original game is very good; a classic.
Hmm. Was kind of hoping to get something out of this start destroyer, buy rewards stop at like top 4k and I'm at 20k playing more than I really wanted.
What is this I don't even.

Yes, I'm quoting myself.
I should add that I should have counted my blessings. The S6 better handles lots of units on the board with visual effects upon them, such as lots of Twilight Drakes, Spell Damage++ and Stealth units.
I guess im missing something in the game mechanic then. I've got this hired gunman crew member that is maxed out, I've even got the materials needed for the upgrade, but it's not letting me upgrade because I don't have the blueprint. But as far as I knew, I got blueprints previously when I hit max level. So how do I get the blueprint?
EDIT: ahh nevermind, I get it now, you long press on the blueprint icon and it will tell you what you need. which in this case is a full set of scavenger armor. weird...but ok Some blueprints seemed to be earned merely by maxing the crewmember or the equipment, but I guess maybe I already had the requirement and didn't know it

Battle for Wesnoth is on Android. Dunno if it's a good port, but the PC version is rad so it's worth checking out

Also, I'd love some good adventure games for my phone... any suggestions? I liked "Creatures Such As We" though it was pretty short.
Starting to run into a number of bugs in the equipment grind. Hope they issue a patch soon

Also we should probably make a separate thread.
