We're at the point that Bethesda wouldn't confirm Skyrim Switch even though we saw it in the video.
I wouldn't sweat it. We've already got BotW and very likely Smash coming to Switch. And given how carefully-produced that video was, I'm sure it's no accident they went out of their way to include Amiibo in a shot.
Exactly, there's absolutely nothing accidental about the Mario amiibo appearing in the segment with the new Mario game.
Also, Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 on Wii U have amiibo support, so it seems very likely that their Switch ports do too.
There still hasn't been any word on the cloud/bayonetta/corrin set has there? I could have sworn the last I heard was that they were going to come out fall 2016 and it's pretty much holiday season now. Also, it's really funny how every store has a ton of animal crossing amiibo that they just can't get rid of, but only have like 2 non animal crossing amiibo on the display.
I wouldn't be surprised if the game doesn't tell the difference between Smash Link vs. Ocarina Link or Toon Link vs. other Toon Link.
I'm sure it can, but whether it will is another story. I do suspect all of the Zelda amiibo will work in some capacity tho. I could see Ganondorf enabling hard mode since he seems to do that in all zelda games he is compatible with (excluding Hyrule Warriors of course)
8-bit Link will reward you with a random number of barrels. You might find rupees inside too!
Ocarina of Time Link will reward you with a random amount of meat.
Toon Link will reward you with a random amount of fish.
Wind Waker Zelda will reward you with a random selection of plants.
The official site is wrong a lot though (I still remember it saying Duck Tales had amiibo compatibility ). I have a real hard time believing they won't support every Zelda amiibo. Though it's entirely possible classic Link and classic Toon Link will be the same as the new ones (classic Zelda possibly too).
Honestly, even looking at it now, it seems more like they are trying to advertise/sell you the new ones with that page. You've got the brand new ones coming out with the game, the anniversary ones *just* released, and Wolf Link which has special functionality that they made a specific point to talk about at e3 (also I've heard rumblings recently of stand-alone listings for Wolf Link showing up in store inventories, so he will probably be "newly" sold outside of TP HD). So basically, they are trying to sell you stuff with that page and the old ones probably have boring functionality to them (or like I said, some overlap) that isn't exciting enough to mention.
but still no corrin or bayonetta amiibo... corrin i dont care about because they would probably make it a male avatar again, but the last 3 smash amiibo should already have been released.

Yeah I am going to maintain a fool's hope that they were showing the fan custom amiibo because there really IS one coming, and it was all this clever tease where they didn't want to show the actual real one just yet... sure, that could be it, right? :P
wooo july 21 Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta amiibo are coming out. There are 2 versions of each, ff7 and advent children cloud. male and female corrin. and bayo 1 & 2 bayonetta.
Also some new link amiibo for majoras mask, twilight princess, and skyward sword - though they don't look that interesting to me.
Oh and also a pikmin (not olimar) amiibo that looks pretty cool
Only one type of Smash Bros - I assume the common kind. I wouldn't be surprised if they got one of the exclusives but it's probably not up since it isn't announced yet.

It's most likely the Bayo 2 amiibo. I suspect the Smash standard appearances are going to be sold everywhere and the alternate appearances (Advent Children Cloud, Bayo 1 Bayonetta, Female Corrin) are going to be retailer exclusive.
My shelf is getting pretty stacked with Link amiibo. I think I'll skip the Twilight Princess Link because: I don't really like Twilight Princess, I really dislike the amiibo pose, and also because it just unlocks the same BoTW stuff as SSB Link from what I've heard. The other two I'll grab for sure. Wish they had made one for Skull Kid instead of using another Link, but it's cool. Maybe we'll get some more variety in the future.
I'll probably keep an eye out for Bayonetta, and possibly one of the Robins. No interest in Cloud personally. Hopefully I can get the Pikmin on their own, just in case Hey! Pikmin ends up being a bad game.
Time to assemble the team @PacMan1979 . We got (I hope) one more hunt in us!
Hahaha I'm ready man. I turned on my twitter alerts so that I don't miss out on future announcements. Also, I'm thinking about taking a vacation day on the release date so I can do the early morning line waiting with the rest of the fiends.

They'll probably be back. The new Mario ones from e3 sold out too and I think they've since restocked (I should probably verify but I'm lazy :P)

Looks like a few more like Samus, Pit and Mega Man as well.
Power suit
Takeaway is they have Gold Mario up now. Looks like also Ness and Dark Pit. Quite a few that haven't seen a restock in awhile (if ever?)
Just means they can make less.
Now the question is where on the device the NFC scanner is (probably on the console part).
Well, that's what I meant, since the controller IS the console :P
2:12, during the Mario segment.

They're the heroes of Fire Emblem Gaiden. And pretty near the bottom of the list of people I ever expected to get amiibos.

Twilight Princess Link is too. But no free shipping or in store pickup so fuck you GameStop website. I'll just preorder at the store.
Also guys, remember, Nintendo actually makes a lot of these now. None of these are going to be hard to get. Amiibo haven't been rare in forever.
