I figured out that on the Lijiang Tower - Garden level, you can use Lucio to wall ride over the pillar thing in the middle of the point.
Usually what I will do is hug that pillar/wall thing, running around in circles if I need to in order to avoid dying. But then when playing as Lucio I discovered he can wall ride right over the fucking thing (which I then proceeded to do over and over). Not even sideways, just right over it. It confuses the fuck out of whoever is trying to kill you.
i think i got the basketball in the hoop but im not sure
Is there not a cheevo for that?

I just learned that Hanzo's arrows only charge to 125 damage. Widowmaker charges to 150 and charges slightly faster even.
Why would the easier to land hitscan shot do more damage than the projectile with travel time and a firing arc?
This makes no sense.
Presumably the rest of the kits. Widow is more or less just her gun. Hanson brings a big ult, a small version of a widow ult and the ability to insta gib turrets and poke around corners.
Widowmaker is better mobility, a flank denying trap and wall hacks for her entire team, a better kit imo.
Hanzo has the sonic arrow.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I think widow is better most of the time, especially if you're an amazing player. They're different though.
Also don't underestimate shotgun arrow - there is a large area infront of someone's feet where that wipes any 200hp hero out from full (much easier than hitting a headshot at close range on moving targets and you do not need to fully charge it as the damage of the splinters does not change).

Which only affects a small area, for a short time, and you have to guess where to shoot it. It's a good move but really isn't comparable to widow's ult which is infinite range. Sonic arrow can let you know if there is an enemy in a specific spot, which is nice. Widow's ult lets you know where the entire enemy team is on the map, which is nuts.

Does the damage of the splinters not change? Messing around in the training range shooting an uncharged scatter arrow at the feet of the target dummy usually took off half of its health while a charge one always killed. Or is that just the charged shot having a different trajectory thanks to the speed that makes it more likely to kill? Regardless scattershot is a good move if you have to charge it or not.

Zenny's stuck in a really weird place balance wise.
He has no mobility and no health and therefore sucks if the enemy team sneezes on him.
But he also heals, de-buffs and can bring as much damage as a good DPS barring ultimates so you can't just straight buff his health.
It's why I think the best fix for him would be a slight change/addition to his kit rather than numbers, same for Hanzo who I think should be pushed more into a utility role because there's no way he's ever competing with Widow for top snipe person.
Zenyatta, like Roadhog, is best as a second support. He's still okay as the team's only support sometimes, but he's really fucking good with a Lucio.
Zeny is helped a bit by a tank like Reinhardt too, someone that provides a place to hide.
It's a shame that he's made of paper, because he's probably my favorite support character. If they aren't going to boost his health, I would really like Blizz to make him quite a bit faster, if he was as fast as someone like Gengi it would help make up for his low health pool.
Thing is, he heals others and hits like a truck though...man if you make him even a little harder to hit or a little tougher he could easily tip into too good. I agree he needs a tweek, but it is going to be a very fine tune for sure.

Change his 50 health into 50 armor, making him 50 armor 100 shields. Maybe the easiest way to take him out of one shot range of some stuff without just giving him an extra 50 life to chew through.
I'm 95% the splinters are unch regardless of charge. (they do travel faster as they inherit some of the arrows speed so charge it a little but not to full).
Hanzo's sonic arrow has 50% uptime as well which is huge (can be used immediately at the start of a game without charging up).
It is also just different again though. Unless your team is actually just getting run over, having to know vaguely where people are for the arrow isn't a huge ask.
80% of the use is you can drop it and prefire / out peek someone around a corner, or let an ally do the same for a freebie (hook back to 50% uptime on doing this).
Again, I think widow is better in most situations if you're good but you aren't going to be able to perfectly balance 21 characters so they're all 'best' in a equal portion of situations. Especially at top levels of play.

This has probably come up before, but genderswap skins would be friggin awesome.
I agree with this, if cultural palate swaps are on the table you should go all in. Have a set of cannon skins that are the one that go with the storyline and then go all over the place for inspiration. Genderswap, maybe some nods to pop culture if other companies are down, different ages...

I agree that you can't perfectly balance 21 characters, nor is Blizzard trying to, they like the game being heavily counter based.
My issue is the balance between the two snipers, currently it feels very off.
if you were releasing genderswapped skins what would you do for the omnics? you could do a human zenyatta skin instead but i'm not sure what you'd give bastion
(i guess you could make a human bastion work with like, turret form/tank form = pulling out an MG/rocket launcher but it'd be real rough)

I was told by a friend that Hanzo was originally booked as an offence character (I don't have a proper source sorry), and that fits pretty well with how I play him (although maybe his kit changed a bit since then).
He cannot counter snipe a widow of equal skill but that is okay as far as I'm concerned.
E: There is some reddit post where someone says 'hey he is now offence' unsure if they just swap desigination, which doesn't really mean a lot in the scheme of things.

An inverse Omnic skin for all the characters with cybernetic parts would be pretty cool.
Like an Omnic McCree with a flesh arm and chest(?).

Hanzo/Genji were originally a single character. Basically Genji but with a bow instead of the shruiken
Getting this later today. So should I just jump in or would I be better off using bots for a bit?
Check out the training room on a character or two you'd like to try to get accustomed to how their gun fires and their skills. Playing against bots may teach you bad habits.

Bastion is trickier though.
Just because most robots are presented as masculine doesn't mean they all have to be assumed to be.
What if Bastion has no gender because it's just a fucking robot? You can't assign genders to a thing that just beeps and boops and has a birb.
An inverse Omnic skin for all the characters with cybernetic parts would be pretty cool.

Yeah that's why I said it would be trickier, no need to yell at me. Bastion doesn't feel like they have a gender while Zenyatta seems like he might.
Then I demand they call up Hasbro and throw some cash to make a Galvatron skin...hehehe
I wasn't yelling, I just curse a lot.
