When Peridot and Lapis finally get around to fusing that's going to be an absurdly powerful gem. Malachite was big and could hit things, but Lapis/Peridot is going to have complete control over all the metal and water on the planet.

Just caught up to the end of Season 3. How does a show this good not get prematurely cancelled? That's what's supposed to happen.

Cartoon Network was usually against having shows go more than a few years (the only exception was Ed Edd n Eddy because of how much it was loved)
The success of Regular Show and Adventure Time simultaneously had them basically abandon that policy and now it's "the show's over when you want it to be unless ratings are just inexcusably bad"
Sugar and co. are good with it going at least 5 seasons with the caveat that they actually already have an end planned, so it probably won't be going much longer after season 5, and certainly won't be a Regular Show/Adventure Time where it's season 8 and you still don't see an end ever coming

Something I've been thinking the last few days, since seeing Beta and Earthlings: I've liked this show for a while, since someone showed me the spoiler from Jailed, then I watched all the episodes. I thought it was amazing there, but I thought of it as "niche interest" (and it's my niche of interest!). With this latest season, I no longer think that. I think it's a work of universal genius on level with a Breaking Bad or Battlestar Galactica (maybe better than that second one because they seem to have an actual ending in mind instead of just winging it). I hesitated to say it where people can see because I think some people will view that as overstating the case. Not every episode is great, but the ones that are, are amazing, nuanced, and communicate things I didn't think that TV was capable of communicating.

On my sleeve, let the runway start
I prefer that, honestly. I much prefer a series that knows where it's going and gets there in good time.
SU is not really a very episodic show/.
Each episode adds something. We learn more about a character, or the setting, or the plot moves forward a bit.
It was arguably episodic in the first season, and maaaybe in the second, but it's definitely much more story driven now than it was early on.

important point
!hat connie needs to make an appearance soon
in fact more connie in general i was hoping she would be turning up more this season and become more of a central character
So, the thing that convinces Eyeball that Steven is, in fact, Rose, is his capacity to heal gems. That is apparently the defining ability of Rose Quartz, which is also stated to be unusual. So healing gems is not in the typical Rose Quartz purview, and is potentially fully unique to the Rose Quartz we know.
What this makes me wonder is whether that healing power extends to shattered as opposed to merely cracked gems. If so, then it overturns one of the dynamics we've assumed about the Crystal Gems of the original rebellion-- that they were absolutely the weaker faction. Certainly they were outnumbered, and had no means of generating new warriors for their side except for recruiting out of the Homeworld forces. However, a broken or shattered Crystal Gem could presumably be brought back to Rose Quartz for repair. (Man, I wish there were some way of conveniently sending a fallen gem back to home base instantly...) That means that, barring a gem getting so utterly pulverized that their shards were irretrievable, the Crystal Gems return to full power from any engagement where they aren't totally wiped out. I suspect that could get real frustrating for a Homeworld whose loses were suffered permanently.
Perhaps that explains Rose's reluctance to shatter enemy gems, because death in that respect is far more likely to be permanent than that suffered by the Crystal Gems.
It would also explain the Homeworld's resort to the corruption WMD. Shattering the Crystal Gems doesn't stick, but if they're all changed into comparatively mindless beasts, Rose's healing is worthless. And if they'd just lost a Diamond to the rebellion, well... that plan might look a lot better.
In short: faced with an intractable war that the Crystal Gems are ever-so-slowly losing, Rose chooses to make what she feels is a limited escalation and shatters Pink Diamond. As a consequence, Homeworld releases the corruption and destroys the Crystal Gems entirely, making her indirectly responsible for the catastrophic losses on both sides.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
Gamestop has them (and other places like comic shops that carry mystery minis). Gamestop has 3 exclusive figs though. Rose w Gregg shirt on, Lion, and I think it was Steven with donut shirt (or it was Amy as Steven with said shirt). Go for like 6.99.

It's on Cartoon Network instead of Fox.
I mean, the way it ends just flawlessly fits as the season finale.
